We…read morehappened to arrive right when they opened at 11am, and we were able to select from their brunch or lunch menu. Hubby and I both ordered from their lunch menu. I had my eye on the PB&J burger that I had seen on Yelp, as peanut butter is my favorite thing ever! This burger did not disappoint. While the combo sounds strange, the flavors were well-balanced with the brie cheese, caramelized onions and bacon. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium and the hamburger bun was soft. I chose the kettle chips for my side, and they tasted house made. Very delicious! The only thing I didn't like about this burger was the price tag = $22. Hubby had the seafood chowder for $17 and it was enough for a full meal. He said the chowder was very flavorful and full of seafood. He was in heaven! We both ordered a Quidi Vidi 1892 amber ale on draft. They only had 7 beers on tap and I wished that they had a medium or dark beer, but this area doesn't seem to be big on that. They do have Guinness in a can, if that's your thing. Service was friendly and the food came out relatively fast. The booths were comfy and the pub reminded me of a cozy neighborhood bar. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area!

Our server Jacob was kind and helpful and the best part was, seemed to really enjoy his job. He took extra care to explain all meals to us and to make sure we would enjoy our selection. The menu is 80% vegan and yet it's nothing like a boring quinoa and kale bowl! We had the fried artichokes on almond purée with pickled celery and they reminded us of fish and chips. Also tried the home-baked flat bread - perfect! - the vegan and gluten-free puttanesca pasta and the Brussels sprouts. Highly recommend EVOO to anyone who is looking for a hearty Italian meal, especially (but not only!) if you prefer vegan and gluten-free food.

I had walked by numerous times and found it odd but respectable that it was always closed during the day and only opened at 5pm. When I went to enjoy a supper with my parents one holiday evening, the interior was decorated nicely and had really kind service. I ordered the Pork Milanese ($28) which was a battered pork loin with creamy gnocchi noodles and mushrooms on the side. The dish was incredibly filling, but it did keep me wanting to continue picking at each noodle after I was already full. The pork had a lemon on this side to give it some extra zest. My dish was good, but my mom ordered the Chicken Parmesan which honestly looked and tasted better than mine. I also attached a picture of it as well. This place didn't have too many entrees to choose from but the chicken was great, and the pork was good. They have many pizza options, but I am not the biggest fan of fancy pizza so I personally would not come here for that selection. From what I ate though, I'd give this place a solid four for a kind atmosphere and filling meal.

It came to $35! I thought it was a mistake but it wasn't. So I thought, oh well, we love pad thai so at least it will have been worth it. Boy was I wrong! The sauce didn't taste like pad thai. It was not spicy at all. The noodles seemed overcooked. And when we got to the middle of the little take-out containers, the noodles were barely seasoned at all, there were no veggies, sauce or meat. Just plain noodles. It's as though the noodles were added to the containers and then they poured a bit of sauce over them, instead of cooking it all up together like is usually done with pad thai. We ended up throwing out about half of each container. A very expensive and very bland meal! Won't return! I should add that the service was fine, no issues at all. The inside of the restaurant, however, looks run down and smells very strongly of cleaning products. I would not have felt comfortable sitting there to eat.

We decided to have a meal between lunch and dinnertime. The…read moreservice was excellent. We started with a salad called Barbabietola Artostita, splitting it for both of us. It was excellent. We also ordered an Antipasta called Arancini. That was different than anything we have had either in the USA or in or several trips to Italy. It was interesting but it lacked seasoning. When we tried to order a pasta dish, we were informed that no pasta dishes may be ordered before 5:00pm. So we ordered a Marinara pizza to which we added zucchini. I have eaten in Naples at several restaurants so I was able to tell that this crust was made in the Naples style; very thin and made in a very hot oven. The Marinara sauce however was not just salty; it was extremely salty almost to the point of not edible. That affected both of our digestion afterwards. For dessert we had a Tiramisu. Instead of being a piece cut out of a large rectangular baking dish for a cake, it came baked in a tiny glass jar. It was OK but it was not really a real tiramisu and the portion was quite small. Since we did not have access to anything off of the dinner menu, we cannot comment on those dishes.
