Disappointing. I had surgery there several years ago by Dr. Greek for a deviated Septum. I was not happy with the offset of the nose, or a new "bump" in the nose either. He said not to worry, that it would get better. Well it never did. I since have seen other ENTs and they have comment on my deviated septum. I recently had another surgery to fix what Dr. Greek did. My surgeon even commented that I was lucky he was "not an expert surgeon" as he left a lot of cartilage in the nose that was broken, whereas most other doctors would have removed it. By Dr. Greek leaving it, it saved me having to have a graft, however this should never have been needed had Dr. Greek fixed my nose the right way the first time. Other than his skills at surgery being sub-par and making matters worse, the office staff was nice and friendly And... im not a yelper with a couple reviews and only posts when I'm pissed... I have lots and believe in being fair, but having to have a 2nd surgery to fix the first, is annoying and costly! read more

DONT GO HERE! Less than 1 star is a more accurate rating. I've been having hearing issues for quite some time. Had previously had a hearing aid but after several years of use it finally quit working. My primary doctor gave me a referral for this place. Upon arrival first fill out 10 pages of paper work. Wait an hour and then get a hearing test. The hearing tester. Michael D. Schmitt Au.D. gave the test. He immediately gave me the results. He agreed that I needed hearing aids. After this Mr. Schmitt entered it to what was a obvious programed hard sales pitch. He ran down all politicians, (some he identified by name) insurance companies, insurance company hearing aid providers, Costco, Walmart and anyone and everyone that had anything to do with providing hearing aids. He then explained how he had a "once in a lifetime deal" for me. No equipment from China, the best available. I have to pay him $2000 for a pair up front before he makes a bulk purchase for a few selected customers. He gave me his business card and wrote COVID 2K on the back of the card. I pulled out my wallet to place his business card in it. Well since I buy and sell items on the Marketplace and Craig's List as a part time venture I had about $5000 cash on me right then. So much I could hardly get my wallet out of my pocket because it didnt want to fold in half. This money was exposed when I pulled it out. Perhaps he saw this cash and thought I was going to pay him. I asked him if he had any providers that accepted my insurance for part of the cost, his whole attitude then changed. He acted angry and more or less indicated that I wasnt listening to the information he just gave me. Said he doesn't deal with insurance companies He told me that if I wasnt interested, there was a long line of people waiting for this great opportunity! I left his office. I then saw the hearing doctor. I told him that his hearing tester is like a used car salesman. His high pressuring sales pitch would make persons not want to come back to this office. He assured me that he was not getting a kickback from any sales the hearing tester makes. He looked in my ears and it was a painful exam. He twisted the device almost sideways in my ear and didnt have much to say other then the left ear is worst then the right. My primary Dr. gave a better description of the condition of my ear drums then this specialist. With no pain involved.. He wrote me a prescription for hearings aids and gave me a copy of my hear test results. I was quite disappointed by my experience at this office. Their main purpose was to have me give them 2000 cash for some sight unseen, no mentioned brand, hearing aids. I pity any person that was more trusting that would get taken advantage of and shellacked by this fellow. Now Dr. Greek did not do any hard sale tactic on me. He did say that I can go any place I prefer to buy hearing aids and did not promote Mr. Shimitts suggested purchase. But by having this hearing tester located in your office, that most patients see first, and receive this high pressured sales pitch before seeing the ENT specialist, he is in turn responsible for his behavior. It reflects badly on him and his office. I guess that's why his overall review rating is 2.6. Don't go here. Find another provider! read more

She took my id and medical card. I Paid my copay. And Was asked to go sit and said they'd be right with me. 10 mins later I was called to the back by friendly smiling staff. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!! If I could have given a minus 10 stars, I would've! This "Dr." Greek (ENT) has the worst bedside manner, that I have EVER encountered!!! This office has no restrooms for patients, there was a sign on the door before you enter the office to make you aware!!! I was treated with a terrible blatant disregard from both the person on staff that answered the phone, when I tried to make an appointment (my Primary Care Doctor's office eventually had to make the appointment for Me, since it was Urgent and I was unable to make an Appointment) and by Dr. Greek, himself. My husband and I waited in a uncomfortably warm, over populated waiting room (during a pandemic) with standing being the only other option for my husband, when we finally got back to see the doctor (after a 30-40 minute wait, even though we had made sure that we arrived early), the doctor entered the room asked Me 1 question, said that he would refer Me to another specialist and then he said with a smug response (without any consulting or examination) your all done here, Goodbye. I am only posting this, so that no other human being is treated with this unbelievable blatant disregard, ever again! I took my mother in recently because of a condition in her mouth. After 45 minutes waiting, her name was called. Sixty seconds later she came out. The shortest visit ever. He told her that her condition could be resolved with estrogen. So she went back to her doctor who said estrogen is no longer proscribed due to the fact it is know to cause cancer. read more

I'm rating 5 stars from Our experience. My Daughter was referred to Dr. Greek by her primary because she has a slight Nasal Septum Deviation. Due to the reviews here I decided to request another Specialist. We did however find Doctor Greek professional and polite. The staff was young and treated us just fine but I can see why some others would have issues. I do feel Dr. Greek may need to review his staff more closely to who's representing him on the phone and on arrival. Daughter is a runner and has a hard time breathing through her nose. We brought her to Dr. Greek to examine her condition. After waiting forever, we finally were able to see him. However, after starting the diagnosis process, he suddenly left the room and came back 10 minutes later and then acted as if he wasn't just there. We decided to schedule the surgery anyway. Never saw him before the surgery and never saw him after the surgery. Absolutley zero follow up In addition, my daughter has the same problem she had before...no improvement. I was never a patient of Dr Greek. His associate did a procedure on me and it went great. Now a Year later I get a bill from Dr. Greek for $2500.... never seen this bill before...no explanation of what it is for, what the DR supposedly did, or any info. Just a THREAT to destroy my credit if I did not make payment arrangements with them. Doctors are suppose to offer compassionate care...... but this is more like extortion .... isn't it?? The Receptionists & Staff are Completely RUDE !!! My Son had gone to Dr. Greek for weeks to Cauterize his Nose in Office for weeks for Nose Bleeds. It helped but then his Nose Bleeds came back so Dr. Greek said my Son would need Nose Surgery. My Son Never got a call back I called and left a message. Dr. Greek Staff said they called my son on his Cell Phone but they never did. When I called back they then said his Surgery was going to be is for Oct 31, 2019, We called a week Oct 25th, 2019 & asked what time my son has to be at the Surgery place, on Oct 31st, 2019 ?? His Staff said the Surgery place does not call you and tell you information until 1 day before I told them my son works out of town he needs to know what time the Surgery is going to be ?? They said the information is 1 day before. I then said Ok Good Luck !!! Dr. Greek Receptionists & Staff asked is your son going to be at the Surgery ?? I said Good Luck The Receptionists & Staff Called my Son on his Cell Phone and told him that his mother was Harassing Dr. Greek, I never talked to the Dr. it was his Receptionists & Staff and I was asking for the Time that my son had been at Surgery on Oct 31st, 2019, they said to my son his Surgery was Canceled !!! Dr. Greek, looking over the Reviews I see other people have had problems with YOUR Receptionists & STAFF !!! My son was referred by his pediatrician to see Dr. Carl Greek for chronic ear infection. Getting in was easy as soon as I said he had a PPO for insurance. Dr. saw him and everything was fine. He recommended tubes to be put in. I waited a week for a call from the surgery scheduler/manager . After not getting a call back I called and left a message. I NEVER received a call back in regards to his procedure being scheduled. The schedulers VM message even states to not leave multiple messages in regards to schedule and that this would only push back our procedure. Well its been 5 months and still nothing. Of course I took my son somewhere else after a month of not hearing back. I'm writing this review because I received a bill. I called to speak to management and again no answer. I was referred to Doctor Greek's office by my Doctor. I went in, was seen by the Dr. Greek for only 5 minutes, and he had me st up for allergy tests. OK, fine. I went through two sessions of those and one more visit with Doctor Greek. Again, he was in and out so fast, I didn't have time to ask any questions. Afterwards, I was told it was going to take two weeks before my allergy shots started. That should have started before last Christmas. Two days ago I called to find out what was going on. The person I talked to said she would get back to me, but didn't. I called today and the same person said they would call me back when my allergy shot prescription came in. I'm hoping it was the holidays that was the cause of the mix-up and not their normal procedures. read more

We came here on a referral from the pediatrician (Dr. Pumphrey) regarding my daughter's ears. Dr. Greek spent all of two seconds looking in my daughters ears before declaring that she needed tubes put in asap. He did not ask about her past medical history or anything, and this was just her first ear infection. He then walked out of the room and said to go to the desk to schedule. I had no idea we were even done with the appointment as I did not get to ask any questions. I had to have one of the nurses call him back just so I could ask simple questions about the procedure. So I'm writing this review not only on Dr.Greek, but also his staff at the temecula office. Dr.Greek removed my tonsils and while he did a good job on my surgery, I didn't see him before going into surgery nor did I see him after. He didn't even bother to reassure my family that my surgery went well. I had a complication after my surgery and I called his emergency line as I was bleeding from my throat into my stomach to try and get some advice on how to stop the bleeding and no one answered. I ended up going to the emergency room and paying out of pocket because I wasn't able to stop the bleeding. Now for his staff, I entrusted that they would send off my disability papers so I get paid since I was out of work for 3 weeks and they failed to have done that, so when my mom went to go pick up the papers from his office they locked the door on her and were laughing in her face! Completely and utterly ridiculous! My mom felt humiliated. Get your shit together Greeks office! read more

Absolutely horrible. We had the complete opposite experience of Kim R. Do not even consider entrusting this so called doctor with your care, let alone your children's care. Based on Dr. Pumphrey's referral, I took my son to see Greek because he was able to squeeze us in last minute to get my son's injured nose evaluated. Greek told us that he couldn't tell if his nose was broken unless he puts him "under" and actually tries to manipulate it. In other words, he would need to initiate the surgery to see if he is able to move the bones to determine if they need to be fixed with further surgery or not. He went so far as to say that taking an ex-ray wouldn't really help to determine if the bridge of our sons nose was broken, because of the way the soft tissue is. That doesn't even make any sense. At this point my BS meter started beeping. The more I thought about this, the more I realized it was complete BS. I had a broken nose, and I had surgery to repair it, so I know how to tell if the bone is broken or if there is just tissue damage. In my sons case I was almost 100% sure that the bone was not broken, and I am now 100% sure that Greek cannot be trusted. Here's the worst part of the whole thing. Since they were making it sound like our son might need 2 separate surgeries if the bone turned out to be broken, we started asking questions about the surgery, to find out if there did turn out to be a problem requiring a second surgery, if we would be required to pay for 2 full surgeries or if they would be able to perform the second surgery at no extra cost or a reduced rate for Greeks portion of it. At this point, they became agitated and refused to do the surgery, which they claimed he needed, and already had scheduled for the next day. So we took our son to see 2 other doctors to get other opinions and both were completely opposite of Greek. One was an urgent care doctor who said he couldn't tell conclusively if our sons nose was broken without an xray, which they could not do at the time because their xray tech was not in. The other Doctor is Dr. Alexis D. Furze, a reputable doctor with only 5 star reviews on yelp and healthgrades.com, that specializes in nose surgery for repairing injuries and also for plastic surgery. He told my wife, that my sons nose is not broken, that the septum is deviated, but that it isn't bad enough to require surgery at this point. And even if it was bad enough to require surgery, he would not do it now at the age of ten. He said that we would want to wait until he is 15-16 because he is still growing, and doing surgery now, could possibly make his nose stop growing!!! Who do you think is telling the truth, the ones that don't stand to gain anything, and are saving us from doing unnecessary surgery on our son, and saving us a ton of money? Or the one who stands to profit by performing an unnecessary surgery? After all this, and seeing all the bad reviews for Greek, my wife called Dr. Humphrey's office to let them know what happened, and ask why in the world they would give us a referral to someone like that. The person my wife spoke with apologized, and explained that the referral is not a personal referral due to Humphrey's good opinion of Greek, but that in reality, they have a contract with another institution that requires them to refer patients to Greek. She recommended that we call that institution to file a formal complaint against Greek, and went on to explain, after he gets enough complaints, he will get booted out of that institution, and they won't have to recommend him anymore. Consider yourself forewarned. read more

I visited him 3 times for chronic sinusitis. After 2 visits and a CT scan, he said, "I don't know why this keeps happening", and his only alternative to me was to send me to an allergist (who has recently determined I do not have allergies.) He didn't check for a bacterial infection, fungal infection, didn't discus flushing my sinuses out daily, steroids, antibiotics, nothing. He just said he didn't know and sent me on my way. SO UNPROFESSIONAL! If you need a referral done by this office good luck getting it done! They take their sweet time even when you tell them a PET scan shows possible cancer and that you need that referral done asap for a biopsy. They don't care! Also, An appointment was made with this office and when calling the day ahead to confirm they had no record they ever made the appointment. The doctor is in and out, barely says a word, asked. if he needed to look at the PET scan CD that radiologists noted " possible lymphoma" he said"NO." ???? Then wanted to just schedule surgery and do a biopsy without reviewing the PET scan findings. I'm Canceling further appointments and finding a new doctor! We wait so long to see a doctor and in this case a specialist so I'd like to think we would get more than 1 minute with the doctor. We first saw Kalkanis and I did not like him at all, he was very condescending and acted like my questions were stupid. We were happy the second time with Greek and so we requested him specifically this time around. Well imagine my disappointment when he pulled a Kalkanis! If they are so inundated with patients then that is their fault for overbooking! He told me the fluid from my daughter's ears crusted around her tubes and that was the end of that. He said to make an appt to get a hearing test done. I expressed my concerns about her ear infection (that caused the drainage) and he quickly corrected me "HAD an ear infection" I mean DUH! I was definitely hesitant after reading the reviews. My daughter needed an ENT for her tonsils to be removed. Dr. Kalkanis was her doctor and I really liked that he listened to me and was willing to be more conservative before jumping into surgery as the first option. Unfortunately, after many attempts she needed her tonsils removed. I was very pleased with the outcome of her surgery and his bedside manner was good. However, his office staff is just ok. They don't make you feel welcomed, aren't so nice either. They constantly messed my daughter's name up. I don't think I ever saw a smile. Also when I went to get a school note the lady I need it from is found gossiping (3 times) and so I had to go to front window where I get eye rolls because I'm bothering her to do someone else's job. Oh and she wrote my daughters name wrong on the school note too! Irritating! It's just annoying to me that if you have a good doctor, your sacrifice is the staff and vice versa. He listened to me, wrote notes, did a diagnostic test (which I was super nervous about), and encouraged me not to be nervous. Totally recommend Dr. Greek!! Had an outpatient procedure done and it couldn't have been any better! I was prescribed pain medicine after and didn't even need to use it. Nearly 10 years ago Dr. Greek removed my adenoids. I found him to want to do more extensive surgery, remov ing the turbenates as well although another doctor had counseled against it. Rushed me out and didn't explain anything on how to avoid or prevent what I was experiencing. Nothing. Seriously listen to the reviews and please save your self the anger and disappointment. My ear is still throbbing and hurting after waiting 2 weeks for appointment on top of 8 weeks of this already occurring. Definitely not pleased with his service. Even next door I heard a patient practically yell to him "what about my ear? You haven't told me anything about my ear and it really hurts bad!" At that point my expectations flew out the window as it truly mirrored the reviews on here. How this guy still is in business, I don't know seriously. I went to see dr. Greek, for a deviated septum, the first place was in his office and he quickly figured out my problem. Nothing wrong with the visit everybody was nice the doctor was friendly and it went very well. Then showed up for the surgery in Murrieta, everybody once again really nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the anesthetist, had a great sense of humor. Dr Greek personally came in to answer a couple of my questions I had just before the septoplasty. I'm not really sure why he would have bad reviews, Everything went perfect. As a matter of fact the healing went so fast I could barely tell I had surgery in 2 days. But anyway I have nothing but five stars for the staff and dr. Greek. That was my experience. He was fast and efficient and very communicative. My follow-up visit is tomorrow, to remove the splints and sutures, I expect all the go well. Will keep you posted!... fast forward to having my splints and sutures removed, it went perfect and only took a couple of seconds and now I have the gift of clear nasal passages! Thanks dr. I've been seeing Dr. Kalcanice for just under two years I must say his staff Rosa,Myra,Vanessa and Maria are truly an amazing staff with consideration and care of their patients. They are a great team and work very well together. Im always great by the staff with a up beat attitude and truly appreciate their respect and consideration for us patients. Dr. Kalcanice is super amazing and very caring Doctor he made me feel comfortable he answered any questions I had and was very caring Doctor.
