Our HOA Board used Yelp to identify general contractors to bid for the repair work. We had five contractors come out and submit proposals. When we had our initial meeting with JS Vision, the Board was impressed with our interaction with their representative Amir. It was clear he had a real understanding of the problem before we met, and provided a clear outline of the steps and process needed to fix our issue. He also provided the quote in a timely manner, whereas some of the other contractors took weeks to provide their proposal. This time we focused on our daughter's room, which was just a room. Once again, Nathan came up with an incredible design which made her room into an elegant, hotel like, bedroom suite! French doors to our backyard with an amazing brick step down, double, walk-in closets and a to die for whimsical bathroom. Demolition, pouring of new extended foundation and framing started promptly on July 5th. Within a week and two days, the framing was done! Incredible! We love Andy's framing due to the devoted workers he sends. Plumbing, electrical and HVAC came next. Nathan spent personal time with us picking out plumbing fixtures, tile and flooring. What a Godsend he is. Mike was over practically every day checking on the details. The cabinetry whiz, Yone, specially designed our daughter's desk, bookshelf and bathroom cabinets and even added a special hair dryer plug inside one drawer! Pristine Construction worked on our project as if it was their own home. Never did we experience one headache, which in this day and time is rare! The incredible patience of Nathan and the detail-orientated kindness of Mike was much appreciated. Emma at the office gave us daily updates on scheduling in such a professional and sweet way. Our daughter was very much a part of the design of her room and she was speechless when it was finished. Leave it to say, she is the envy of all of her friends! There is only one more small area of our house that needs to be redone. You can know for sure that it will be PRISTINE CONSTRUCTION!

We engaged Green American Builders to carry out some basic work in June 2025 that they estimated…read morewould take around seven to ten days. It ended up taking several weeks including a second attempt at the work due to poor work and other issues. The company was engaged to plaster, paint and do basic repair work in a laundry area and to paint (woodwork, walls and ceilings) in a hallway, two bathrooms and two bedrooms. The quote was $8,650. Basic work such as covering surfaces started on the laundry area and the hallway ahead of the July 4th weekend. The team then took and a new team arrived Monday - that was when things started to go off the rails. Among the issues were the addition of an item not included in the original quote due to a misunderstanding and the wrong paint being used which led to increased costs of $1,600. They then started work in multiple rooms at the same time which left us with several rooms out of action. Around the midweek mark we also started to notice quality slipping, more mistakes being made, and more misunderstandings about what needed to be done e.g. marble being painted over, closet interiors that were not on the brief were being painted etc. and new faces continued to appear but didn't seem to have been briefed on the job. By the end of the second week issues continued so we stopped the work entirely. One of the owners came in to see the job for themselves and admitted it wasn't up to standard and asked for the crew to be allowed back in correct the issues. We agreed. After that second attempt at the job, we told them that we wanted to have a few days to sit with what had been done and inspect it thoroughly. In order to release the crew, we were asked to sign a document saying that were "100% satisfied" with the work. However, after inspection, it quickly became clear again the work was not up to standard - this included paint peeling off woodwork as water-based paint had been applied over oil-based paint without sufficient prep. Also, the ceiling in the laundry area remained unpainted, so we reached out again to raise the issues. This was met with hostility from the same owner who had originally come out to inspect the work. The company's other owner than reached out, apologized for that experience, and came out to inspect the work. They agreed it was not to the acceptable standard. They offered for the team to either come out a third time to correct the issues or a nominal partial refund ($2,800). We declined the offer to have the team do a third attempt at the work and began the process of negotiating what we considered to be a fair refund that would partially cover the cost of having the work redone. After months, we were offered a refund ($3,900) but with conditions attached including not writing a review. When the offer was eventually increased ($5,000), it was requested that the payment be made in installments (five equal installments of $1,000, disbursed every two weeks) "due to the financial impact on the company" and then as the company was "restructuring" I was asked to "provide a written statement" describing the previous incident, specifically outlining how we were "threatened and disrespected" by the other owner. Not wanting to be bound by those conditions, we refused. What should have been a simple job became a world of drama, back and forth, and, a year later, we are having to engage a new company to rectify and redo the work done by Green American Builders.

At the time, we had already received two quotes for a full master bathroom renovation. The first quote came from a reputable firm, and while their service seemed solid, their vision for the project didn't align with ours. They were focused on chrome fixtures and vinyl materials, whereas my wife and I wanted a more upscale design featuring brass finishes and marble. The second quote was much cheaper, but it was clear that corners would be cut and problems would likely arise. We weren't interested in dealing with those kinds of headaches. We decided to give G&M a call and at least have a conversation. I spoke with Joe, the owner, who came across as knowledgeable, professional, and straightforward. He arranged for Jonah, the project manager, to meet with us, and we were immediately impressed by his positive attitude and "can-do" approach. From the start, it felt like he and his company were the right fit for our project. We were able to agree on a very competitive price, and the design plan the team developed exceeded our expectations. Throughout the renovation, the crew--Danny, Philipe, Edan, and the rest of the team--were punctual, hardworking, respectful, and genuinely pleasant to have in our home. Jonah was outstanding from start to finish. He solved problems, answered every question, and consistently went the extra mile to make sure everything was done right. Now that the project is complete, we absolutely love our new bathroom. Looking back, we know we would not be nearly as happy or satisfied had we chosen either of the other contractors. Jonah and his team truly deliver five-star service, and now we understand exactly why G&M has earned such an incredible reputation. The next time we have a home improvement project, we know exactly who we'll be calling.
