Reception team is incompetent. Came in on a Wednesday to have a broken bone assessed and the Dr. recommended surgery. We were told we would have an answer about whether the hospital he operates out of was contacted with our insurance by end of day. We heard nothing back. Calls went unanswered and care was delayed for an extra week. When we finally were able to get ahold of 1 of the receptionists she let us know she did not know how to send in a referral and the receptionist who did was out until today. Finally, today we went back to the office only to be told the hospital is not contacted and we are in our own. I came to this doctor one week before a 10 day vacation. I explained I wasn't trying to make any big decisions. I just didn't wanna be in pain for the vacation. He said OK will give you the Cortizone. I said I read on the Internet there was another shot a gel shot He said do you want that? I said is it better? He said well it lasts a lot longer. And Medicare will pay for it. So I said OK. I went on and on about the vacation next week that it was a cruise and it was all Black people and I was so happy to be able to dance! I went on and on about 12 day vacation and wow so relieved not to be in pain. I come in two days later for the shot. Again, I talked about the relief of not being in pain next week for my 12 day vacation.After five days, I called the office and said hey I'm not getting any relief yet. The snarky lady who answer says well I heard you ask for the gel and it takes 30 days to kick in. I said then you also heard me ask not to be in pain for my next week's vacation. My opinion since the shot cost twice as much, they didn't hear anything else. I believe the doctor completely ignored everything I said, and did not give one damn about me. After going on and on about not wanting to be in Pain the next week... He still gave me a shot that takes 30 days to kick in. Is it because I'm a woman? Is it because I'm a black woman? Dr. Green was thorough in x-raying and diagnosing my arthritic knees. He prescribed a time- release NSAID that is a game-changer plus Diclofenac gel to rub in around my knees. The office staff were courteous and I didn't wait long. Great experience! read more

Very kind and patient doctor, explained everything to me and said I didn't need surgery, which was what I wanted. (No Surgery). He is not cut happy like some other doctors might be. He offered alternative therapy for my meniscus. He referred me to a wonderful Physical Therapy clinic which I am making progress and the pain is diminishing. I am very happy with Dr. Green and his staff of Bethany and Echo are so sweet and professional. It means a lot when you can interact with sweet and kind people when you walk in on crutches. This day and age it is very hard to find a doctor who will sit down and not be either on the computer while he talks to you, or is rushed at every appointment. I went to this doctor for an x-ray and consult. I was not examined by him nor did he have the professional courtesy to even meet me, a new patient. After the x-ray, an NP came out and gave me some general information. I had to call his office a month after the visit to get the summary (if there was one) sent to my primary care doctor. Extremely unprofessional and discourteous conduct; poor standard of care. Find some other practitioner. Either this one is too busy, too arrogant or doesn't think senior citizens deserve the full professional attention of a doctor. read more

I am so very thankful towards Dr. Green and his staff ! I had surgery with Dr. Green about a week ago for a meniscus tear and even though it was my first surgery EVER he made me feel completely comfortable. :) Dr. Green is very thorough and very kind to his patients he takes the time to talk to you which I absolutely LOVE because even though I may have a lot of questions or concerns he does not mind them at all. I just had a surgery with Dr. Green and I needed to write this review. First of all, I tore a tendon from my knee cap and it really needed to be looked at fast! That's where my first big thank you goes to. The hard and fast work on behalf of Stephanie was fantastic! She worked to make arrangements for me and my surgery. She worked on the surgery date, the post op labs, after surgery medications and my follow up visit! I want to say how grateful I am to her for all the caring she put into this! Thanks also to Bethany for getting things done so quickly. Then to say thank you for Dr. Green. He kept me informed on all my steps before and during the surgery and everything went great and smoothly! His skill was exceptional. Thank you Dr. Green for helping me! I made an apt to see Dr. Green because I have had swollen & water in my knees f9or about 3 weeks. Painful to go upstairs and bend my knees. They had me have X-rays. And a PA came in to tell me there was nothing wrong with my knees .. The Dr never saw me or looked at or examined my knees. The following day I called to request a copy of my X-rays so that I could get a 2nd opinion. It had to call them 2 more times before I received a copy, so that I could go see another orthopedic Dr. .. And the staff was very unfriendly because I called to see why it was taking so long to receive my X-rays. So disappointed .. I feel I like I wasted my time and I could never recommend this office ever to any friends or family. No stars would be my rating if possible. read more

I have seen him for years. surgeries performed by him were totally painless. even shots given by him for pain were painless compared to the same shots given to me by other doctors. when in the hospital for one of my surgeries. I was told by more than one nurse that all the emploiees there used him for their surgeries. they stated that he was the best and most trusted doctor/surgeon who practiced there. The wait time was pretty bad. I arrived on time for my appointment. I waited two hours so I could be told by the PA that I need surgery. A 3 minute conversation and I was out. So, I arrive today for my appointment scheduled for 10am, after filling out the paperwork, i wait for 20 minutes, get called to the back where I got stuck waiting for over 2 hours for Dr. Green to see me, I tell the receptionist who goes and checks how long he will be and her response is it will be another 20 minutes. I ask her about rescheduling, the Dr. Doesn't work in the afternoons even though there are literallybpatients in very room waiting. So the soonest she could reschedule me is for next week. I'm just blow away at the attitude she gave, absolutely no apology for the 2 hour wait and the level of uncaringness for the patients. I'm still sitting here in this 1920s raggedy building that is in desperate need of repair and smells like a colostomy bag... This has got to be one of the worst experiences at a Doctors office. I honestly believe the Long Beach VA is better than this place. I would strongly suggest researching other places, this place blows... Cannot say much for Dr. GREEN Because he has not even came by.
