Reverend Tom is such a genuine, loving person and truly made the whole experience so meaningful.

Rev Tom gave us clear instructions/guidance. Rev. Denise was the easiest, no-fuss wedding vendor we dealt with. She was referred to us by a…read morefriend who attended a wedding she officiated. My then-fiancé contacted her via email rather late notice (1 month prior), set up an appointment to meet her at home, we met with her and chose the "parts" to the ceremony (we mixed and matched a handful of commonly said things she already had), gave her a cash deposit on the spot, and were out of there in an hour! A day or two later, she emailed us the entire ceremony that we had discussed in her home, allowed us to make some changes via email, and that was it. We didn't hear or see her again until an hour before the actual ceremony. She made sure to find us at our venue, gave us a couple pointers, and told us to relax and that she would be giving us cues, which she did very subtly and professionally. Even one of our groomsmen asked us later, "Where did you find her? She was on top of things!" For those of you looking for someone to guide you through every detail, she might not be the one for you. She's rather hands off, but she is pretty responsive via email. Like other officiants, she will charge extra if you want her to attend your rehearsal, so we orchestrated the rehearsal ourselves. She is also really a good soul. Although she has a church background, she is very open and accepting of all humankind. We were not picky about our ceremony - just that it be non denominational and short! But in hindsight, I'm glad we chose someone with such poise and experience! Working with her was truly effortless and inexpensive! I highly recommend Rev. Denise!

Throughout the entire process, Rev. Bill was incredibly responsive, met all timelines set and made everything so easy. He wrote the most perfect ceremony which we were able to review and edit months before the big day. We met again about 2 months before the wedding to go over everything, and again our minds were totally put at ease. We had no idea what we were doing, and Rev. Bill's guidance was invaluable. About 3 weeks before the wedding we decided we really wanted to have a rehearsal. Rev. Bill fit it into his schedule with no problem, and was great about giving us, our families and the wedding party the guidance we needed. On the day of the wedding, everything went perfectly! We invited him and his wife to join us for the reception, and it felt like they were part of our group of family and friends. We are SO glad he was available for our wedding date! In addition to him being a great person, Rev. Bill submitted our marriage license right after the wedding, and emailed us a copy with a cute word cloud. ACE did a wonderful job with the lighting and drapes for our wedding, and we got so many…read morecompliments from our guests. I'm a video producer, and more than any other element of the decor, I believe that good lighting is key to creating a warm, inviting ambiance. So, after we decided on our venue, ACE was one of the first vendors we contacted. We'd never planned a wedding before, so we weren't exactly sure what we would need, nor how much it would cost, but Yoni and Ewa immediately put us at ease. Right away, Yoni met us to do a walkthrough of the venue, and they were able to execute exactly what we wanted, and also made some very helpful suggestions while staying right within our budget. It was all very affordable, and they provided excellent service from our initial call, to answering all of our many questions along the way, and very efficiently setting up and tearing down on the day of the event. For our ceremony backdrop, I asked them to hang a 10' wide macrame curtain, but it was so big, I had to keep it in a box for several months until I passed it off to the team at ACE a couple of weeks before the event. Luckily, Ewa did some research to make sure the macrame wouldn't get too wrinkled/tangled before they suspended it. When I finally got to see everything put together at the ceremony/reception, it was even more beautiful than I'd imagined. I'm still waiting on our photos from the photographer, but once I get them, I'll need to post them here to demonstrate what a lovely job they did.

I found ACE Chicago Events through a standard Google search, and when I reached out they were…read moreresponsive immediately. Both Ewa and Yoni took the time to meet me at my venue for a walk-through and estimate, and patiently answered all of my questions and talked through the whole event so they had a really good idea of what we envisioned. When we changed to a larger venue just three and a half weeks before the event, Ewa and Yoni didn't skip a beat; they met us at the new venue and did another walk-through, and revised the whole plan on the spot, which was considerably more involved than the first one. Both of them were excellent communicators, and shared helpful suggestions while also making us feel like we were always in control of our vision. This is a difficult line to walk, and the result ended up being amazing. Yoni arrived the day before the event and set up, which minimized day-of commotion. Yoni and his team were the epitome of professional: respectful, efficient, and highly skilled at what they did. They also all had cool-and-collected attitudes throughout the entire process, and the "I got this, no problem" energy behind the scenes was invaluable. It really helped set the tone of a well-executed event run by competent, organized people. When we had a projection project (designed by an artist of ours) not work out as planned at the top of our runway, Yoni improvised with a lighting effect and it ended up being way better than our original idea. The lighting throughout the entire venue was gorgeous and transformed a blank canvas into exactly the vibe we were going for: elegant, beautiful, interesting and welcoming. The A/V was also flawless. Having never produced an event of this caliber before, I was unaware of the A/V needs to make sure that people at the event can actually hear whoever is speaking on the microphone, for example. I've been to so many events where the person speaking is barely audible. Our speakers were crystal clear and Yoni did an excellent job interfacing with our DJ. He was also meticulous - and fast! - when it came to running, hiding and securing what seemed like miles of wires, so that we didn't even know they were there. From small details like the red carpet and stanchions to sound throughout the entire space, it was all handled smoothly and professionally. Ewa was communicative and excellent at sending over several updated proposals as the planning progressed, and they are simply an excellent team. I could not be happier with ACE Chicago Events, they elevated and polished our first event and executed our vision to perfection: what was just an idea at the beginning of January became an approximately 500-person event in the middle of May that definitely had the "WOW!!!" factor. Not only are Ewa and Yoni extremely good at what they do and worth every penny, they are great people. For the quality we received and the peace of mind knowing that people we trust were taking care of all the technical details, it was absolutely one of the best decisions we made to hire them as our production company. I would highly recommend ACE Chicago Events for any event you are organizing, and I have already booked them for our next one in the fall!

When I changed my mind and decided I didn't want to leave God out of our wedding, I said that I would pay for and find the officiant. I admit I didn't shop around. My wedding planning approach was one and done. Once I found something I liked, I was done "shopping." I liked that Rev. Phil offered a free intro session before committing to his services. After the first one hour meeting, my husband also liked him and we were sold. We did the full package and I'd recommend it. The love story was definitely the best part of the service. It's true what the other reviewers said, people talked about that love story for weeks and months after the wedding. We were willing to make fun of ourselves and this really helped carry-off the fun of the story. Rev. Phil has a great knack for telling a story. Everyone was laughing, including us. So many of our pictures show me looking around to the crowd laughing at my ridiculous self and trying to make eye contact with someone mentioned in the story. We were also able to incorporate a touching candle-lighting memorial for my husband's deceased parents, as well as readings that were a mix of religious and secular. Rev. Phil is very detail-oriented and will give you explicit instructions and details about each part of the service. I found this helpful, as I didn't want to worry about all the details myself. As he says, he's the professional and will take the stress of this part of the wedding off of you. As a bonus, I heard he even "fooled" by super-Catholic mom by wearing his collar. No grief for no Catholic wedding! Rev. Phil really helped make our wedding a perfect, unique and special night! I'd recommend him to anyone!
