We got married at Pine Manor in September 2015 and I could not have asked for a more beautiful ceremony and the setting was perfect for us and the pretty garden made it feel really romantic. We selected the Everything Wedding for up to 30 guests and from there we had very simple decisions while Rev Pam and Liz her assistant did the rest. From the cake, to the violinist, vows, dance lessons, delicious food, music, beautiful bouquet, hair & makeup, wedding invitations, photography and drinks. It all was absolutely PERFECT! I must say I was kind of neurotic and emailed her a lot with random questions and requests and any request was no problem and all questions were answered quickly. She also allowed us to make payments up until the wedding which really helped. Not only is Rev Pam on top of every little detail but she's also very warm and kind and makes you feel at home and definitely makes your big day really special to you. BTW, our cake was Central Continental Bakery was amazing! We got so many comments about how delicious it was and how beautiful it looked. I gave Rev Pam a picture of the way I wanted our cake to look and she made it happen. I thoroughly recommend Pine Manor for anyone thinking of getting married. Mary & Rich Married Sept 5, 2015

He really took the time to get to know us as both individuals and as a couple. The ceremony he put together was perfect. it was so personal, funny, and heart-warming. I highly recommend Rev. Jim to anyone getting married. Not convinced? Think about it, the one thing that is an absolute necessity for a wedding is an officiant to marry you. You don't necessarily need the flowers, fancy dinner, music, or all the extras, but you do need an officiant! Therefore, it is the most important part of the wedding. Hire the best. Hire Rev. Jim!!!

I called him, and it took around 3 weeks for him to return my call, and another 4 weeks to get an appointment! I took the appointment, and decided to look elsewhere in the meantime. I did end up finding another person to perform our ceremony, so I called the rev as soon as I knew this. I figured it was ample notice, and that I was not being rude as our appointment was still 3 weeks away. I tried to talk to him in person several times, but kept getting the machine, so I left a message stating; "We have decided to cancel our appointment with you, as we have found someone else to perform the wedding. Thanks, and we will call you if we need you in the future." The rev was not happy--I received SEVERAL phone calls from him at my JOB! He actually took down the number on the caller ID from my initial call, and called my receptionist to the point where she actually said, "Who the heck is this guy?" I had asked him to contact me on my cell phone, and gave him the number back when we were thinking of hiring him. Things got more strange as time went on. He called me from a strange number, so I answered. He asked if we were still getting marred on x date, and if we needed him! I told him NO, and thank you. He actually called my wedding venue and told them that I was CANCELING THE WEDDING COMPLETELY. She took into account our venue and made beautiful similarities between love and nature which was perfect for us. Her ceremony was sincere and put tears in both of our eyes. She as also brief and not "too wordy" which was perfect. We got so many compliments on her and we would recommend her to anyone, no matter if you want something nondenominational, or perhaps more religious. She will make your ceremony personalized and perfect. She is extremely prompt and responsive to emails and questions. She also promptly filed for our marriage license with the county and we got our copy in the mail very quickly. When I changed my mind and decided I didn't want to leave God out of our wedding, I said that I would pay for and find the officiant. I admit I didn't shop around. My wedding planning approach was one and done. Once I found something I liked, I was done "shopping." I liked that Rev. Phil offered a free intro session before committing to his services. After the first one hour meeting, my husband also liked him and we were sold. We did the full package and I'd recommend it. The love story was definitely the best part of the service. It's true what the other reviewers said, people talked about that love story for weeks and months after the wedding. We were willing to make fun of ourselves and this really helped carry-off the fun of the story. Rev. Phil has a great knack for telling a story. Everyone was laughing, including us. So many of our pictures show me looking around to the crowd laughing at my ridiculous self and trying to make eye contact with someone mentioned in the story. We were also able to incorporate a touching candle-lighting memorial for my husband's deceased parents, as well as readings that were a mix of religious and secular. Rev. Phil is very detail-oriented and will give you explicit instructions and details about each part of the service. I found this helpful, as I didn't want to worry about all the details myself. As he says, he's the professional and will take the stress of this part of the wedding off of you. As a bonus, I heard he even "fooled" by super-Catholic mom by wearing his collar. No grief for no Catholic wedding! Rev. Phil really helped make our wedding a perfect, unique and special night! I'd recommend him to anyone!

DO NOT HIRE... unless you want to be left stranded by your officiant the week before your wedding…read more We hired Jessica in 2023 for our 2024 wedding after recommendations from friends whose wedding ceremony we witnessed was officiated by Jessica. She was *fairly* communicative throughout our year and a half of planning. However, the last bit of communication came from her in July 2024 for our September 2024 wedding and not a word after that. Both myself and my coordinator attempted to contact her to get final details in place (ceremony script, rehearsal info, etc.) to no avail. The week before the wedding we were left scrambling and luckily we're able to have an ordained family member perform the ceremony. However, this was entirely preventable. If Jessica decided she double booked herself, leave industry, etc. a simple email explaining and providing of an alternative and our money back would have been preferred. Also, her website is now down and contact communication of any kind is absolutely useless. If you're closing your business, fine, but tell those who have hired you! DO NOT HIRE.

This lack of professionalism and disregard for their clients' time and trust is absolutely unacceptable. I strongly advise against entrusting any important event to this business. Do not hire!!!!

His vendor profile caught our eye because of the good reviews, his big smile, and the Journey t-shirt he wore as he officiated someone's wedding (we're big 80's rock fans). Our initial communications with Rev. Brad were great. He responded quickly and didn't badger us with constant phone calls/texts/emails while we narrowed down our top officiants to meet up with. Once we decided to meet with him, we had a long, in depth meeting that lasted more than an hour. He happily walked us through all wedding planning timelines and what documents we would need to get our marriage license, as well as what his services would look like. We loved how interested he was in our love story, interests, and desires for our wedding day. Six months later, it was time for our final meeting before the wedding. Rev. Brad took his time to create the perfect ceremony for us. The meeting took about two hours and we left feeling very confident that we would have the ceremony of our dreams... until March came around. With COVID-19 on the rise and everything shutting down, like many other couples, we were forced to postpone our wedding. Rev. Brad was very understanding and was able to accommodate our new wedding date on June 7th which was later postponed again to October 2020 (fingers crossed). As weeks went by COVID-19 kept going strong and our wedding license kept collecting dust on our table, about to expire. So, we decided to elope. We called Rev. Brad and asked if he would be willing to marry us in a quick, socially distanced ceremony at a nearby park. He said "absolutely" and was able to marry us in a very sweet, intimate ceremony during a gorgeous day in April with both sets of parents attending via videocall. We are looking forward to having our big (or at least bigger) celebration in October when Rev. Brad can tell our love story in front of our friends and loved ones. Whether you're looking to have a big ceremony or a small, intimate elopement, we absolutely recommend Rev. Brad.
