The left front brakes on my motorhome overheated the hub inside the front left tire, which set off the tire pressure monitoring system. The system monitors pressure and temperature.
I pulled the motorhome over and sat for a while, waiting for the hub to cool down. It was very hot to the touch. I thought it was going to catch fire!
A good Samaritan stopped by and asked if he could help. After I described the problem, he recommended I visit Greeley's Auto & Tire to have them check the tire and brakes. Greeley's was only 6 miles away, so I called them. Great guy answered the phone and said to bring the motorhome over and they'd take a look. So I drove to Greeley's.
They immediately took a look at the front left brakes, diagnosed the problem, recommended that I be sure to drop gears going downhill, and to visit a Freightliner or other qualified service provider. No charge!
I gave the fellow who looked at the brakes and diagnosed the problem a $30 tip. He was worth $300!
Bottom line... I highly recommend Greeley's for auto & tire service. Great service and great guys, too. read more
