This place was a little off-putting. They have a lot of nice stuff, pretty pricey stuff mostly. I…read moredid like all the Willow Tree Angels and had never seen WT Angel cards before. I decided to by one for $3.50 or so but they have a $5 minimum for credit cards and I like to use my card, partly because of the good receipts I get while travelling and also for the record of purchases that come with my bill. So I grabbed another WT card to meet the minimum. The cards are pretty, though.

A northern Michigan treasure. I love this store. So many interesting things to buy here, including…read moreplenty of Northern Michigan gear. They carry a lot of Pendleton items, which are not cheap, but worth the cost. You can drop a lot of money here easily, but it's a nice store with great customer service and selection. Yep, $300 for a Pendleton throw blanket might seem steep, but the quality is great. I like the stock, for the most part, high quality items with hallmarks of good craftsmanship. They have an interior design/art studio/home furnishings area in the back. If I had a home on the lake up here- and I definitely want to buy one eventually- I know that my wife and I would be up here shopping to decorate and furnish it all the time. Her and I always walk out of here wanting to buy everything they have. It's a great store. They also sell Vera Bradley handbags, jewelry, men's and women's clothing and leather products, most of it of high quality.

It was way hotter than I'd estimated and I wanted to buy a cooler shirt without leaving downtown. I said I didn't really need a new shirt in general, just wanted something cooler than the top I had on. The new owner said, "Well, in that case, I just put some cute new tops on the clearance rack." So thoughtful! She even came over to help me find ones in my size and pointed out the best deals. I bought a soft, pretty blue Columbia tank top that I've ended up wearing all the time. Great experience. I will definitely be back. They have SO much cool gear!

Gary was very honest about the gear he sells and doesn't try to push the highest price gear, he leans more towards good quality at a good price. Thanks Gary

I followed a billboard off the freeway to this little trailer of toys and I needed gas anyway. I…read morefigured if the place is good enough to have a billboard it must be epic. Besides, it's in the middle of nowhere so it must be cheap. I was wrong on both accounts. I must apologize for the crappy photo I took, but I felt like a real pervert taking photos in the dirt lot which houses this little gem. It really is a trailer.. without windows and a grate door. They offer tattooing in what is probably their bookkeeping office. The front desk lady seemed nice enough, but the products were nothing to write home about and the overall vibe was creepy. The extensive selection of videos were more of the 1980's vintage and the toys depressing crutches for bad lovers instead of spicy additions to bedroom theatrics. For example, they had penis extenders, thigh dildos and a variety of pumps, but no fun stuff a normal healthy couple might enjoy. The best part was watching what the cut off plaid shirted guys were buying on a Wednesday afternoon between blue collar jobs or their way to the lake. I giggled a little inside as they looked at the love gloves (love mittens?) and prolonging creams. I felt like a real spy peeping over the partitions and around oversized french maid outfits to see what these backwoods creatures preferred. Overall, I am proud to be the first to review this because it does have its own billboard, but I have never seen an adult store quite so creepy and I don't really get creeped out by this stuff. I really don't know how I feel about getting a tattoo here either. I can only guess it is the perfect place to get your girlfriend's name tattooed on you as an apology for getting drunk and "making friends" with her mom in your double wide.

Thanks, I will be back if I need another appliance. I bought this at the West Branch, MI, store; glad they opened one in our community.

It's a middle of the road, slightly overpriced tourist destination in Tawas.. and f you need a quick souvenir or fudge etc, it's probably somewhere you stop if you have kids or are with others and everyone has different tastes but they aren't into shopping in every gift shop downtown.. I bought a t shirt here but most of the gifts or souvenirs are overpriced and not particularly interesting to me. It's not my cup of tea in the realm of tourist gift shops (I prefer more nice or boutique), but it'll suffice.. Service is ok, prices high, selection is on par with most northern Michigan gift emporiums.

They have many items that are priced lower, as well as high. I bought a beautiful wooden cheese board set for $10, ceramic car coasters for $3.50 and a regular ceramic coasters for $5. Other stores had these for double the price. I'm heading back today for more gifts.
