Lonnie took my call, answered all my questions, and quoted me a fair price based on what other such installations have cost. A month later I called them and scheduled the installation. (Needed to get some electrical work done first.) When Adam arrived he did some quick measurements based on how the garage doors opened and informed me that the track for the belt drive openers wouldn't fit since I had such a low ceiling. He took photos and discussed it with Nick, the Service Manager. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze and the technician let me know when he was on the way. My issue was a dead circuit board in my 20 year old garage door opener. The tech went over the replacement options along with clear and upfront pricing. Once I decided, he was able to do the install right away! The sales guy made promises he didn't deliver. The door came with defective panels. The second door had 1 panel defective. They charged me the full amount due upon installation of the second defective door panel AND they did not credit, as promised reimbursement, for the paint I had to purchase to fix the damage they did to my exterior trim on my new home. They are angry that I put the charge in dispute because I didn't want to pay the last installment for a product costing me over $7,000.00 that had a defect thus voiding any warranty!? All I get is unanswered emails to questions asking about delivery time frames to complete this job. When I did get an email it's because I contacted the garage door vendor direct. They won't give me an update on when the panels will arrive and got angry that I called the CHI door company direct for help. Now the service manager is after the person who helped me at CHI stating they need to take a course in how to do their job. Ironic because she actually did her job, it's Highfield not doing their job. If Highfield would put as much energy in to doing the right thing by providing quality products and customer service we wouldn't be having this issue. I'm not in the business of taking off work every time I have to have this door done correctly. I'm owed compensation and Highfield is not delivering on anything.
