My dad had a 3 hour tinnitus evaluation, which is very thorough. She spent about an hour with my dad and really took the time to make sure he was happy. We never felt like she was trying to rush us out of the office, which is pretty rare to find these days. I bought a pair and tried them. They worked well around my house. Then I wore them to church. The volume increased, and I could not reduce it either with the switch on the aid or by the phone app. I had to remove the hearing aids. Same thing in a restaurant. The dishes clanging - even the sweeping of the floor were so loud that I could not hear the person across the table. I am an electrical engineer. I understand the technology. They have missed it. I bought from Costco a pair of Phillips Hearing Aids. They worked great - when they worked, but I had to send them for repair often. I tell you this to say that my hearing is not so bad, but the support gentleman at The Hearing Co. blamed my problem on my ears. I am trying to return the hearing aids. Their restocking cost is very high compared to the price of the hearing aids. Be careful.

He saw Mr. Edwin Feijoo, whom he says is an outstanding individual. Mr. Feijoo was patient, understanding and truthful. He started off by telling him, that he didn't need a hearing aid based on his hearing loss. When my husband explained about the tinnitus, Mr. Feijoo knew exactly what he was going through, and was very understanding and companionate. They spent over an hour going through all of the hearing aid options, never once pushing to make a sale. Mr. Feijoo explained everything in detail and selected a hearing aid that was suitable for him. He would highly recommend Mr. Feijoo and this Miracle Ear Store. My mother, age 82, was directed here by her insurance company (formerly called Medica), and we are so grateful to have found this place. Jorge is so patient and loving with older people. My mom had her first hearing test with Jorge in 2019, but by 2021 her hearing had deteriorated and Jorge patiently showed us the two tests side by side and recommended hearing aids for her that were easy for her to use and most importantly not too loud for the first time hearing aid wearer. He Bluetooth paired the hearing aids to an app he installed in her iPhone and has been a wonderful support throughout the past year as my mom needed a few things such as new silicone tips and her hearing aids to be cleaned. During our appointment today, Jorge let us know that my mom's hearing aids were still under warranty and offered to get her a replacement pair since we've had a few issues with them not charging. A replacement pair will be here in a week, thankfully. While we were there, Jorge gave my mom a new hearing test and determined that her hearing was the same as in 2021 when we were last in the office. I very much value his customer service and attention to detail. I highly recommend Hear USA on Coral Way and especially Jorge who is a kind man to families and to the elderly. I purposefully arrived 20 minutes prior to my appointment, as I wanted to fill out my registration forms early; so that my appointment ran on time. I have now been here for 3 hours - the place is almost closing (in 30 min). Once I completed my forms, I took them to the receptionist. After handing my clipboard to her, she left my PHI (protected health information) out for the other patients behind me to see. I watched 15 minutes go by, and several patients come through (exposing all my personal health information) without the receptionist making a move. This is a HUGE issue...Another medical assistant came up to me while I was seated in the lobby and verbally asked me about my health history. If you work in healthcare, you know that this is a big no no. You don't risk violating rules under HIPPA!! The lobby is packed with--I'm not even exaggerating--close to 25 patients or more. When I asked the receptionist about my appointment status. She said that: they have only two doctors currently working. If you work in billing or administration, you know that this is a sign of a greedy doctor. If you know that you only have two providers to see patients, then you shouldn't stack up back to back appointments for the provider. You notify the patient that you have no appointments available. That means the only thing the doctor or the office manager care about is the $ from the insurance carriers, because you can't schedule 5+ patients for the same hour! It's so unprofessional and makes no sense. It's not adequate attention to the patient's care... The doctor is very friendly, and has good bedside manners. But that doesn't negate the horrible experience I am having. If you don't have the bandwidth, then you shouldn't be scheduling all these patients. Major disappointment!

Dr. Raben has been my primary doctor for awhile now, and part of the reason I chose her is that she has Saturday hours for established patients without an extra fee as long as you have an appointment. Regular copayment is always better than an urgent care center copayment! She has a lab, x-ray & ultrasound machines in her office, which make it more efficient whether getting a routine physical or a diagnosis when you're sick. In addition to treatment, she also offers some nutrition related medicine such as the vitamin IV's, which I'm a believer in. Dr. Raben's also offered phone consults before it was trendy. Her staff is friendly and helpful in getting your appointments. Heads up, Dr. Raben is direct. Besides still keeping paper record like the old day her bedside manner is to the point and lets you know what you (and yours truly) sometimes might not want to hear about your habits and health. That's sometimes needed!
