More enchanting welcoming you just have to experience this. I was there on Saturday that just passed and I took my BF daughter there as she has never been. WOW she was very excited and picked out some neat things for the Easter Bunny to bring. There is a great section of travelling games they actually had the travelling hang man game and gee I would like that for the car as I hate to go on drives and it was under $15. In the back of one of the sections there is a small adult section with a big comfy chair that you can enjoy while your child is enjoying all the great surprises around the corner.

I do not think there is once spec of room left in the store to put anything. It is jammed packed! The staff are great and friendly. We went there to look for a few of the games we like. It is true , most people probably walk by not knowing what is on the other side.

Taking my son there when he was smaller we purchased many items from this location and he still have two of these today. This is a store that is for the Hobbyist. Not only do they have games for kids they have fun and interesting they have hobby kits for adults. Ship making kits was something that was very interesting. Puzzles and paints fill the walls and ready for that little one to make something special from. Honestly this is a store that is different and unique and a must see for all to enjoy and learn. Can you honestly put a price on education? This store is a bit pricey but like I said my son still has two of the games and he is 22.

When I was feeling blue the other day, my boyfriend decided an adventure was in order. As Nerf Gun…read morefever has struck our apartment, we headed into Dartmouth Crossing to check out Toys R Us' selection. I've never been in the new TRU location, as it was built just after I left Dartmouth Crossing. The layout is really nice, bright and clear, with an connecting entrance to Baby's R Us, which is next door, and which I will never enter, unless someone drags me with quite a bit of force. Or bribery. The overall layout is super different than the old spot in MicMac, and it's also not nearly as big. It has a bit of a squished in feeling, to be honest. We were both looking for specific things, and we found them both. They have an excellent assortment of science toys, action figures, plushies, everything kids could want; Heck, they have everything I want and I'm twenty-eight! It was an ok visit. I'll be back again, I'm sure.

I get to cash the Barbie and Horse ring up as 69.99! I said no thank you I am not paying that. She pulled up the flyer and there was a Barbie and Horse on sale for 44.97 and it had a white horse instead of the traditional brown color. So I went on my why without it. I wanted to go look at this display and see how deceiving it was. After looking at it, I felt I should go to customer service and let them know of the error. To my surprise the awesome sales rep said I could have the Barbie and Horse for the price listed for sale, and it was their error and they will Price Guarantee the item! Thanks Toys R us!!!!

Probably the biggest collection of different figures I've seen in Halifax. The store is quite large, which is surprising because it doesn't look big from the street. It doesn't look like much, but once you start wandering through the store you'll find the selection unbeatable. I didn't interact with the staff on this visit - they were busy chatting with someone else about board games, and I didn't need any help so I didn't bother them - but they seem really knowledgeable and excited to share their knowledge with customers.

You have to know where to look or you will miss it for sure. I happened to meet the owner Mike. A pretty relaxed guy, I guess you would have to be in this business. I have never seen so many comics in my life. This store is jammed packed full of adventure of all kinds, there is not an ounce of space not used. Mike has been at this location for about 4 years, but has been in the business for much longer. This store is know by an elite group of people already. You will find your new and used Comic Books, Game Boards, Graphic Novels (20% off) always, Action Figures, Card Games. I am probably missing a lot, but lets just say, Mike has it. Now, I have to say, it is worth the venture to see the Statue of Yoda (look at the picture attached). It is fantastic. Life Sized!! Who knew Comics had such a large following. Well they do! Go and Enjoy.

There's a little used clothing section at the back and the quality and condition of the clothes is always perfect. There's also a section with gear for expectant or nursing mamas. The toys and kid/baby gear are all very good quality, with lots of options for unique gifts. The staff are so friendly and helpful. I'm always impressed by how knowledgeable they are about their products and options that might work well for your family. The prices can be a little higher in some instances, but I expect that with local businesses that provide unique and higher quality items. There's a little area for parents and kids to play or relax, and they've got a Kurig! Whenever a kid in my life has a birthday or other special event, Fiddleheads is my first stop…read more Here's why: - I feel fairly confident I'll hit a home run with both parent and child with any gift from this store: the toys are fun, educational and unique. - I love to support a local, independent business, especially when it's convenient (just a few minutes from home). - It's a much calmer shopping environment than any other toy store I've been in. I can really take my time here to browse and investigate my options without feeling like I'm going to lose my mind (I like kids - really I do, but 17 million of them screaming and running circles around me in Toys 'R Us is more than I can bear some days). - The staff are so helpful and knowledgeable, but will also blend into the background if you just want to browse around on your own. - The selection of second-hand clothing is in immaculate condition. I've never purchased second-hand clothes as a gift, but if I had a kid, I would so buy their clothes here. - They will "gift wrap" for you by putting your item in a Fiddleheads brown paper gift bag filled with pretty yellow-green tissue paper and tied with a green ribbon. Maybe not the traditional style of wrapping children's gifts, but the parents will appreciate a little understated beauty. And they have amazing handcrafted cards for sale at the cash register in case you're stuck at the last minute and forgot one. Or you just really appreciate a gorgeous card. One caveat - the prices are a little steeper than I'd like. I get that they will obviously have higher prices than a big box store, but the prices are just a smidge beyond what I want to pay sometimes. Not completely outrageous though. Perhaps I should think of it as insurance - chances are the kid isn't getting a duplicate gift from someone else. Unless they too shop at Fiddleheads. Oh! And one of my favourite things - you know the I heart Dartmouth shirts from Two if By Sea? Onesies and kiddie shirts my friends. Oh yes.

I wouldn't necessarily call myself a comic book fan but I love to look at the manga and figurines. I asked if they had any Archie comic books for sale and I was directed toward some and was told that they were selling old Archie books for $1.00 each. I couldn't believe my ears. I excitedly asked where I could find them and I bought five of them. I've loved the Archie books since I was a kid (before the terrible television show Riverdale came out). I thanked the store employee for being so helpful and he introduced me to their adorable dog who I now follow on Instagram. The dog's Instagram handle is @strangegromit. Please give this dog a follow. He's SO CUTE! While he isn't always at the store, if you go every day like I did while I was in Halifax, you're bound to run into him at some point.
