Be very careful when relying on insurance cost estimates provided by this clinic. I sought clarification regarding my expected costs before scheduling additional treatment and made my decisions based on the information communicated to me. I later received unexpected bills totaling $120. What disappointed me most was not the amount itself, but the response afterward. The clinic acknowledged that "false expectations" had been created, yet maintained that nobody had done anything wrong and that the entire financial responsibility remained mine. Future patients should obtain written confirmation of all expected out-of-pocket costs before proceeding with treatment. read more

I visited Jill Turner today for the first time at Seattle Healing Acupuncture. It's not often I have a strong positive experience with a care provider right off the bat, but Jill was truly wonderful. She had reviewed my intake form thoroughly, asked thoughtful questions and listened carefully as she took notes for my initial visit with a complaint of plantar fasciitis. She had so much to offer, the most important of which was HOPE! I'm looking forward to working with her and recommend her highly. read more

If I could, I would give Jackie Close 10 stars. In fact, I give her an infinite number of stars! She is a Healer. I knew it, I felt it, the minute I first met her in person. She has a lovely clinic, with the delightful Claire at the front desk. And they bill my health insurance! A lucky bonus. Now I am one of Jackie's Qigong students. Qigong is a great adjunct to acupuncture. The lucky bonus of Qigong classes is getting to meet the amazing human beings that Jackie attracts into her circle. I am honored to be one of them! read more

This team is incredible, they are my go to for all of my health needs. Only acupuncture keeps me balanced, healthy and sane. My 3 year old had a traumatic birth and has always had digestive issues. My daughter responded like a dream to her first treatment with Johnathan, and I saw physical improvement in the appearance of her tummy that day. 5 years with this practice and I still tell everyone about Seattle Healing Acupuncture & Cooper Love them! read more

About 8 months ago I came down with a severe case of tinnitus (ringing in the ear), which made it almost impossible to sleep. After months of unsuccessfully trying a variety of things, it was my good fortune to think of asking Jackie (who had helped me years before with back pain) if acupuncture might help. Thank God!! After a few sessions the ringing subsided and I was able to get some desperately needed rest. Thank you Jackie Close!! read more

I was an Insomniac and now I sleep like a baby! I started getting acupuncture from Jackie back in Feb 2009 for my insomnia of over 8 years. I have tried all the western medicines from sleep class to lunestra and to ambien. They helped at first and then it did not work anymore. Ambien only helped for 3 hours and then I was wide awake the rest of the night/morning. 14 months later, I can fall asleeo and I stay asleep. Jackie's approach is hollistic and she truly understands how my body and mind works. If you have been curious about acupuncture, Jackie is a trusted and a great provider. October 8,2010 I wanted to update my review by saying that acupuncture has recently helped me with my Gerd issues. Gerd is the medical term for what people call acid reflux or heart burn. I was on Omerprazoe since 2006. I have not been taking Omerprazoe for about 6 months now and my Gerd issues are under control. I did not even have to change my diet! Acupuncture works and I am thankful for Jackie. She understands the intricacies of the mind, body and chi. read more

I was referred to Jackie by a friend and I am so glad I got the recommendation. I initially sought Jackie's care for digestive issues and the treatment was very helpful. I recently went back to Seattle Healing Acupuncture for migraine headaches and neck pain. I have tried every treatment known to man for these problems and Jackie's acupuncture treatments have been the most successful by far. She has also been really helpful in treating stress-related insomnia. I have always been a bit needle-phobic and in the past I have not been able to get myself to follow through with acupuncture but Jackie's approach is very gentle - she has a light touch and the treatments really work! I cannot recommend her care highly enough, especially for anyone who has wanted to try acupuncture for its benefits but is concerned about the whole being-poked-with-needles thing. read more

I have been seeing Jackie for acupuncture since 2011. I also began studying Qigong with her in 2016. My guess is that she is among the best acupuncturists around! I also love her sensitive little doggie, Cooper! He seems to be very dialed in to what is going on in the practice. read more

I have been a client of Jackie's for about 2 years now. I first came to her with wicked tendonitis in my thumb from carrying my baby. An orthopedic surgeon had given me a cortisone shot and was discussing the possibility of surgery - it was that bad! I wanted to try acupuncture as a last resort before going under the knife. Jackie's acupuncture treatments were amazing and I was able to avoid surgery! Jackie's approach to care is very holistic and her work is subtle, yet highly effective. The initial examination was very thorough. Not only did Jackie help with the pain in my hand, she was able to help me with sleep and digestive issues that I didn't even know could be addressed, all without requiring additional treatment sessions! I have since gone back to see Jackie for other issues which she has also been able to fix. She is my acupuncturist of choice in Seattle! read more

Not only is Dr. Close the best Acupuncturist Ive gone to, she is the nicest (that helps when you are in pain, know what Im saying?). I had recurring pain in my left elbow ever since I started playing hockey, and she found the pressure point, applied a needle there, and magically the pain disappeared. At first I was skeptical from my previous experiences with other acupuncturists that this relief was only temperorary, but only after 3 more sessions, Ive never had elbow pain again. Also, I only have a limited number of visits under my insurance, and Dr. Close is totally cool with that and doesnt force you to buy more visits, like Dr. Chen did. read more

For two years (or more) I have been treated by Jackie at Seattle Healing Acupuncture. It was my first experience and I'm not comfortable with needles. Not only has my sweating improved, the reason I originally sought out acupuncture but I continue treatment for stress and overall quality of life. The entire experience has been healthy and centering for me and Jackie has a gift. read more

Me and all my family have been seeing Jackie for over five years and we love her! She is an incredible practitioner and always has a calm, confident and kind demeanor. The best part about Jackie is that she is thoughtful, competent and skilled at addressing symptoms and relieving pain. She is also very knowledgeable around the holistic system of the body and can advise on all sorts of health issues. She has helped me relieve migraine headaches, seasonal colds, back pain and other various health issues. I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a stellar acupuncturist! read more

The very best acupuncture treatment in the Northwest, if you need a professional to treat you and really make you feel great and have life changing results, Jackie Close at Seattle Healing Acupuncture is the gal you need to meet. I have had acupuncture before and loved it, but its been a few years and realized I needed it for some ongoing issues......then I found Jackie. She is patient, kind, and very informative. She listens carefully and asks lots of questions to get to know you better. Her facilities are clean and simple-something I really love! I caution that parking is a bit of a headache in the area so plan for that timing wise. Jackie's light touch, warm presence, and overall kindness really makes this a joy. I've had two sessions and will be back for more. read more

I have been working with Seattle Healing Acupuncture for several years now and can honestly say that Jackie's talented care has brought me to a higher level of physical and emotional health. I have made major breakthroughs thanks to Jackie's dedication and skill. The facilities are peaceful, relaxing, and the atmosphere promotes healing. Jackie is thorough, attentive, compassionate, and highly skilled. She takes the time to listen to you and address all concerns. Great local company to do business with. Nice office, courteous staff and well run. Would defiantly recommend to others.

I gotta be honest - I went in here pretty skeptical as I had a bad experience with acupuncture previously - however that definitely out the window when I met Jackie Close. She's caring, kind and patient. I felt like she took the time to hear about all my concerns and then conscientiously addressed my issues during my sessions. She knew of my previous experience and really helped me feel at ease. I started to find my shoulder pain and low back pain was really easing and the relief was much needed. I enjoyed my time with her so much that I ended up referring my husband to Jackie as well! read more

I learned a lot about Chi and Qi Gong from Jacqueline! She is very friendly and compassionate making sure to really listen and understand her patients needs. Some of the best naps I have ever had have been at her practice :) read more

Jonathan Day is a magician. Two years after a spinal cord injury, I was still in constant pain and my hands were about 60% paralyzed. Nothing had worked - PT, drugs, Occupational Therapy, massage - but after one visit, I was able to get through the day without debilitating pain. I still see him regularly for tune-ups that have kept me well enough to continue working in a career I love. I'm grateful to have found someone so skilled. Literally saved my life. read more

Jackie is a great acupuncturist! She has a very calm, caring, and grounded manner and she really knows her stuff! I first started going to Seattle Healing Acupuncture earlier this year when I had a cough that lingered for weeks after getting over a cold. Jackie treated me with both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine (basically, ground up herbs that are in a powder and you mix with hot water and drink a few times a day)-- and the cough went away! I highly recommend her! read more

I was looking forward to my appointment here, but upon arrival was greeted by a small snarling dog who apparently has free run of the office. This should have been mentioned on the practice's website, to inform those with allergies or who simply don't find it relaxing to be barked at. The rating is not based on actual acupuncture, because we didn't get to that. I'm only posting it so prospective clients will be aware of the dog. read more

Seattle Healing Acupuncture is the BEST acupuncture experience I have EVER had, and I have been to many acupuncturists here in Seattle. Jackie takes the time to really listen to you and get to know you as a person, to better understand how she is going to help you... whether that means getting you out of physical pain, balancing your hormones, digestive issues or just resetting your nervous system to help you sleep better when you are stressed. Her office is very warm, welcoming and comfortable just like she is. She is wickedly knowledgeable about all aspects of chinese herbs / medicine and utilizes them in her treatments should you need them and believe me when I say that they work wonders. Jackie has a velvet touch when placing the acupuncture needles and I rarely ever feel them during my treatment. When my treatments are done I feel like my internal computer has been rebooted. I feel refreshed and energized. She is absolutely the gold standard of acupuncture care. read more

I was referred to Seattle Healing Acupuncture from my naturopath because of the type of acupuncture Jackie practices. My first visit with Jackie was life changing. I have suffered with RA for the past 17 months and have tried different methods of treatment and therapies to reduce the pain and inflammation throughout my body and none have provided me with as much relief from the RA as my treatments with Ms. Close. One of the more painful places the RA settled has been in my jaw making it difficult for me to chew food properly. After my second visit with Ms. Close I was able to chew food properly again, what a relief. I have noticed a shift in my health for the better since becoming a patient of Seattle Healing Acupuncture. read more

I went to see Jackie when I lived in Seattle. I literally could not walk more than one block without having to sit because the pain was so bad. As that problem healed, my achilles tendon started acting up. Just a few quick trips to Jackie and that felt much better too. In addition to being a great acupuncturist, Jackie is a genuinely nice and fun person to be around. Now that I've moved out-of-state, I *really* miss her! I would recommend her without reservation. read more

For as long as I can remember I've had bad seasonal allergies and have taken allergy medication. About a year and a half ago I saw a new allergy doctor who wanted to prescribe me even more medication, which is when I began my search for an alternative to all the chemicals. This is when I found Jackie and am so glad I went in for a consultation. In just under a year, my sinuses are clear and my allergies are minimal! Jackie's approach is very comprehensive and she takes the time to get to know you, your symptoms, and your medical history. She is an outstanding acupuncturist and I recommend Seattle Healing Acupuncture to anyone looking for an alternative to traditional medicine. read more

I was referred to Jackie by a coworker about six years ago when I used to get terrible sinus infections on a regular basis. The first time I saw Jackie, she was very thorough and went thru every aspect of my life to try and determine the core of the problem. Since then, I have come off of an antibiotic I took every day and have been able to cut back my other sinus meds as well. AND I have not had a sinus infection in over five years! Since I started seeing Jackie, she has treated me for several issues. I am diabetic and went through her cleanse program (highly recommended). Since then, I make her protein shakes every morning, which I think have helped keep my blood sugars at a lower level. I seem to be accident prone and she has treated me for an injured rotator cuff, neck issues and the latest was a torn ACL, MCL and Meniscus and a fractured Fibular. She has done it all for me. I look forward to my visits and she always makes me laugh when she asks "what is new"...translated...what have you done now!! I take several of Jackie's Chinese Herbs, but cannot seem to stomach the powder formula so take the caplets. I have also switched over from my "natural" synthetic supplements to her Whole Food supplements, which have helped me tremendously in so many ways. I swear by acupuncture. I have recommended Jackie to several people and would highly recommend her to you as well. Not only is Jackie a fantastic acupuncturist, she is also a great friend. SHE IS THE BEST!!!! ~ J.
