A bit better than pizza hut in terms of taste, just not as conveniently located for me

This will be our last visit and last review for this place. Have been coming here for a few years…read moreand it's going down, down, downhill year over year. The service is usually a major miss here but we opted for the patio on a beautiful sunny day. The server didn't even offer to bring water when she took our order but the drinks arrived fairly quickly, as did the food. The fish and chips is actually an embarrassment to the entire Atlantic region. Soggy, crusty and nearly black from the deep fryer. You will get a tiny piece that looks like it had heart disease before it ended up on your plate. I've never eaten fish where I have a leftover cup of tartar sauce, but this was it. The fries looked old and like someone grabbed them off a plate of leftovers. While this is definitely the best patio in the Valley, it is not worth eating here. Settle for drinks and expect poor service. If you want proper pub food, head over to the Library Pub up the road.

We were in the area and I had read that this was one of the more popular eateries in town. One of…read morethe tips said to get there early, as there is usually a line that forms at the door before they open. They weren't kidding! As soon as we stepped inside, I loved the interior. Basically it's a brew pub located inside of an old church. Very cool! The restaurant itself is quite spacious, as they have two sections to sit inside. They also have an adjacent beer market and outdoor patio seating. For food, they have a menu that is typical of pub fare. I ordered the fish & chips (1 piece of haddock) for $16, as the hostess said it was one of the more popular dishes. I've had my fair share of fish & chips while in Canada, and I'd have to say that this ranks as one of the better ones. The haddock tasted very fresh and it's a nice, thick piece. The batter was on the lighter side, which I appreciated. The tartar sauce was yummy and the fries were legit, but the slaw was more of an Asian slaw as opposed to a coleslaw, and I didn't care for that. Hubby ordered the Porter Bacon & Cheddar Burger and enjoyed it. We both split a cup of their Matriarch's Chowder for $9, and it came with a house made mini pretzel. Both were delish! They have a nice variety of beers, and I chose the 15 oz "Married to the Sea" for $6.96, which is a delicious German Porter. It had strong notes of coffee, which I liked. Hubby got an IPA and said it was strong and bitter, just the way he likes it. Service was fast and friendly. Although it was crowded, they were able to get a lot of people in and out of the restaurant in a timely manner. I'd highly recommend this fun brew pub if you happen to be in Annapolis!

Absolutely HORRIBLE SERVICE. I won't be going back and I'll be sure to tell everyone I know just…read morehow unprofessional the manager was!. I brought my food back in for a refund because the complete order was done wrong. NOT TO MENTION, when I called to place my order, the manager was snappy and told me to order online, so we did just that. The order was made completely wrong and when I went to call back she had turned off the phones so we had to drive into the store to do a return. I waited a good 10 minutes before she even bothered to talk acknowledge me. The restaurant had a whole two tables and I was told on the phone they were too busy to take my order over the phone but she was doing absolutely nothing when I showed up to refund my order. the manager was foul and nasty the whole time Dealing with her. She told me it would take 24hrs to give me a refund. And she had a disgusting attitude. I've  worked service industry lots so I understand how it works and how unprofessional the whole interaction was - i then snapped back at her and said if she had time to stand there and do nothing she had time to answer her effin phones and I left. The manager then called me SCREAMING and yelling about 3 minutes after I left the store , so unbelievable unprofessional I'm so taken back. ( I recorded her but unfortunately I cannot upload on here). Saying things like "she was older than me and knows more ( I giggled @ such an irrelevant comment)  & how we ate half of the order (I told her at the counter that the only thing we ate was the sandwich we had ordered - everything else was in the bag) she was mad she refunded me the sandwich back with the rest of the $65 order. I've never Incounterd such a vile person who managed a resurant and calls customers screaming at them. Not to mention, The veggie sticks were mushie, our wings slimy when u bit into them and also made wrong. I feel so bad for the one  poor server she had working, he looked as if he was working his tail off while she stood there !!.  I honestly hope that if this is how she plans on operating her business, that they get shut down.. Absolutely HORRIBLE SERVICE.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Absolutely horrible experience…read more We arrived around 10:30 am on a Wednesday. There was no one else in the restaurant. The two ladies working seemed like they didn't want to be there. They acted like we weren't customers and they didn't need to serve us. They acted like we were some sort of burden to them. We were seated and then they never came back. We were seated in the bar area and they were standing at the bar chatting so loudly we could hear their entire conversation about their lives and how miserable they were. We had to ask for coffee. It took forever to come. We had to tell them we were ready to order because it seemed like they didn't want to take our order. I ordered the chicken and waffle. It was disgusting. Zero flavor. I don't even know how that is possible. I added salt and it still was tasteless. My husband ordered the coconut French toast. He liked it. But it looked like it was on very thin sandwich bread. My mom ordered the breakfast sandwich. It had no flavor and it was cold. The potatoes were cold and dry. Would absolutely never come back here and would not recommend to anyone.

I was searching for a good seafood chowder within walking distance of the cruise port. I chose…read moreBritt's, and I was glad I did. The Maritime chowder was fantastic. It was full of seafood-salmon, shrimp, haddock, and 2 prosciutto wrapped scallops sitting on top. I would definitely make it a point to head to Britt's if I am in that port again.
