    Noodle bowl with added chicken

I was looking forward to checking this place out since planning our trip. Sat on the multilevel patio. I enjoyed my noodle bowl, great flavour and portion. Hubby had burger that was also delicious. We both enjoyed a flight of their beer. Met some fun people that invited us to sit under their umbrella when it started to rain. Check it out yourself!

Take me to church! Amazing dinner last evening on the patio next to the fire pit. Sanctuary Sauce Chicken Wings starter set the bar high but the fish & chips did not disappoint - this is fine dining meets comfort food meets amazing service - delivered last evening by JJ who made us feel right at home with no pressure to leave even though we were the second last people on the patio. As a result we ordered carrot cake whoppie pies and they were the perfect finish to a perfect evening!!!

Beautiful old church restored to be a restaurant and craft brewery. beautiful interior and large comfortable patio. The food was all excellent I had the porter burger, so tasty and perfect balance of toppings. Highly recommended!

Unique repurposing of a Church. Fun atmosphere inside. Non-beer choices also available.

Great building with amazing history! Loved the vibe, loved the ambiance! Fun bar that we happened to arrive for trivia night. Fun and entertaining. The beer was great as was the Tidal Bay. We enjoyed the pretzels and crispy broccoli but absolutely loved the cauliflower tacos. A great find on our visit to wolfville and would return again anytime we are in town. The bartenders were super friendly and made us feel like a part of a community evening.

One of a kind brewery. Built on the foundation of an old anglican church and maintaining alot of the character of the old church, including the stained glass windows, Only been open for under a year, the guys at Church brewing is doing something great here! Here you can find different kinds of beers that caters to anyones beer palate. With clever names like "Congregation", "Sanctuary", and even "eight bells". Whatever you order you will definitely enjoy. Pair that with their eclectic menu like Polenta fries, which I had, and it was phenomenal. If you dont know what polenta is, it is similar to grits, made with cornmeal and this one made into fries and drizzled with their cilantro and jalapeno crema and a little bit of feta cheese on top. Great appetizer. They also have butter chicken, mushroom risotto, and other dishes inspired by different areas of the world. So you can satisfy your food cravings with pretty much anything you order. The staff are very welcoming and they are more than happy to tell you about their beers, the inspiration behind their work. The ambiance is great, there are lots of seating. Check them out. Itll be a great conversation starter when you say "I went to church and drank beer".

This place is great! A converted church, a name like "brewing company" makes you think they brew their own beer. Well I didn't see any brews of their own, but they sure do have everyone else's local brews! Propeller, Garrison, Lake City, they have them all (except Big Spruce, which was a tad disappointing). That being said, the beers they have are all tremendous, especially their sours! Staff was friendly and attentive, and that's for both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of seating, which is good because this place was very popular, even on a rainy Monday night. For food, we had some pretzels, plus fish tacos and chicken wings. The pretzels were okay, though they resembled bread knots more than pretzels. The cheese and mustard sauces were quite good. The fish tacos were quite good as well, with some great flavor. For me though, the chicken wings were amazing! I lost count of how many they gave me, but it was a decent number, and I order wings all the time, all over the place. I went with the hot sauce, which was absolutely delicious! Spicy and sweet, not overly hot but it builds. The wings are small, but they compensate by giving so many of them. I honestly wanted to lick the paper when i was done. The blue cheese was also fairly thin, but I really liked this...allowed for good coverage when wanted without completely erasing the flavor of the hot sauce. Can't recommend them enough. Give this place a shot! Go for the converted church atmosphere, stay for some hot wings and sour beer!

The ambiance is very comfortable, you can seat yourself at any open space you'd like. Their food is good, their burgers are really good, I quite enjoy their fried chicken sandwich. Their fish and chips are also really good, with big pieces of fish and crispy fries. The nachos are really good, made the mistake of ordering the "regular" size and it was too big for just 2 of us, but it was for sure tasty with fresh ingredients. We also like their deep fried pepperoni with the mustard dipping sauce it comes with. Another part I really enjoy with this place is their homebrewed beers. I personally really enjoy the blueberry beer they have (I believe during the summertime) and the raven ale. You can get a growler of their beers to take home and enjoy and it is very affordable, I believe $15 for a growler of the raven ale. Parking is street parking, but if the streets are full, which it rarely is, there is the town parking lot not too far from this place. Oh, and I should add, this place also has a pretty decent arcade/games room upstairs and a banquet hall to be rent or host events like a comedy show. Service is great, the servers are very pleasant and the food comes out quick and hot.

None of the beers are all that good. I've tried regularly in hopes that my mind changes. The 'Big Stink' is basically the only drinkable but nothing special at all. Don't spend your money on a flight! The service here is completely hit and miss. Certain staff seem to be decent while others seem completely uninterested in being there - including the owner himself! In the half dozen times we've come in, I don't think we've seen the owner chat or acknowledge anyone who isn't a regular. He seems very socially awkward which is a weird quality for someone running a brewery. The dynamic between staff is very obviously awkward as they don't chat or seem to have any rapport at all. The atmosphere also isn't very inviting. Lighting is very dim and table sizes are hugely awkward. Don't sit at the bar top at the windows - the stools are rickety! The patio takes the cake for being the most useless use of 2x4s you could ever imagine! Enjoy two boards cutting into your thighs and getting splinters. You likely won't get too uncomfortable because you'll leave before you wait too long to even be served out there! If you come in, a sign asks you to wait to be seated. Don't assume someone will seat you - the bartender will yell from behind the bar to 'sit wherever you'd like'. My favourite seating are the booths that are down the aisle to the kitchen right outside the (very outdated) washrooms! Can't imagine whose idea that was! While the food quality/menu has gotten slightly better in the last two years, the prices have gone way up while portions have gone way down! Not worth it to eat here and drink mediocre beer. Overall, we haven't had one really great experience here even after multiple visits. If you're looking for way better beer, an inviting atmosphere with a great patio, head a little down the 201 to Lunn's Mill; their food is just typical pub food, but your experience overall will be MUCH better if you're looking to enjoy your evening!
