This fits perfectly with our theme though not everything was as great as we wished. There was a window controlled unit for air conditioning, so it's not advised for summer weddings. Our wedding was about 80 degrees outside so inside was fairly warm in our suits and dresses. Our coordinator was switched last minute on us about 10 days before the wedding, so she did not have time to coordinate with us for rehearsal or the wedding day. My wedding party did not get along with her as she threw off our timing with the entrance and rushed us on several occasions to "move-along". Mind you, we rehearsed the timing of the entrance song to the bridesmaids walking down the aisle but she did not care. She even locked the doors of the chapel 30 minutes before the event was over, even though we paid for the extra 2 hours based on the original contract we signed. This place would have been perfect if the coordinator was more hands off and assisted us rather than dictate our day. If you pick this place, please be warned and have everything in writing.

The chapel was set up with flowers, etc. when we arrived. She also took care of everything after the service so that we could get to the luncheon. While it's built and decorated in the style of a gothic cathedral, it actually does not have any religious affiliation and is home to all kinds of events, including convocation, orientation, weddings, concerts, yoga, and a variety of religious events. Aside from some of the public events that you can attend, you can also walk through to enjoy the architecture whenever the university is open and there are no events taking place (so most weekdays). There are also daily tours of the tower and carillon; if you are comfortable walking up all the steps it's very interesting and provides an amazing view of the campus. Every day at noon on campus you can also be treated to the carillon bells being played. Sometimes it's classical music, but other times it can be the sesame street theme song or a pop song; it's up to whoever is playing that day.

While an officiant is supposed to be a source of peace and celebration, Carla was nothing but a source of stress, unprofessionalism, and--most alarmingly--dishonesty. Our experience was a nightmare of "radio silence." After paying our deposit, we went weeks without any response to our emails or voicemails. When she did finally resurface, it was always the same: a laundry list of excuses (trips, "archived" emails, personal matters) followed by template responses that made it clear she hadn't actually read our requests or taken our wedding seriously. The breaking point came when we tried to terminate our contract due to her lack of communication. Not only did she refuse to return our deposit, but she manually altered our original invoice after the fact. We have the original documents showing the payment was not listed as non-refundable; once we asked for our money back, she doctored the invoice to "deceptively" add non-refundable language to justify stealing our money. Attempting to manipulate a contract and steal from a couple planning their wedding is beyond the pale. This is predatory behavior. Please, do yourself a favor and find someone who treats your marriage with the respect and integrity it deserves. Stay far away from Carla Doshi.

I loved how she had these beautiful quotes from books, poems and our own words taken from our homework. We clicked with her immediately and we loved the ceremony. She gave us a gorgeous certificate as well for a keepsake. She was also so amazing on the wedding day, I was freaking out because someone showed up at our wedding who was uninvited and she was so calm and came up with a plan in two seconds and dealt with the guest. We never had too and no one noticed anything. She responds so fast and is just amazing. So affordable and will give you a wedding ceremony to cherish.

I think we literally shook hands and met every single person at the service. Such a warm and welcoming community, we will definitely come back for a service next time we are in Illinois. The church itself looks like something out of a postcard, absolutely beautiful stain glass all over and gorgeous Art Deco lighting through out.

Horrible experience, the venue was not mowed, nor racked before my son and daughter in laws…read morereception set up, The venue stated a year ago when we met with them for the first time that they would have everything needed to help with the reception and when it came down to it they not only lied about that they also got mad because we chose to use our own vendors instead of what they offered in the contract it states they have electrical outlets as well as generators on the property as well as extra tents if needed available and when it came time for our vendors to arrive we found they had no electricity on the property at all then they got an attitude about needing electricity they said it was our responsibility to provide the electricity and everything for our reception that they are just a platform for the reception, they then began threatening my daughter in law and son to start charging them an extra 100.00 on the hour if we did not get off the property with everything taken down at 10pm which is when our reception was supposed to end, she then began telling me as I refused to let my children have their night ruined that we was supposed to shut our reception down at 7pm and begin cleaning up the venue and being gone at 10pm all she wanted to say was look at your contract which we have and the fact is she put the dates on the contract but no times and she signed it, as well as the contract we have says that the bar and DJ has to shut down at 10:30pm, the driveway to the venue is also very narrow and they have a large camper sitting at the top of the entrance way as well as 2 vehicles making it very hard to pull in and out of the venue. These people sent us several very nasty text messages and were very untruthful they then said they would be sending us an itemized bill for what they helped with again stating this is in the contract which again is not.

And they announce the service over the intercom several times when service is near starting with 15 mins notice so you can make your way to Terminal C near the MAC store just past the airport food court and before the gates on the left is an elevator. 30 min service in and out and quality!
