No explanation of what or why. Until the girl says " you don't have enough insurance so you'll have to pay $1600.00. I'm good with that. What I'm not good with is; - I'm already anxious, and have this young woman not communicating. Not at all. When I asked her to communicate better, she walked out of the room. - Grabbing my face or any part of my body without first asking permission to touch me. - Bait n' switch on doctors. Dr. Facer was amazing, understood my fear of needles, and enabled me to relax. Then I learn after flying all the way to SLC, that Dr. Facer isn't available that week, and I'd be worked on by another doctor. The office could have shared that previously, saving me the cost of a flight and a hotel. I've found a different dentist, and will not be returning. I'm so grateful I came here for my root canal. Dr Thomson double check which tooth it was before starting. He even called me the next day to see how I was doing. I really appreciated that. They had me pay a deposit, but made it clear that the balance due would be dependent on how much my insurance covered. Since I was working with both my regular dentist and Utah Endo it was probable that I would max my available annual balance from my dental insurance. This is the first time I've seen an endodontist, I don't know what 'normal' fees from an endodontist are, BUT, they are worth every penny. I do not fee overcharged.

Well I went to my regular dentist because an implant needs a crown and come to find out Dr. VanDenBurghe left a piece of rubber in my jawbone that will be there forever. I will not be having them do my implant or any other work again. The only thing they have going for them is how nice of people they are. Front desk is Amazing and the doctors are so friendly. The work they do is not top tier so if you're looking for a one time trip for a problem tooth this would not be the spot for you. If you like nice people and going in for multiple visits to have work done on a single tooth this is the place! 2 stars for being so nice and always same day visits are available. Extra information to know is they do not offer any pain management so Tylenol and ibuprofen is all you get. Hopefully you're lucky enough to not need pain medication because they will not give you any no matter the circumstance.

Whereupon, I jump through the roof because I'm not quite deadened yet. Dr Johnson gave me a little more at the beginning, just for good measure. He listened and took me seriously. They did a procedure for me to fix a root canal I had had done with my dentist that remained infected. Regrettably the procedure they did for me still did not quite fix the problem, so they got me in immediately to redo the procedure they had done for me previously. They did not charge me for the additional procedure, not one more dollar. They told me they have a policy that if any work they do has to be redone within a year or two of it having been done previously they do not recharge the patient. Dental work being as it is sometimes root canals or other work getting re-infected is just something that happens and is outside of a professional's control. So the fact that they follow this practice of redoing any procedure they've done that did not end up being successful is a wonderful upstanding practice. I would recommend Redwood Endodontics to anyone needing specialty dental work!

I was charged $303.00 of which $97.00 was covered by my insurance. Way overcharged I would say. He treated me for a follow up without charge almost a year later and when we did end doing an apicoectomy I felt like I was in the best hands. I barely felt the numbing needles, his technique is so on point! Go see him before you pull any teeth, or go the implant route or if you need a root canal.. he's the best!!
