We got…read moremarried at Pine Manor this September,Thanked Goodness the weather turned out great as we could have the ceremony in the Garden....which looks flowery and romantic.....We chose this venue right away after the walkthrough & delicious pastries served to us .....We had the 30 People Package (the website is informative). Pam did all the planning&Officiating.....She and her assistant were so helpful (you can call them if you have any questions. Pam even helped us figure out the invitation ideas, and she does bouquet,Boutonniere as well, I LOVE the bouquet she made us!).......We had both photos & Video taken (we spent most of the time taking pictures and recording video, well, though it's tiring, I guess the great memory need to be 100% captured ).....Cake looked elegant,tasted great....We toasted with the engraved glasses (with the words we wanted to put on them).....Our Guests loved all the food as we all ate a lot..... If you want your wedding to be private, all close families, you are at the right place as well. The garden ceremony went smoothly even without rehearsal (it was less nerve-racking as you're no stranger to your guests), with all the blessings from families we jumped the broom.....At the end of the day,we all started singing while having dinner & cake. Before we left Pine Manor heading to the Hotel Jacuzzi Suite (including in our package), we got a gift basket from Pam which is real sweet.... Everything about the site, from the amazing gothic architecture, to the well manicured courtyard, shaded by old majestic trees, to the hourly tolling of the bell tower, make it feel like being transported to another world, or at least to another age. The center is built alongside Lake Michigan, if you have the opportunity, wake up early and watch the sunrise over the lake, I promise, it is worth the (very slight) effort. The staff are all friendly, polite, and professional, and absolutely go out of their way to make sure to be helpful and accommodating. If you are planning an event, and want a location that is beautiful, comfortable, and memorable, I strongly recommend considering the DeKoven Center!

The venue is nice looking and the grounds are well-maintained with flowers, trees, etc. It is also nice to have everything at one location. Overall it was a nice wedding. Just a few problems... the chapel smells a little musty and the grounds are just north of the sewage treatment plant. So a south wind (which we had) is not good. But... those are ignorable since as I said everything looked and felt nice.

The simplistic way to describe them is "Excellent in every way possible". We recently got our engagement photographs done with M&M and both of us are in love with the final product. These guys really work with you, I live in San Francisco and my Fiancée is based out of Toronto Canada, knowing that we were coming all the way to Chicago; both Ryan and Sarah went really out of the way to cater to our needs. Even after including our cost of travel, hotel , car etc the photographs we got are worth a lot more. Sarah pays close attention to your conversations, she tries to understands what you want from the shoot as well as any special requests (which in our case were more than a few). Ryan is like the wiz kid who is quietly thinking of ways to not only ensure your requirements are meet but also to come up with creative ways to add that WoW factor!!! Together they sure know how to over come logistical issues make the best of available situation. Believe me they start with normal every day weather / locations and make the pictures look absolutely mind blowing.
