My girlfriend and I both got our CCWs today and this place is fantastic. Our instructor was professional and extremely helpful especially since I know very little about guns. There weren't any stupid questions because we were all there to learn. We took the CCW class with Dave last week and really enjoyed it and learned a lot. Small class so Covid friendly. We went straight to the range and had to qualify first thing. My buddy and I (both Leo's) have both been coming here to support a business that has treated us well in the past. Today was quite different. While working on fundamentals with the target pushed back to the back area (15 yds) we were both directed to fire only from the 3-5 yd line. My buddy and I were shooting 36 rounds at a time with all 36 rounds hitting the paper. With one turn one of my rounds escaped and shot a clip that olds the target to the backside. Apparently this was something we had to get spoken about. The gentleman stated his boss said the clips cost money and we were ruining the cardboard behind the target (ok.....) usually this place is ran pretty good but today was disappointing. Is there an option to give SIX STARS? I've stepped into about 75% of the gun ranges in Las Vegas and this is by far the BEST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD. I'm a hospitality professional and if this place could earn a Forbes Five Star or AAA Five Diamond, they probably would get them. Everyone here is friendly, everyone here is happy to assist you, everyone here observes a safety first experience with anyone that walks through the door. In the past week, I've walked into this range at least six times in a row and I've brought in other family members to take private classes from their instructor. Every single experience was positive and most remembered our names after the first interaction. The store was always kept clean and immaculate, and the facility is very well put together. The value of the gun range experience was competitive compared to a lot of their competitors around town and they have some great deals if you ask. By the end of my fifth visit, which included five full trips to their range, two private classes (one for me and my wife), some retail purchases, and a few hours of speaking to various members of their team, I decided to get a Club Membership (valued at $1,195) because they deserve the business, all of it. I can't say enough good things about this place and I'm happy to drive 45 minutes each way to visit them and practice on the range or take classes. read more

I'm a Green Valley Range regular, I'd say we go probably two to three times a month. I'd say the Club is the way to go because the only bummer is when it's super packed 1) The prices are fair 2) The range offers complimentary targets 3) Most staff is extremely friendly 4) Unlimited free Diet Coke ... fellow Diet Coke fans I mean this is amazing, cmon! The owner has been super reasonable and fair with past concerns, all of the RSOs are good guys and have fun with you. I came here to get my CCW Finally. Lol. My husband has had his for 5 years. I'm a procrastinator I guess. I had a bad night the night before, and barely slept. I thought for sure I'd sleep through class. George Heaven, our instructor was loud, entertaining, informational and just an amazing instructor. I learned so much in his class. If you're a gun owner, you should take one of his classes. As a woman, I didn't know much about guns and gun safety. I know a lot more now and plan on taking some more classes at GV Range. Especially the night shooting class, since most incidents happen at night. I also love their range for shooting. They provide all equipment to shoot and even rent hand guns and machine guns. I just recently took the CCW class with John Bebirian and was impressed. John was highly knowledgeable and you can clearly tell he's been doing this for a long time. Any questions that would be asked in class was explained in a way you to help you learn. Even though I am a veteran I still had questions about the laws in Nevada which were answered in detail and where the law is stated (referencing NRS). I've asked around about the best place to take your CCW class and I continued to find that Green Valley Range was the way to go. Just finished taking a CCW class, Just 5 minutes of shooting and John Bebirian was able to fix my wife's stance and grip, and tell her points to work on, and immediately she is shooting significantly better. He gave her good advice on what she is doing wrong and where she needs to focus her attention on to improve. This was during a 5 minute shooting session to qualify! So first I will start with range time and experience. Standard range except for the fact that you don't have to pay for targets, which is a plus. If you do have to wait for a lane to clear before you are able to get on they have soda and popcorn in the lounge area. Never rented so I can't speak to that side of the range but they seem great and knowledgeable about their guns. Now they offer a CCW class which I took over this weekend and it is taught by John. He was very knowledgeable and gave a lot of information about gun safety and concealed carry laws. Things you may or may not know however the class is mandatory for a permit and John makes it very interesting and funny. All and all I would recommend it if you are looking for a CCW class that is in the Clark county area. read more

I found that John who was teaching the CCW Permit Class was very good at explaining everything you need to know in a very understandable way. I am a complete novice and did not grow up in a family that supported gun use. I wanted to find a club/range where I would feel comfortable that I was getting the best training and a place I would want to come often too. GVR fit that for me. The instructors and ROs are first rate. They never made me feel dumb, they always made sure I understood what I was being taught or the answers to my questions where understood. My first touch was with Jessica, a wonderful instructor with a soft patient touch. She calmly, step by step explained everything a first timer needs to shoot. When I asked about the membership levels, she took the time to explain everything to me. She showed me a way to try the top membership while giving me sometime evaluate the club. (I am now in my 3 week, I go almost every day to practice). Jess is my go to when I want to try a new weapon, she always has time to spend 10 or 15 minutes with me to make sure I am safe and understand what is in my hands. My experience with the Instructors has been great! I was a bit intimidated by the credentials of our instructors. John Nagy and John Bebirian are incredible instructors with lifetimes of experience to share with members. Being a novice I have been leaning on John B for advice on weapon selection and I took an hour lesson to learn grip and stance and targeting. It turned my shooting from okay to keyhole. I am much more confident that I can be consistent practicing the techniques I learned from just one lesson. I plan to take at least one lesson a month to enhance my training. Lesson's are so reasonably priced you have no excuses not to sign up. I also took my CCW with John B. I learned more about safety and law. this is essential to anyone interested in owning a firearm. I am glad I started with this lesson first. I am now practicing so I can start my NRA training classes with John Nagy, our main Tactical trainer. I have to say that I am really excited to get started on that training. Only waiting for my first practice pistol to arrive so I can sign up for my classes. The club membership is a great value. Jerry, Issac and Chris the owner's and top managers are incredibly generous to all members. If they can accommodate you, they will. There is no nickel or dime at this range. Only full value for your dollar. I would like to give a shout out to the RO's. From Mondo, the personality of the club house to each and every RO I have had the pleasure to interact with, there is no question too easy or too hard for them to take the time to explain to you until you understand. They are patient, knowledgeable and awesome people, that make me feel safe when I am at the range. OK. Genuine review. I had always been not to sure about Green Valley Range. Always thought it was a bit of a gun bunny place for the casual or thrill seeking shooter,. I had always thought the public range was a bit stuffy and noisy for my tastes (no fault of the hard working range people or the owner, who has invested his life in the range). The range lobby/shop was always one of the best aspects. Comfortable, clean and with friendly staff. The owner is also a lovely, genuine guy. Today I gave the range another go again due to a need to re-qualify for the PILB. The staff were great and friendly. When there was an issue with a shooter on the range, the RSO's handled it quickly and professionally. As a qualified NRA Instructor and RSO, I was impressed with the safety. When John took me into the Club area to use the range to re-qualify, I was impressed by the range, the facilities and especially John. In short, we are now considering joining the club, and I highly recommend John to any PILB armed card carrier. John was highly experienced, a great teacher, offered hints to improve accuracy, friendly and highly knowledgeable. Nothing against the range its self either he has to be trained on how to talk to people or just fired all together. Not to mention other shooters were grouping together.behind other shooters.
