Came for an eyebrow wax. Not the first time, been coming there for years. When the wax was done, they didn't offer a mirror. After I left, I saw that a large chunk of my eyebrow was missing! A totally bald spot! I went back, not even to get my money back, but just for an apology. The women proceeded to tell me that "it was like that". Um, absolutely no the hell it was not! Very nice salon! My first time here, and I chose it for the reasonable pricing and good reviews. As soon as I came in I was greeted and offered the first available technician. They helped me pick a color (I'm so indecisive!) and let me test it out to be sure I liked it on my toes. Everyone was so polite and made small talk with me and the other clients so everyone felt like their most important customer. Beautiful nails ! Got my nails done by Kelly. I asked for a coffin Sns dip powder with tips and she did an amazing job! Love my nails the shape and color is perfect . It was $55 which is a great price compared to other spots I've been too. SNS usually lasts 4 weeks so I'm going to com back and see how well they last but overall my experience was nice. i booked a gel mani and regular pedi. my nail tech operated as if she was on autopilot so i had to keep pointing out her errors. the ten minute foot massage she upsold me on was uneven and uncomfortable. she barely touched my calluses when running over my feet with a file (which i pointed out, and still--she did nothing), and she did such a half-hearted job shaping my fingernails that i switched to regular polish so i could get out of there sooner. when asked why, i told her i felt as if she wasn't paying attention to her work. when she finished painting my nails i had to ask her to remove globs of polish from my skin. then she asked me if i wanted a shoulder massage while my nails dried. no, girl, you don't know how to do massage. if i wanted this rough of a nail job i would have done them myself at home. i removed my fingernail polish (and all the gunk she left under my nails) and the quality of my paint job was actually better. why do nail techs think customers want to pay $$$ for crummy service? do they think we don't notice? it feels like a scam. i won't ever go here again--i'll gladly pay more at a nearby salon next time. read more

when i booked the appointment, i said it would be a friend and myself. they acted surprised when we both showed up. they then told me that my $40 acrylic manicure would actually be $71 because of the color i chose? i felt this was odd but this was my first experience getting this kind of service. i definitely don't need my nails to be perfect but i'm pretty disappointed in the quality, especially for almost double the price i was expecting. polish looks bulky and patchy. i feel ripped off. the press ons i do at home in the exact same style look better than this :/ read more

First of all, the correct address is 66-01 gates avenue. Secondly, I went to this place once when I needed a pedi and tips ASAP. I called beforehand because it was already 5:30 and I knew they closed at 7. The woman said there was plenty of time and I could still go. I get there and she does my pedi first. I sit on the chair for the tips, and it was about 6:00. She was rushing beyond belief. It was as if she was closing in 5 mins. We were the only 2 people in there, when it came time to pay, she didn't give me a receipt or paper with the price; nothing. She probably pocketed the money herself. Who knows. If you ask for something additional like nail art or a small fix there is a lot of attitude and it seems that they are speaking bad about their clients the moment they ask for something. Very disappointed. I went for a regular acrylic nails with a V line on top and asked for regular nails polish. But when it came to paying her she charged me $46 for French tips which she didn't even do french tips. I've done french tips other places before and the way it was done was over half way with nude pink acrylic powder and the top with white powder, and not white nail polish which the lines are not even and the color fading off already. I never make complain about prices but this was a rip off. If i knew she's gonna change that much for regular color i would have done better style. The only reason im leaving a bad review is because she didn't even tell me she's gonna charged extra until i asked her at the end why is the price so high. read more

Overall fine, but i just got ripped off there! I was there last week, done SNS paid $35 plus $5 tip and had to come back today to redo my nails because she didn't finish them well so they started coming off and breaking. She fixed them for $25, like wtf? It should be done free !!! Your employee did bad job and your job was to fix it with no charge if you wanted to keep a happy customer. I spent $65 within a week for something i should pay for only $35. You lost a customer but u made extra $25 off of me, hope you guys proud of yourself at least because i am certainly changing nail salon and never going back there and I highly do not recommend this place! read more

I come to this salon often. It is my go-to salon in my neighborhood. It isn't the best but they get the job done and they try hard. The nails look good for a few days but sometimes they get a little loose on the sides and the color turns for one reason or another. They are a new location and seem pretty clean. One of the lady's that used to work at Satisfaction nail salon is working at this salon now. She is honestly the best worker there and always treats me kindly. She always understands exactly what I want done. The prices are decent for the work you get done. They are just a couple of dollars more expensive than any other nail salon but they do take their time a bit more than other places. I went in there as a last resort, my salon down the block was full. The young woman who did my nails (the owners daughter) did an average job. $20 for gel polish, plus $5 just to peel off the polish (which is ridiculous because no one else charges for that). When I was done, she told me the total was $27. $20 + $5 is not $27. Then when she gave me a receipt, it said $28. I wasn't going to argue over a few dollars. This salon should be out of business The first time I went I had a good experience. So a few weeks later I made an appointment for the same girl. I arrived on time and was told to pick a color and sit. After 15 mins I asked where the girl was . maybeshewas on a break and didnt know I was there. I was again told don't worry just wait. A half hour later I ask if she Was there in The back. I was told one minute. With the the manicurist (Asian) began to speak Spanish to a customer and the two began to laugh this went on far about a 1/2 hour more. I don't speak Spanish so I was unaware. Of what was being said. It was already to late for me to go anywhere else. A friend of mine was meeting me for dinner so she Came in ( she speaks Spanish). It turns out the whole time they were saying how I was going to have to wait because I think I'm a princess. I don't think I'm a princess ! I had an appointment ! Of course we confronted the manicurist and we were told to shut up and called Bitches. Needless to say we walked out. The first time I went they did an incredible job! The second time, I asked for a pedicure but for the lady to cut the nails straight, as if they are cut otherwise they hurt. She said yes ok, but while she was cutting my nails she cut the corners completely off, and far inwards. I got my pedicure before going on holiday so I didn't have to deal with this until I come back, now my big toe hurting and I GOT AN INFECTION. My big toe is red, swollen, and throbbing. This is the nail salon closest to my house. I go here sometimes, although I prefer M & M nails further down Fresh Pond towards Myrtle. Sometimes, though, I get lazy and don't feel like walking all the way there. They have decent colors and they will do a decent manicure. There are two older Chinese ladies who run the place, and they hire a few other girls to do manicures and pedicures. The two ladies seem to treat their other employees kind of like shit, though....there's one absolutely sweet, adorable girl there who they just hired and they barely let her do anything - they only let her do the pedicures or the gross stuff they don't want to do. One time, I saw them let her start doing manicures and then they would kick her out once she did the hard part and they would finish and take the tips. I felt terrible for her. They also are a pretty small place and there's always a line and it annoys me to have to wait 45 minutes just to get a manicure. They're fine, but I'd rather go to M & M where the girls are all absolutely sweet and adorable and the colors are great as well. read more
