They were precise, fast and left the site and street very clean. I witnessed a repeat performance a few weeks ago when they worked on another yard two doors down. So when the time came for us to take down our front-yard 45-year-old spruce tree, I thought of Ace of Trees. They were able to accommodate my quick time-line and their price was the best of the 3 quotes I got.

Cleaned up after the job, great work, and had a very competitive price. Hired them this year to cut down a tree and trim another and I was quite disappointed. Left a considerable mess at both sites. They did not specify the exact day they would be arriving, so I still had birdfeeders in the tree to be trimmed. It would have taken less than 5 seconds to remove the feeders and there is just no way they couldn't have been noticed. Instead, both were destroyed. Who does that? The trimming work was minimal and definitely not worth the fee. The tree removal left a huge dirt pile scattered across the yard after the stump grinding. Their overall price was still more competitive than the other firms that quoted, but that low price came with a lesser product.

I would recommend this company to anyone who has questions concerns about trees - without hesitation. The quote was fair and reasonable. I am a very happy customer!

I must add that the two crews pruning the tree on my yard and the neighbors yard were exceptional. They worked together as a crew and helped one another cleaning up the pruning mess. Again good crew and good work. I look forward in having the tree in my yard for another 50 years Ron

The price was very reasonable for the size of the willows. A crew of two arrived on the designated day, but found it was too windy to do the work. They returned the next day with two more guys and a "scissor lift" and the four of them were done by 2:30 PM. The scissor lift was a great bit of machinery and I would suspect not too many operators have one. Without it, my trees might not be done yet, thanks to the winds. Trees all look great. Clean up was good. Working with my grumpy neighbour was handled really well and she, too, is happy. Not only were they the low bid, but my wife loves the work they did. 5 Stars!!!

They were able to come the next day and left a detailed 2 page quote in our mailbox. The only thing that was missing was the cost to take away the wood. After reviewing quotes, we went with them and we also had a coupon to save $100 for over $500 quote. I asked how much it would be to remove the wood over the phone and was given a cost. We had to wait over a month as there was a recent storm so they got busier. I was told I would get a call the morning the crew would come to let me know what time they would be by. That didn't happen but we received a ring on the doorbell that morning. The crew lead confirmed the work and I asked if they could take away half of the wood. We were expecting the crew to let us know when they were done as there a few things that looked like they didn't do anything. They left the remaining wood close to the fence with some large pieces. I waited a few days before calling to ask about payment and the work I thought wasn't done but on the quote. The crew came back the same day and they rang the bell and I talked to them about one of the trees and a bush. They completed the work and then took a break by the house. I received an invoice in the mail about a week later and could send payment to the address or e-transfer funds. I would have preferred to pay by credit card to get benefits but not a major issue. Not a bad experience and would consider them again for yard work.

Access was available from both properties. Amanda assessed the tree in person, told us that the tree is accessible by their equipment (extension bucket) and that she will give us a quote. In 2 days' time, she sent us a quote for CAD 1200+GST by email. The description of the quote was generic and I quote it fully here: "Full prune/thin/shape/deadwood/clearances asneededHeight remains the same, unless otherwisespecified.1xLarge Maple BY(large canopy)(small zone/drag zone) 30% max live growth/mayneed some rigging or " " removal to grade, leave firewood on site$2500 plus GST stump grinding extra. Unit 1. Unit Cost 1200. Total 1200". I asked if she could make the work description more specific to describe the removal of the branches we were concerned with. Her email reply said the follows: "The work includes what is discussed. That's our description. This is typically for our online quoting. You would confirm scope with crew on site the day of." So my husband and I decided to go ahead with this quote, and sent an email asking for a booking and how much/how to pay the deposit. This is the exact email. "Amanda: Thank you, Let's proceed then. How much of a deposit do I pay and how do I do it. And let us get a booking in August. Thanks" I did not get a reply. After waiting a while, I called their office and asked for a booking. Then I got an email from Amanda that kind of floored me: "At this stage, we realize that we may not be the best company to support your needs. We do however appreciate you considering us regarding your tree services needs. Respectfully yours" I haven't the slightest clue as to what made her do this. Our email exchange was very normal and friendly. Did she get a bigger job and discarded us like garbage? Does she have an issue with clients seeking clarity and asking questions? We'll never know. Beware. If you might enjoy being treated this way, call this company by all means. I posted this review on a variety of sites. I can't believe this company's treatment of us. We are decent people, we always pay our bills, and we treat others well. This truly felt like a slap in the face. Shame on them.
