We love Green Cleaners. My husband really likes the friendly owners and the work they do for us. He's a bit fussy & has tried most of the other local cleaners in our area. Routinely, he takes Green Cleaners his suits & dress shirts. I've started sending them my more delicate blouses that have fussy pleats and sweaters with inevitable spots that they've always been able to remove (hope I didn't jinx it). We've also taken our king comforters & plush blankets to them after knocking our washer off balance doing them at home. They come back so soft! The owners are both really friendly & helpful. We feel like treasured customers - a rare feeling nowadays! read more

Very dishonest people. Couldn't understand a word of the shoe repair man!Wanted to charge me $25 for a shoe shine and $30 to add hooks to the zippers of my boots. Paid $12 at the 'shoes repair pro and lydia's' for the shine and the boots hooks were free. read more

I have been going to Green Cleaners for over four years. I wear a suit to work everyday so they get a lot of my business. I have also had them clean my overcoats and do alterations on various pieces. I admittedly have tried several other cleaners in the area to see how they operated and specifically how they pressed shirts. Green Cleaners has always performed the best. Their alterations can be a bit pricey, but they are always done well and worth the extra few bucks. The owners are very nice and have always treated me very well. I am not discounting the other reviews posted by customers, but I would say that those negative experiences are well below the norm. read more

Another issue with Trust here. Wife dropped off 5 shirts - got receipt for 5 shirts. Later that night cleaners calls and says they only have 4. The wife explains she left five and even gave them the colors - owner just said would not clean until she came and looked. I was not sure what she would look at - even if there were 4 we had slip showing we dropped off five. She told owner she would look around the house and back in the car just to double check it wasn't still in the car. It wasn't and the shirt was not in the closet hanging to be worn. I went up the next day to explain. The owner was very hostile and said "Maybe wife cannot count". I wasn't happy with such a remark but kept trying to explain that we had what was basically a contract in my hand that says 5 and we needed to come up with a solution. He than says "Your shirts so big maybe just looks like 5". I admit I am a pretty good sized guy but again just bit my lip and continued. Finally he says "don't know English enough - don't know contract - won't do your clothes" and threw the four shirts that were still there back at me. I tried to explain it didn't have to be this way as overall the work they do there is good and they are convenient. He picked up phone and called Herndon police to have me removed from the store. I took my slip and his copy and left - not worth hassle for a $30 shirt - but I'll post reviews were ever I can to help out anyone else who may consider going here. read more

Do not go here!!! This place is the absolute worst if you care at all about professionalism, customer service and respect. Let's begin with the bad and finish with the ugly. I've been here a few times only because it was more convenient. I brought a pair of shorts in because one of the buttons from the cargo pocket fell off. I asked the bad attitude guy who's always there to remove a button from the back pocket and exchange it on the visible cargo pocket. During this trip I also gave them a pair of black slacks to get shortened. Anyways, when they were ready I picked up the clothing and in a rush I just went home. That was my first mistake. Always try everything on before you leave because they don't know what they're doing. So, a day or so later I try on the shorts and when I go to button the waist there's no button and they fall to my ankles. These people actually removed the critical waist button and used that button to remedy my pocket request. Really?? Then I try the pants on and they're not shortened enough. I guess running a place of business doesn't automatically qualify you as a professional in that line of work. Who in there right mind would remove the waist button? The next day I go back, and even though I was pretty annoyed at the situation I walked in with a pleasant demeanor. "Excuse me, it looks like there has been a mistake." The dude looks at the shorts and tells me it's my fault and he just did what I said. Okay??? Then I tell him the pants are too short also. He proceeds to look at the pants and then looks at me, "Liar!" You are Lying." Apparently, the pants weren't shortened the way that he shortens so he thinks I was lying and somebody else did the alteration. Yeah dude, that's what I do, I go to random tailors and try to trick them into shortening my pants by telling them their work wasn't done correctly. Anyways, then he wants to charge me to change them. At this point I asked for the manager/owner and he said come back the next day around noon. I come back the next day to speak with the "manager" who he said was a lady. So, a lady comes up but doesn't say she's the manager. Then I ask for the manager because I've been offended on my last trip and I need to explain it to somebody. Then that mean dude comes creeping out of the back. Bottom line, if this is the type of experience that works for you, go right ahead and deal with these people. If not, stay clear at all cost. read more

Able to get a lipstick stain out of my wedding dress quickly and without problem before my wedding. Definitely will be back.

I had gone to Green Cleaners for about four years when my work location changed. I started trying out new places in Ashburn that were closer to work, but after stained shirts and clothes gone missing, I'm going out of my way by 20 minutes to keep using Green Cleaners. The husband and wife who run the store are very hard working honest people. While they may not speak much English, they are very warm people and always reliably take good care to ensure nothing is lost and everything is cleaned without damage. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I would give them zero if it was a choice. When you call their number it never goes through. Then I stopped in and asked what makes their dry cleaning organic and he couldn't give me any explanation and wouldn't show me the solution that they used. Then he said it was up to me if I didn't trust them. There definitely has to be a legitimate organic dry cleaning place around, I wouldn't waste my time! read more

Horrible!! In simple plain words, this place is horrible. My first time to this place, and absolutely the last one. While giving my shirts, I clearly mentioned a couple of food spots on couple of shirts, and he did not bother to put tape or any mark at the spots, even when I suggested he should. I asked how would he remember otherwise where the spots were. He ignored that completely as if he knew he was not going to bother cleaning them. At the time of pick-up, I was not surprised to see the spots as they were before. It was very obvious that he did not bother to clean them at all. When I showed my dis-satisfaction, he was so rude, and he threatened to call police straightaway. He was just ready to fight. OMG. What a horrible experience!! Never seen a person running his business like that. Conclusion: Never again for me to that place even if he does it for free. read more

I just moved to the area and was looking for a place that not only fixes shoes but also tailored clothes. This place worked great. I got a pair of pants re-hemed, and two pairs of shoes fixed all for less than $50. So much cheaper than buying new. I had these beautiful black books, love them, they are my favorite and not only did they fix the heels but fixed up the scratches and scuffs as well as where some of the leather had been worn down. They look almost new. read more

They found my comforter! Not that they ever called me back or answered my emails- I had to keep going back till they were open again and then like magic my comforter was there on the shelf. But...I asked for it to be washed, as in soap and water, but I think it was dry cleaned instead. Horrible chemical smell, I had an allergic reaction. Had to re clean somewhere else. Whole thing was too much of an ordeal for me, won't go back. read more

The lack of speaking any English makes this place tough to review as a lot of his mistakes are because he doesn't understand. But I will give my experience. To get shirts ironed was really simple. I dumped them off in a bag and collected a few days later. I believe around $1.79 per shirt? Usually when he asks when to be collected I reply with "Whenever, no rush" but mistakenly last time I went I said "ooh I'm off Friday, I can stop by then" not realising it was Thursday. So he charged me extra for 'next day'. It's annoying, as if he understood English he would have easily realised my mistake and I would have just picked them up Monday. So to summarise I have not had any experience of them stealing or loosing shirts, but it's always a struggle to understand what he is asking and for him to know what I want that I would never go there for anything more complicated than just dropping shirts off. I'm going to give worldgate a try next, see if they are any cheaper too! read more

I'm pretty surprised to see some of these reviews about rude or slow service. I not only find them to be supremely professional and courteous, but they also did an exceptional and fast job for me recently. I haven't been on a job interview in 3 years and when I pulled out my one suit recently to prepare for one, I discovered that I've put on a couple of pounds since then. The pants were too tight a fit. This was 2 days before my interview! I took the suit here and asked if they could alter the pants and she's like "no problem... when would you like it". I said "tomorrow?", expecting to be disappointed but again "no problem". She did an exceptional job with the alterations! The pants fit perfectly, the suit was excellently cleaned and pressed and they were extremely nice and courteous when I picked it up! It was one of the best experiences I've ever had with a cleaners. I plan to give them all of my business from now on! Folks who were disappointed before should give them another try. read more

Do NOT bring your things here! Dropped off 3 rugs to be cleaned, wanting to use a place that doesn't use harsh chemicals. Only after 4 weeks, and still no rugs returned, did the guy confess that they send their rugs away to PA to be cleaned. Could not confirm that this mystery company uses enviro friendly cleaning methods. The company in question also apparently "misplaced" my rugs. The cleaners kept telling me "next week" I could pick up the rugs. After five weeks went by, I told him I no longer one of the rugs I had brought in. Miraculously, it appeared the next week and I paid for it. More than NINE WEEKS after bringing them in did rugs 2 and 3 appear, again, miraculously AFTER I told the cleaners that if I didn't have them by that day, he would owe me $80 for the rugs. Then I discovered that they didn't clean 1 of them at all (the guy didn't charge me for that) and the 2nd was "cleaned" quite poorly. At this point, any good businessman would have apologized up one side and down the other and also offered a steep discount or even to return my rug for free, since I was not satisfied. Instead he demanded I pay full price. Only after I threatened to report him to the BBB, did he offer a 1/3 discount on the one "cleaned" rug. He was rude, unapologetic and knows nothing about satisfying customers. I also promised I would post bad reviews online and even then he had no remorse. Colossal jerk and terrible businessman; avoid at all costs! read more
