He treated me for a follow up without charge almost a year later and when we did end doing an apicoectomy I felt like I was in the best hands. They did a procedure for me to fix a root canal I had had done with my dentist that remained infected. Regrettably the procedure they did for me still did not quite fix the problem, so they got me in immediately to redo the procedure they had done for me previously. They did not charge me for the additional procedure, not one more dollar. They told me they have a policy that if any work they do has to be redone within a year or two of it having been done previously they do not recharge the patient. Dental work being as it is sometimes root canals or other work getting re-infected is just something that happens and is outside of a professional's control. So the fact that they follow this practice of redoing any procedure they've done that did not end up being successful is a wonderful upstanding practice. I've never met Dr Briggs. My total experience with him was over the phone talking to his…read moreappointment setter (working from her home) and a return call Dr Briggs gave to me. I cannot tell you about his skills as a dentist, only his telephone manners. A tooth with a cap (#14) needed a root canal. Thinking this would be a difficult procedure, I made an appointment with Dr Brigg's office. The soonest time was two weeks out but I endured the pain and waited patiently. A week later I was contacted by his office and told he had to go to Las Vegas that night and wouldn't be available for our set appointment. I was given the name of two dentists and, being in great pain, made an appointment for that very day. The dentist referred to me had no receptionist and no assistant for the dentist. After searching for two hours, he announced he was unable to find the "third root" in the tooth. I called Dr Briggs office again and was again given two dentists to call. Now very frustrated ("WHY did he refer me to someone who obviously didn't know what he was doing?") I went to a dentist recommended by a friend. After a one-hour consultation, the dentist was not only able to find the third root but a small fourth one as well. He remarked that it was not too difficult at all. Now I was really angry. I just wanted to know why I had been referred to someone who did few root canals (his own admission) when I needed help. His appointment taker stated it was NOT Dr Briggs who gave me the names but dentists calling her looking for "overflow work." I again asked her to have Dr Briggs call me. He did. He called within a few minutes and said the following, "I HAVE NO DESIRE TO TALK TO YOU AT ALL!" The pain I felt at that moment was almost as great as the pain I had endured in my tooth the previous week!
