Redondo…read moreBeach is basically everything south of the Redondo Beach pier on all the way to Torrance Beach, which takes you all the way to the bottom of Palos Verde. If you go to this beach and you wanna get some good seafood, go to the far side of the Redondo Beach pier on the lower level that is where quality seafood is. This is my go to destination, and I love the ceviche there. No matter what you can't miss by going to these beaches!

You get up close to the raw beauty and it feels like its own private beach (albeit super rocky). This is the place for surfers. Sometime last year my wife and I stumbled across Rat Beach by accident and when we decided we…read morewanted to hit one up last week to hangout, eat some snacks, and read, we figured why not spend the morning at Rat Beach? We showed up here around 8am on a Sunday and this place already had a good amount of people laying out, surfing, and just hanging out. The free parking seemed to be gone so we turned into the main lot and found a spot no problem. It was far from a hot day, but the perfect day to put some beach chairs down, read a book, and just enjoy the wonderful pacific ocean. We spent about two and a half hours just relaxing and it was a really enjoyable time. Overall, Rat Beach is not one of those California tourist beaches packed with people and super loud, oh no, it's a quiet place to hang out and have a relaxing time. I'll absolutely be back here with some more snacks and books soon.

This beach is a big, long stretch of land. It is clean and has more of a peaceful, and intimate atmosphere. More of the locals frequent this beach. At the parking lot, there is a white railing bordering a cement pathway to head towards the beach. I believe there are some other ways to enter the beach from the opposite ends though I've not tried them. Came to surf and was surprised by how fun the waves were. There are several pockets of waves to ride throughout the entire stretch of beach but you just have to look for those spots. Be mindful that if you do plan to go in the water, there is a separate swim and surf zone and orange flags indicating boundaries. I did not know this and the signs are hard to miss. The lifeguard on duty was attentive letting me know to shift a little more to the left and I appreciated the alertness to keep safety at hindsight

Walking down is a pretty steep decline, so be sure to watch your step. When you get down to the beach, you'll notice how clean and clear the water is and I was amazed by the number of tide pools there were! I was able to see so many crawfish, little baby crabs, and even a starfish! I've never seen so many sea creatures up close and personal so it was definitely a cool experience. It's really easy to spend a few hours here just taking everything in. We came at around 12pm on a Saturday and the trail wasn't too crowded. The trail itself is also very clean and not difficult; the most physically demanding part is walking back up to the parking lot from the beach because it's all incline, however, I think it's doable for most people. There is a parking lot that costs $12 for parking the entire day.

I go here many times…read more Far too many times. Each visit feels like a magical town straight out of a fantasy book. The fresh scent of seafood draws you into the pier, with the soft sounds of the birds above and from the thrashing waves of the sea below. The pier is a nice place to walk around and relax, sometimes a little bit crowded. And if you are lucky, some days might have less people. But regardless, Redondo beach has some of the best buildings. It's a good place to go fishing outside or buying fish. They have a variety of markets selling fish out there. Although I can say I had a good experiance, I will admit that it can be pricey. The shops have very expensive souvenirs unlike the last time I visited long ago. I haven't been to the restaurants yet, well some of them. But I have tried the churros and the Chinese food. The churros tasted good, my favorite item to buy whenever I visit. And for anyone who wants to save, it would be a really good snack to try when visiting. The other foods I tried tasted good, but I feel like the pricing is a bit too much. I will rate this a five because despite the high pricing, me and my family will continue to come to Redondo Beach for a nice walk. Thank you for the experiance.

Strand Bikes in Hermosa Beach Go see Jeff at Strand bikes in…read moreHermosa Beach. I bought my son an electric bike from Strand bikes in August of 2025. Jeff is incredibly knowledgeable on all bikes. He educated my son and I both on everything with the bike. He put it together himself at the shop. After a month we bought it back to the shop for a tune up make sure everything is working up to par. Jeff has gone above and beyond in service a few times he came over to the house so I did t have to bring the bike in did a few repairs at the house and other times picked the bike up and dropped it off. I am so grateful I bought the bike from a shop where I can call up when something goes wrong or with a question. So much better than buying on line. Very happy with our experience

The Seaside Lagoon is a saltwater facility, which serves as a seasonal public swim pool with an…read moreentrance fee, and it usually opens from late May to early September. The water that fills this pool comes from the other side of the breakwater, I found it's very quiet to walk round during offseason time.

Now that the concert venues all gone I see the way it's normally set up and the place is so cool ! Very small lagoon with a slide that goes into the big kid side . Three different water features that you could stand under and get sprinkled. Plenty of picnic tables around and barbecues grills you can rent. Really cool place to have a kids summer party. I was super excited to come with my best friends and their two kids ,auntie Crystal always comes up with the fun stuff. It has its own parking lot close by two dollar parking. Walking distance from the Redondo Beach pier where all the cool restaurants are. If you have little ones, this is a must do summer activity ! 10 out of 10 five stars.

The Palos Verdes Estates Shoreline spot is a perfect spot to watch the sunset. My in-laws live in…read morethe area and every time I pass by the cliffs, the view is absolutely breathtaking. It's beautiful all day but even more beautiful during sunset time. You'll see tons of people stop on the side of the road or at the shoreline area to sit and enjoy the sunset or to take photos. If you're ever in the area and it's close to sunset time, definitely check it out. It's definitely worth it.
