A technician came out for a raccoon removal inspection, quoted $850 for the full job -- then the owner conveniently decided the removal was "too unsafe" to actually perform. Suddenly the price dropped to $700 just to install a one-way door. Let that sink in: nearly the same price, a fraction of the work, and a built-in excuse to avoid doing what they were hired for. This is textbook bait-and-switch. The owner had zero intention of completing the job and used vague "safety concerns" as a shield to pocket the inspection fee while doing as little as possible. Completely shameless. The technician himself was fine -- this is entirely on the owner, who was condescending, dismissive, and utterly unbothered by ripping off a customer in broad daylight. I would not trust this company with a single dollar. Their pricing is a scam, their ethics are nonexistent, and their owner clearly views customers as targets rather than people to serve. Do yourself a favor and call literally anyone else.

Sounds like a flying squirrel likely entered my house (outside wall) through a broken vent. Both Joe G. and Zachary S. were great- friendly, yet knowledgeable, professional and happy to answer all of my questions. They set up a one-way door, so the squirrel(s) can leave, but cannot return. :) Rescue 1 is scheduled to come back in one month to remove the "door" and seal the opening in the vent. Although the job isn't finished quite yet, I've had a great experience with Rescue 1 so far. For reference, $800. included the assessment, plus two trips to the house to start and finish the job- very reasonable to me. I highly recommend Rescue 1.

When said Technician called me today asking "Why I didn't want him to come" I was a little taken back. He became confrontational and I asked him to cancel my appointment. Somehow, later on, I received a call from Tom another technician who usually does commercial treatments. He said he was scheduled to come and do the treatment. At this point, I was frustrated; however, after meeting Tom and speaking with him and explaining what my issues were that I live in the woods, he went right to work checking traps and getting rid of vermin that were in said traps. This gentleman was such a professional, explaining what he was doing and why he was doing it. He even took care of a hornet's nest that was in my front tree. He was a perfect gentleman and completed his rounds and sprayed and was just a pleasure to work with. I don't ever want the first technician to ever come to my home, and I am still waiting to speak to a supervisor about the manner in which he spoke to me. I would highly recommend Tom to any service call.
