Okay, I have tried a little of some of their other stuff - I've had a bit of some kind of pasta which my mother ordered when I was younger, but I've never ordered anything but the potato here myself before. It's not to say that their baked potatoes are amazing - they're actually a hit-or-miss, but when they are a hit, they're pretty good. I usually either go for sour cream baked potato when I'm feeling a little plain Jane, or for the smoked salmon and egg salad one when I feel a little hungrier. When I say that they're a hit or miss, it's because sometimes, the potatoes are served freshly baked and steaming hot, so all is well, but sometimes, it's served just warm, making the taste of the potato quite underwhelming. In my opinion, a baked potato that's eaten just warm is a baked potato that's wasted. There's no fun in eating a baked potato that's only at room temperature. But on the occasions where the stars are all aligned and the universe has decided to cut you a break - i.e. the potato is served hot, it tastes really, really good. The sour cream is cold so it tastes great against the hot potato. The smoked salmon and egg salad one is actually better in my opinion, though they're quite skimpy with the smoked salmon - expect tiny pieces, and not a lot of them too. The egg salad tastes pretty good and there's an even mix between the whites and yolks. Overall, it's hard to say that the potatoes here are amazing because sometimes they're served at room temperature and therefore not so good. I don't have much to say about the other items on the menu, of course, but since this is kind of a fast food place I wouldn't expect things like the pastas and the sandwiches to be fantastic.

My friend recommended we meet here and bless here for recommending this place because this area of "Little Tai Hang" is super interesting and not visited much by tourists. The area is full of mechanic and automotive repair shops mixed in with cool restaurants and art galleries. It wasn't crowded at all compared to an area like TST and I will definitely be coming back to explore more. We started by meeting here and I like the ambiance and how quick the service was. Beef Pasties: A big more fancy than the kind you would find on the street in the UK. Bef filling was amazing and I liked how thin and proportional the crust was. It's also brushed in butter and baked so it has a very deep and enticing color. Iced Coffee: So refreshing on a hot, humid day. Coffee was great and had a mild and gentle flavor.

It is located about a block away from the street corners mentioned above and my husband and I thought it was a worthy place to stop in for a late lunch. We walked in around 2pm on a Friday and had missed the lunch crowds. We specifically had wanted to go to this spot for it being a vegetarian establishment and everyone on this earth (including us) could hazard to get more greens into their daily diet. Veggie SF spin on this is that with so many outbreaks in the world of listeria and other animal based diseases that have made it into the human food chain, eating vegan is the right choice to avoid all this. Early reviews mentioned a busy lunch hour and a surely staff, but this was quite the opposite of our experience when we went at 2pm (In Hong Kong, if you are with the 3 million people in about a two square mile radius that is trying to eat lunch, this is just a consequence of your environment...it is what it is and nobody should be shocked when an eatery is busy at lunchtime). We had a delicious meal and were impressed with the creativity the menu choices (spinach oyster puried soup was scrumptous!), weekly rotation of some new items on the menu (the mock chicken skewer was so good, you could not have known the difference from the real thing), the visual feast of "circa 1960 decor meets San Francisco neighborhood cool" to keep your eyes busy while you are sitting there (we especially loved the SF 49er display!) and loved seeing the owner there on sight. Everyone should eat more greens. Make it easy and fun for yourself and your family by disguising those greens binto the creative meals at VeggieSF. We will be back.

I went with a burger in the end. It was beetroot based center and came with small side of salad and pumpkin and potato wedges. Salad was good, with a light yummy dressing. The burger I was surprisingly impressed with, usually veggie burgers are more of a miss for me. I thought the beetroot was made to a texture really similar to mince beef - very yummy. The wedges though was more of a miss. It still looked grilled from the outside, but when you bite into it, it tastes like it was boiled. I think the kitchen might've done a shortcut in grilling their veg! Overall great experience, service was very friendly too. I cam here specifically on a mission to try the Just Scramble, a product that we can't get in North America yet. It's a plant based "egg" and it did not disappoint. I've tried VeganEgg and other vegan egg products but they've all been terrible, but this was definitely passable. The egg was delicious and I liked how it was incorporated with some Beyond Meat crumble which made it that much better. It was hard to taste the egg alone since it was very seasoned but it was delicious nevertheless. I also tried the bao buns which were good, but not as good as the scramble. I thought the bun was a bit dry but the filling was meaty and definitely fulfilled my craving for meat. On the way out I picked up some vegan gummies and treats (from Europe I believe) and they were amazing. Slightly sad that a lot of the items in the store come from so far away but I think if the trend catches on this issue should be fixed. I enjoyed my experience dining and shopping at Green Common and left feeling satisfied mentally and tummy-wise.

My salad was mixed greens, dragonfruit, cucumber, tomato, avocado and carrot shreds. Everything looked fresh, not dry, wilted, dehydrated. It was dressed with something that tasted like balsamic vinegar. My entree of choice was buckwheat pizza. It was a mini piece of buckwheat flatbread (Indian style), topped with vegetables, including eggplant. Side was raw, tangy cauliflower which tasted very nice.
