The hard cover in my truck bed started flapping. I was in desperate need for an Allen wrench to tighten it up before it came off. I saw this hardware store on the map but it showed closed. I called anyway just in case that was old info. To my surprise, someone answered. I asked if they were open and she (I never did catch her name) said no... but if I needed something, she was there and would open for me! I was shocked. I went there, and sure enough, she opened for me, helped find what I needed then locked up again. She told me she's not always there on Sunday's but is very often considering she's the owner! So we were in there constantly for paint,plumbing and electrical supplies,tools, yard decorations etc. Also many many propane fill ups for our BlackStone grills and our toy hauler. So my point is we were regulars in buying from them. So when we spent over $200.00 dollars on our golf cart battery we figured they were local and just higher on things. Fast forward to today 9/9/25 at 9:30am when I returned to the store after a rude employee telling me on Monday he didn't do warranty's and come back so I came back today. Talking to the owner and a gentleman today they told me that they were sorry I'd lost my receipt in all that I'd bought there in the past almost 2 years but they couldn't help me and the battery code that it was made in June 23 and probably shipped to them in August 23 and our purchase in Oct 23 would be out of warranty. It's unfortunate that trust with a loyal customer means nothing when you as a customer put up with over charges and hit or miss assistance from employees or the fact that they don't stand behind a trusted brands hassle free warranty stated on the product with date codes. Sadly they lost our business as we owned our own companies prior to our retiring and thats not how we did warranty work or customer service. Now we will drive farther just to get better service rather than doing business with them anymore.

Wow!! I have never been treated so poorly in a store in my 55 years of life. I went into get some…read morestain samples put on a board. first I was told by Jim they couldn't help me because they had a truck come in with a big order. I was told to come back in the afternoon. I returned in the afternoon, when I walked in I was given a dirty look by Jim and asked were I buy my paint. Insinuating he didn't want to help me because I don't buy paint there or spend enough money there. After an argument he reluctantly helped me. I tried to smooth things over and explain to him that we do buy items from the store just not paint and that we even have an account set up there. Jim's response was well use it then and not in a nice way. I don't go in there daily but I go in there enough to know that his name is Jim and the owners name is Bob. Obviously we will never use this hardware store again in the future.

This one is still in Roscommon county but is on the way to Higgins lake. By far the BEST against the others I mentioned. Not only are the hardware and home improvement sections larger but there's also a great selection of gardening, camping, fishing and beach equipment! So literally the selection caters to all Higgins lake and KOA visitors in the area! Don't pass this place by for a last minute purchase this summer they have it all with a good price and fantastic service!
