We recently purchased new kitchen appliances. Gas range,dishwasher,microwave and refrigerator. The salesman, Joe, was very knowledgeable and kept us informed on time it would arrive and delivery set ups. The plumber, Brent, installed the dishwasher and microwave. Did an excellent job. The delivery guys who delivered, set up, and took away the old appliances were very professional and courteous. I would highly recommend everyone at Grebe's! Hello As much as I try to support local and small businesses, it is difficult to do so when customer service contacts make it a disappointing experience. When trying to pick up some ordered parts, the counter person did no favors to support my returning to your store. You can't ask for a better business. Top quality products and staff who know the products. Normally they only provide service for appliances purchased from them but in our case the service guys have on multiple occasions taken a few minutes to listen to us regarding an issue with our washer and dryer. Not only did they say that the model we had is worth repairing they were able to sell us the parts. This business is a do the right thing example. Three times now they sold us parts to fix our appliances ourselves. I will guarantee that with 100% certainty we will purchase new appliances from them when the time comes. First off I want to say they have an excellent and high quality selection for kitchen needs. However, I was treated very poorly the last two times I visited and will not be back. The first time I bought a very nice, not to mention, expensive knife and a very nice pan. The lady told me those come in boxes! And was very rude. Then why didn't she tell me that before I brought it to the register? I thought I would give them another chance today and was virtually ignored for twenty minutes. I actually even asked for help and still stood there being ignore. I'll buy my stuff on line. I support local businesses but I won't be treated poorly just because they have high quality products. read more

Grebes never lets us down. While out of town we had an appliance die. Went to Grebes to purchase, and have delivered. Would be 6 days out, but they called us the next day and asked if we would like a Saturday delivery. Now they don't do Saturday deliveries but with us not having a fridge they moved mountains to help us out. Again, Grebes is always the best. read more

Becoming more yuppified. Is this a word? This used to be one of those neighborhood hardware stores and a pretty good one. I could mozy in and look for the right size wood screws to fix up something at home. A number of years ago they made yard tractors, lawn mowers, & snow blowers a focus. They do repairs on these things and do a very good job. This is their Power Center. In the main building they used to have a great variety of items with an emphasis on appliances. They decided to focus more on the culinary arts (and yuppify). They now have cooking classes and lots of items helpful to people who like to adventure into cooking. I hear that the classes are good and I personally know one professional baker who is excellent who has taught at least one class there. The staff is always friendly and helpful. They do funny commercials on local TV and radio. read more

Purchased a riding lawn mower that was either defective, poor quality or put together wrong. Rode like a bucking bronco. Drove it for under 5 minutes and returned it. Was charged a $280 restocking and pickup fee. Never mentioned there would be such a fee at the time of the sale. read more

I needed the electric start fixed on the snowblower, it had quit working in Jan 2015. Used their pick-up/return service and the fall tune up which was a reasonable charge. Explained about the electric start, expected additional repair charges, but it was fixed at no additional cost! When the first snowfall happenned I doubted it would work right, but it started like brand new!! Had the best possible experience with their service!!!! read more

Sold us a dryer and put a bad cord on the dryer. Told us our electrical system was the issue. Replaced all electrical at own expense and dryer still didn't work. Grebe's refused to replace it and cost us much time and money. Will not purchase going forward and recommend looking elsewhere. read more

I can't speak for their large appliances, mattresses, etc. - but I am thrilled to know this place exists for kitchen gadgets, grill stuff, specialty oils and vinegar, salts and cocoas. Grebe's has GREAT selection in a variety of prices. They have a beautiful Le Creuset collection and just about any KitchenAid add-on for your mixer that you can imagine. Truly gorgeous stuff in here. We have been shopping at Grebe's for over 45 years. Obviously we were thrilled when it became Grebe's again. The service and knowledge on all aspects of their appliances, mowers, etc is assume. The great thing is that the staff always has time to listen to what you are asking and making sure that you are aware of what your options are. Grebes is the best business in Wausau for appliances and yard equipment. Recently used their annual maintenance service for our snowblower. Not only did they service the blower but cleaned it so she looks brand new! They always service what they sell. Fantastic! read more

More like GREEDYS. I called about an oven in my rental and told them the make and model # and what the problem probably was. They said they serviced that model and could get parts, so they came over and looked at it, a total of 5 minutes,(mind you, the rental was directly across the road from them). I was right about the problem, and the repairman said he'd get the part. A couple days later, he called to say they couldn't get that part any more, but still charged me $85 to walk across the road to confirm the problem of which I thought it was in the first place! Remember, I also made sure to see if they could get parts for that make and model before they sent him over. They still insisted that they made a service call, and that I pay, or they'd take me to collections. Like I said... GREEDYS!!! read more

Frigidaire refrigerator- warranty service. Completed promptly, expertly by Don. Could not ask for better service. Fan failed and part was in Don's service van. Problem solved- pleasant, neat and tidy, helpful- could not ask for more!! read more
