I have been going to Green Point Acupuncture for many years. They provide the best community acupuncture I have experienced anywhere. Whether to address a specific concern or to stay balanced and healthy, I always leave finding relief and a sense of well-being. The acupuncturists are skilled and wonderfully knowledgeable and kind. I look forward to my visits knowing I will leave feeling more like my true self. read more

Very gentle and attentive. Does not tax or strain the body, rather works with the body to ensure best results. Had a very painful acupuncture treatment in LA this was godsend by comparison. read more

Highly recommend their community acupuncture. They are both very talented acupuncturists and provided excellent care for chronic lower back pain. Their office is very peaceful and easy to find parking nearby. Five stars! read more

I forgot if it was a Groupon deal or LivingSocial deal that initially led me to Green Point. It doesn't matter though.... This past year, I suffered a shoulder strain/pain that couldn't be explained. I tried everything under the sun and followed the RICE method: Rest: Took off from the Pro Tour circuit for 4 months to let the injury heal Ice: Iced up the affected area at least once a day for a month. Compression: Wrapped up the area and even went to months of physical therapy and dedicated exercises. Elevation: Not as applicable but I did partake in extra massage sessions with focused effort on my shoulder region. Got xrays and doctor wasn't very helpful in determining the issue. I became frustrated and soon took a trip to Houston to get the initial acupuncture treatment and alternative medicine advice. Upon my return, I followed this up with visits to Dr. Wu for a couple of months. I am happy to report that these series of treatments worked and couldn't be happier. The best part of Green Point is the value. It's affordable and the clinic is kept sanitiary, plus you can do multiple sessions without going broke. I definitely recommend to anyone needing acupuncture. By the way, there are two options. There is a community room where treatment is administered at a lower cost and there are more expensive sessions if privacy is required. Either way, you're well taken care of. read more

Remember that snow storm we recently had? Yep, I experienced a nasty fall on wicked black ice. ....This Southern Californian gal was not prepared for this type of weather! From February 13th until current, I was experiencing back and wrist pain due to my traumatic injury even with chiropractic care. My decision to search for the right acupuncturist was a tough one. Reading several testimonials in the Greater Seattle area, I landed on Green Point. It is now April 2021, after my first session with Dr. Wu I have more movement and less pain with my wrist/ hand. Dr. Wu is very gentle, thorough and wants to make sure you are comfortable from beginning to end. I look forward to making the trip to Queen Anne for a second visit. Thank you for your practice. :) read more

This is a very late review. I have nothing but great things to say about this place. I was here about 4 years ago during my IVF treatment. Dr wang was so great, she worked with my treatment plan and recommended which days to come and what to do. I had really bad headaches from my ivf treatment, Dr wang help me manage my symptoms and got me through my ivf. I highly recommend getting acupuncture done here if you are going through fertility treatment. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Wang for community acupuncture support during the fertility process of egg freezing and have been so grateful for her profound expertise, insight, wisdom, guidance and support during this time. She is incredibly attentive and mindful throughout each session and always checks in about any changes I've experienced and asks about everything related to my body and mind to tailor the session as needed. It's been such a gift to work with her and benefit from her care. Highly recommend. Thank you, Dr. Wang! read more

Dr. Wang is a great acupuncturist! Like another reviewer, I wish she could be my GP. I have no fear of needles, but if you're someone that is more shy, Dr. Wang is very gentle in application and always checks in if you're comfortable. So if you're new to this practice, Dr. Wang is a great person to see. read more

Dr. Wang is the best acupuncturist I have ever had. I immediately felt welcome in her office and she always took the time to make sure she understood what was going on with me and what I wanted to work on that day. She uses various techniques such as needling, cupping, and electrical stimulation (if you wanted to). I saw Dr Wang for women's health issues and I experienced incredible results that couldn't be fixed by Western doctors. Scheduling is also easy and if you plan more than a few days in advance there are usually plenty of openings. They also accept insurance and have community acupuncture with a sliding scale price for more affordable options and you can pay by credit card. They are also available by email if you have questions and return messages promptly. The office is located in upper Queen Anne so there is free street parking. The treatment room was always quiet and I always felt comfortable and relaxed when I was there. I found Dr Wang's English to be exceptional. Unfortunately, I moved away from Seattle so I'm not able to go anymore but whenever I'm back in town I always make sure to schedule an appointment with Dr Wang. I cannot recommend her and her husband enough. read more

Hands down or up or sideways however you want to call it, the BEST acupuncture experience I've had. The community acupuncture is still so darn relaxing and I love so much that she adjusts the needles to various depths for a more effective treatment. LOVE Dr. Wu. The sliding scale is absolutely perfect for my budget as it allows me to come twice a week. I sleep hard now, like a baby passed out in a car seat since coming for her treatments and some Anxiety I had been struggling with is seeing improvements. Absolutely the best experience. I tell everyone I can about this business. read more

I needed a treatment the same day for my back pain. They had more availability than most other clinics and were able to get me in. Dr. Wu was very thorough and paid close attention to my needs. My symptoms are virtually gone today and I was able to go for a long walk. I'm grateful. Thank you and I will definitely return. read more

I've always dreamed of trying acupuncture. Honestly, I have never been afraid of acupuncture or anything, but I am a humble western American child to the core so it has always been more convenient for me to pop a pill or go see a doctor than attempt alternatives. I scheduled a Wednesday morning group session with Dr. Wang having no real concept of what acupuncture was besides what I saw on TV or just randomly in my life. The acupuncture appointment couldn't have come at a better time. The night prior, I spent the entire night writing in lower back pain. It was GOD AWFUL. I have never endured such pain trying to sleep with no idea why I was in such pain. Anyways, I was a huge grouch in the morning when I woke up and my appointment was at 9am. I was supposed to get there at 8:45am to do some paperwork for the first time, which I did successfully. It's pretty routine. It's all "where does it hurt? what illnesses do you or everyone who shares your genetic makeup have?" I was able to walk to their location because I live a couple blocks away... But something to keep in mind when you are driving here is AMPLE FREE PARKING. There is more than enough free parking for you and your family to come enjoy Queen Anne Avenue while you're getting your acupuncture appointment. It's in this quaint little building on the second floor, and when I opened the door to the office, Dr. Wang was sitting at the front desk and said "you must be Sean." She is very warm and welcoming. Ten minutes later we discussed the paperwork I filled out, and she carefully reviewed everything with me and had me sign all the paperwork. She told me she would be doing acupuncture in my shoulders/neck area and my lower back. She then said I would sit there for 30 minutes with a heat lamp on my back, and once we were done with that, then I would undergo glass cupping, which I still don't know what it was exactly but it was good for my lower back. I was down for anything haha. Once I was actually in the room, I saw there were 5 beds comfortably apart from each other. I didn't mind it at all. What surprised me, however, was I was the only person in this group session!!! So it was like a party just for me! My blood was pumping because I was so excited to try acupuncture at this point! And then she stuck in the needles and I didn't even feel them. It wasn't a big deal at all. Getting a shot is WAY WORSE. Man thirty minutes is a long time to just still with your face in the massage-chair-style-face-holder. But I did it. Proudly! Because I did feel better. I'll get more comfortable with it as I go, I know, but I was happy with this treatment of needles. I thought it would work for me, and it did. While I was being punctured, a woman came into the office and Dr. Wang was talking to her. She said she was just around children diagnosed with strep throat and needed acupuncture to boost her immunity. I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT COULD HAPPEN?! Dr. Wang sat her down and away she went while I simmered in my corner. The glass cups were fun! It was very loud suction sounds. On my back. I was pretty happy with it. It felt like it pulled my skin super tight underneath the glass suction. Whatever it did, it felt good. Dr. Wang sat down with me at the end of the session to discuss it. I said it was fun and I liked it and I'll be back. She said, without a doubt, my back pain would be gone and my shoulder tension should be good for a week or so until I'd need another treatment for my neck/shoulders. My back pain is gone. I feel relief in my shoulders. So I'm happy! The fact that Dr. Wang's office is very clean, paired with the fact that she is really inexpensive ($15-40 pay as much as you can which is awesome!) and the cute Chinese music she has playing is super peaceful while you're relaxing, I'll definitely return again and again, and recommend Dr. Wang. I don't know if I'll go weekly, but I could foresee a bi-weekly situation being set up. OH ALSO, I LEARNED SHE DOES WALK INS. Which is nice. I think it has to be during the group session times, and if there's room, but that doesn't seem to be much of an issue. read more

To anyone struggling with back pain, headaches, fibromyalgia, or other chronic pain - go see Dr. Wang! She is a truly spectacular doctor. When I came to see Dr. Wang for the first time, I was in so much pain. I had seen many doctors who blindly put me on dangerous pharmaceutical drugs like Prednisone which hurt more than they helped. I began to explore non-Western treatment options, including acupuncture with Dr. Wang. Now, only one month later after starting treatment with her, I have so much more hope! Her acupuncture and cupping has greatly reduced my pain, and I was able to go off my medications! I couldn't be happier. For those curious about treatment - Dr. Wang targets the spots that hurt you most, expertly placing and twisting the needles so that the entire procedure is as comfortable as it can be. You then relax on one of the cozy beds, sometimes with a heated lamp over your sore muscles, for 20 minutes or so. Soft music lulls some people to sleep. Cupping follows if she decides you need it, and is finished in about 10 minutes. Cupping feels incredible on the knots and tension in my back - and its relaxing effects are better than a massage. Make sure to give yourself a full hour for your first treatment, and don't shy away from the community acupuncture (only $20-40 per treatment - amazing!) This goes further to show that Dr. Wang genuinely cares about her patients' welfare. She is one of the most gracious, kind, skilled, healing individuals I have ever met, and I am so grateful to have discovered her practice. read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Wang. She is so patient, kind, sincere and caring. She genuinely has the well-being of her patients in mind and makes every effort to ensure you are comfortable. If anything is bothering you, she encourages you to let her know. Her office is very clean and comfortable and I've noticed that she always makes it a point to sanitize her hands before handling any needles (which are disposable by the way which is great). As someone who is OCD about cleanliness/hygeine and paranoid from horror stories of other people getting diseases from dirty needles, this was a huge plus for me. Also, her technique is wonderful - not surprising considering she graduated from Beijing University (pretty much the top school in China). So you should have comfort in knowing you are in the hands of an expert. One thing cool too is that she has community acupuncture sessions which helps bring down the session costs. She also offers a sliding scale which allows people to pay what they can afford which is really nice. All in all, I am so glad to find Dr. Wang through Yelp and would encourage anyone who is in the market for some acupuncture to go through her. I felt compelled to write this review because she really is great - both professionally and personally - so if it helps even get 1 more person to see her, it will all be worth it. read more

Have to give a shout out to Dr. Wang. She's a kind, skilled, and caring professional who offers a great service to the community. Group acupuncture, what a concept! She charges a tiny sliding scale fee; I feel badly not paying her more for such wonderful results. Hormonal issues, back pain, and middle-aged aches have faded away in a dusky shade of bliss. I will say that if you choose the group acupuncture, and you've never had acupuncture before, you may want to go for a one-on-one treatment from her first, especially if you like to ask a lot of questions and need one-on-one nonstop TLC. I'm such a supporter of acupuncture for our myriad of social, physical and mental afflictions, she's really opened my eyes. And she offers an affordable way for people to receive the treatment they need. The world would be a better place if everyone visited Dr. Wang once a week. Also: the place is clean as a whistle, no worries there. Thanks Dr. Wang! read more

I was turned onto Green Point Acupuncture through Groupon late last year. There was some sort of deal where you could attend 2 sessions for a screamin' deal, which was perfect for someone who had considered acupuncture but never experienced it. Needless to say, after the first session I was hooked. Dr. Wang is INCREDIBLE. I absolutely adore her; she is possibly one of the nicest people you'll ever encounter, and has a genuine compassion for her patients. She's got some magick hands, to be sure. She seems to know just what to do to relieve any ailments I may come in with (which can vary from severe back pain, to a need for all over balance of the mind and body, to help with sleeping better at night), and always has a smile on her face, which puts me completely at ease. The set up of the office is very progressive. There are 5/6 beds available for community acupuncture sessions, very tranquil music playing, which aids in the relaxation I'm desperately searching for whenever I visit, and is always very clean and comfortable. The majority of the community sessions I've been too have been great; there is definitely a sense of respect among patients, coming and going, and I have never once heard a cell phone go off accidentally or heard anyone let the door slam on the way in or out. While there may be the chance of one patient overhearing the ailments of another, I find if you concentrate on why you're there in the first place, you hardly notice the very quiet conversation going on between patient and doctor on the table across the room from you. With that being said, I do encourage people to check with their insurance providers about coverage for private sessions. That is an experience that cannot be adequately surmised in a Yelp review. Every time I leave a private session I feel on top of the world and completely rejuvenated. The sliding price scale is phenomenal. I really enjoy the idea of paying for what you can afford, and with the private sessions through my insurance, that price happen to fit comfortably within my budget. I highly recommend Green Point to anyone and everyone interested in trying acupuncture or continuing with treatment, and especially recommend that you try a session with Dr. Wang. :) read more

I was seeking acupuncture for relief from side effects related to chemotherapy and poor digestion along with random aches and pains. Groupon brought me to Green Point and I think the whole concept is brilliant. One reviewer said they were not informed about the group atmosphere. I have to say, no one should ever go to a medical practitioner without checking out their services. In this case the website for Green Point explains fully that this is going to be taking place in an open room with other people present having treatment. The website also explains that private appointments are available. The atmosphere is very peaceful, appointments are easily booked on-line and the doctors are very gentle, professional and caring. I have had two appointments, one with each doctor and I had a great experience with both. Both doctors spent time with me before treatment to speak with me about my needs and how I was feeling. I am continuing past my Groupon. I hope anyone considering acupuncture treatment will try Green Point Acupuncture. read more

I have found acupuncture treatments at Green Point Acupuncture to be so valuable in maintaining my health, relieving everyday anxieties, and healing from injuries. I live very close to Green Point Acupuncture. LUCKY ME! I am struggling with sciatic nerve compression and low back issues from running and cycling and wanted to see if acupuncture could help in conjunction with PT and rehab. From the moment I walked into the office and met her, I adored Dr. Wang. As others have written she is one of the nicest people you'll ever encounter, and has a genuine compassion for her patients and a wonderful, healing, nurturing energy. I have only been there during the community acupuncture sessions. The treatment room has 5/6 beds available, very tranquil music playing, which aids in the relaxation of each patient who she attends to as if they were the only one there. There is definitely a sense of respect among patients, coming and going. After a 30 minute session with many needles expertly placed on various spots on my back and legs, I have 10 minutes of moxibustion cupping which acts like a reverse massage. I have left each treatment feeling better, partially because of the treatment and also because of just being around Dr. Wang. I highly recommend Green Point Acupuncture to anyone and everyone interested in trying acupuncture or continuing with treatment, and especially recommend that you try a session with Dr. Wang. And if you are on a budget, check out the community acupuncture where you pay a sliding scale of $20-$40 per treatment (except for the first time where there is an additional $10 paperwork fee) 5 stars!! read more

Lovely place. Super clean and calming environment. My mom had an appointment with Dr. Guoji Wu for her severe sciatica and it didn't help her pain much, but I'll be damned if he didn't try his very best. He kept checking in with her and tried various methods but I was already told by another place that acupuncture may not help her because hers is in a more severe stage already. He was very warm and welcoming and had a genuine smile on his face, but was still honest with us. This couple is doing good work for a more than reasonable price (my mom signed up for the community acupuncture). If we, or anyone we knows, ever needs acupuncture for other reasons, we will definitely refer them to these guys. I'm glad we were at least able to try it to see if it could help her--paying $100 elsewhere to try it out would have been very disappointing. read more

I cannot recommend this place enough. My insurance company does not cover acupuncture and I really could not afford the $100+ other facilities charge. A co-worker recommended them to me so I gave them a try and have been going weekly for the last 3 - 4 months. I think Dr Wang is so much more in tune with me than the other acupuncturist I met with before finding her . The reason I am getting acupuncture is for recurrent pregnancy loss (4 miscarriages and 1 failed ivf cycle) and the emotional issues that go along with it. I am just about to go through my 2nd IVF cycle and my antral follicle count is up over 50% compared to my last cycle which is amazing for my age (37). I am very healthy in general but the only thing I have been doing different is acupuncture so I have to attribute a lot of the increase to acupuncture. Now I am just hoping for good egg quality because of my history. I will update my post in a few weeks once I know the outcome. So here is the update: I got 3 more eggs retrieved compared to my last IVF Cycle, 7 more fertilized. Since we have a history of recurrent pregnancy loss we opted to get PGD which tests the chromosomes of each embryo. My last cycle there were no normal embryos. This cycle there are 3 which is a lot for someone with my history. My medical doctor is pretty much in disbelief on the improvement compared to my last cycle. We transferred two embryos and just found out that we are pregnant. Everything is going perfect so far. I hope this gives you proof that acupuncture can increase your fertility and egg quality. read more

What a marvelous way of doing business. 6 tables in one room which keeps the service affordable. The room is quiet and calm. Clients are dressed and lie on a comfortable bed. I went in to Green Point for my first Acupuncture appointment using a Groupon. I sat with the women for a total of 3 minutes before she brought me back into an open space with 5 other beds, two of them with other people lying in them. Each person was having acupuncture done. I am extremely scared of needles and knew what I was getting myself into HOWEVER I was not informed that I would be in an open space seeing needles in other people. Acupuncture is supposed to be relaxing and done ALONE. When i asked if I could come back because I was so worked up about the situation she told me that being there for a total of THREE minutes and having NOTHING done counted as a session. If you are going to try and cram five people in an open room and perform acupuncture on all of them at the same time you need to inform your clients beforehand! ***I also heard another client complaining that she was extremely uncomfortable in the position she was placed in for the session and in pain. She ended up leaving early as well.*** read more

I have just returned from my first-time ever acupuncture appointment. I have a disorder with a dangerously accelerated metabolism and have received many recommendations for acupuncture, but as I am low income it seemed impossible. I really appreciated her interest in my primary care and desire to support my healing through multiple approaches.
