She arrived with a smile on her face, the food, and the setup. Being 9 women cousins meant a lot of talking and laughing. Jennifer jumped right in. She served us downstairs with the appetizers while we played a game and then called us up to the dining room when the dinner was ready to eat. We ordered our meal as a buffet. She had the table set and we just helped ourselves. The salmon was like none other.... out of the 9 of us, I am the only one who does not eat salmon. I ate the whole salmon fillet. I do not know what she did but every time I order salmon I will be comparing it to Jennifers'. The dinner was spectacular but the dessert was one I am still thinking about. Crepes with mascarpone cheese, poached pear with caramel drizzle. It was truly a wonderful experience and a dinner we will never forget. This was my first experience with a personal chef. Jennifer helped me through the whole process, from making up the menu, payment, no worry set up, and leaving the kitchen spotless. I can't imagine another chef doing anything more than Jennifer. TLDR: Unprofessional, not very gracious with mistakes and disorganized in the proposal process…read more I reached out to TBD Foods in the last week of September 2025 for a wedding in Denver in August 2026 after working with him in 2018. I am from Denver but live in CA currently and am planning from afar. Sent an incredibly detailed inquiry with day-of event timeline by hour, menu ideas, location (just a few blocks from their prep kitchen) and a bit about the event. Received two separate responses from he and his wife, Holly, seeking details already provided in my initial inquiry like guest count, location, time. Sent several emails back and forth clarifying capabilities, menu ideas, rentals etc. and finally had to set up a call in October (initiated by me after many proposal mistakes) to align. There was constant confusion regarding the style of the event and rentals - TBH, the many proposal revisions due to their mistakes maybe should have been the hint this might not be the best fit. But we went ahead! Terrence was late to the call on October 15 but let me know ahead of time and I genuinely didn't have an issue with it. After aligning, I paid $100 to have a menu tasting on Monday, December 22 when my husband and I would be visiting Denver from CA. So, this is a tasting that has been on the calendar for at least a month. When we arrived at our tasting (after confirming via email the week before and day of) 15 minutes before (6:45p) the scheduled time of 7pm, Terence is irate. Mistakenly, the event in my calendar was in PT (since we live in CA) instead of MT. He says that he refuses to serve us because we have "disrespected him and wasted his time and he has a 4-month-old at home." He continues to say that we are disorganized and lack care and that in addition to not offering a tasting, he will not put in the effort to cook for our wedding after how we've treated him. We are SUPER apologetic - this is something we've spent money on, confirmed via email and have been looking forward to. When asked why he didn't call to check on our arrival time, he said he "doesn't have my phone number. And you confirmed with Holly so that should have been enough." Because I filled out an entire inquiry on their website and spoke with him personally to schedule this tasting, it's BUCK WILD to say that you don't have my number and think sending an email is problem solving enough. We would have literally hopped in the car and been there in 15 minutes had we been given the courtesy of a phone call. All of this to say, we made a mistake, were very apologetic and were treated super rudely and given no tasting despite paying. 0/10 for TBD Foods.

We received Cozy Meal experience as a gift. We weren't sure what to expect. Inviting a stranger in…read moreour home to teach us cooking techniques while cooking a 5-course meal seemed so unorthodox. However, what a treat it was. Chef Alex was very friendly, and he adapted well to our kitchen area. We started with making a bolognese. Once that was in the oven, we made ricotta! It tasted amazing. I will be making it again. We roasted tomatoes and pancetta and enjoyed a delicious bruschetta with an arugula salad and a homemade vinaigrette. This was followed by making our own pasta, cooking it, and smothering it with the bolognese. For dessert, we enjoyed a caramel custard that tasted like werther's caramels. The whole menu is Chef Alex's own creation. This was a meal we would order at a nice restaurant. Very delicious and now we can make it at home for ourselves. I also want to add that my 9 year old granddaughter joined in on the fun. Chef Alex was very patient with her and took extra time to explain the process with her. I didn't expect her to eat much of the meal, but she ate some of all of it, including the arugula salad. Overall, we were very pleased and would do it again thanks to Chef Alex.

I also appreciate that he gave me a full credit for what I had spent on the class to be able to try them again with another class. I am very pleased with this solution, and can only add that I suggest they prioritize training their customer service team to be more solutions oriented in the future, and to avoid simply not responding to their customers. This solution is what I was hoping for the whole time, just had to wait two months to get it. ------------------------- This service is a joke. You are better off booking with the venue hosting the cooking classes directly. I had purchased this class as a Christmas present for my partner and I. I chose an "Exciting Spanish Meal" after reviewing all of the options available. CozyMeal confirmed details numerous times before the class. When we arrived, we weren't cooking the meal that I had booked, it was actually a French meal (all of the components I had already cooked myself numerous times so this wasn't much of a class for me). I let the chef know we had signed up for a different class and he said it must be a glitch with the CozyMeal system, as that venue had the French class booked that night for months prior. I contacted CozyMeal customer service the next day and they said they were escalating my issue, whatever that means. I was shuffled around between three different customer service members, all saying they were waiting for an update. I didn't hear back for two weeks so I inquired again if there were any updates, they said they were still waiting. I contacted twice more for follow up after that, one a week after, one three weeks after, and still to this day have not received another email or any communication or "updates" from CozyMeal. My class was January 12th and it is now March 27th and I have not received any further communication from them. These classes are not cheap, I spent $89 per person for a class I did not sign up for, that was of no value to me at all. That is why I said book with the venue directly instead of CozyMeal, at least you will have peace of mind of where your money is getting spent, and won't get ignored by customer service after spending $180 on a class you have no idea if you will actually get to take.
