I called to make sure UHC was in network and scheduled/requested JUST a cleaning to be able to get my teeth cleaned before my insurance benefits turned over for the year. Upon arriving, they asked for the usual insurance card, license, etc. Mind you - I only requested a CLEANING. I agreed to nothing else. After waiting a very long time, they take me back for annual x-rays, then tell me since this was scheduled as an emergency appointment, *hopefully* there will be a hygienist who can take me. Huh? None of this was discussed with me beforehand. I was told I had a cleaning appointment. I waited a very long time, but was finally seen by the hygienist. She was pleasant and cleaned my teeth. She recommended a $30+ mouthwash that I agreed to buy. At checkout, my total was $66+, which I thought was odd because I had very comprehensive dental care, and my cleanings everywhere else is free. I figured I was being charged the $29 new patient fee special, blah, blah - wasn't worth the hassle. So I paid. But now, I keep receiving and electronic e-mail for another $85 bill AFTER my insurance went through. They charged me for services I never requested nor agreed to. Don't bother calling, you will sit on-hold forever and no one will get back to you. There's no real e-mail address to contact them at and they don't respond to Better Business Bureau complaints. Worst dentist office I've ever dealt with

Mark McComie likes to commit insurance fraud, he charge me for fillings on my #8 & #9 tooth when all he did was actually polish my teeth when I first came to him. Then he filed claims with my insurance company saying he filled my #8 tooth when all he did was throw desensitizer on my tooth because he overfiled my #8 tooth when he was in the process of filling my #7 tooth. And when he filed it down too much he made it sensitive (I didn't know was as sensitive until the numbing wore off) I verified this with his assistant while I was there that day because I felt it. So I took pictures of it when I got to my car and also when I got home so that I can have evidence to prove to Mark that he actually did file over on my #8 tooth But when I came to him with this information after a couple of weeks he tried to claim he didn't do it and that he runs and "HONEST COMPANY" and then he said he would fix it, well he quickly threw some desensitizer on it very sloppy, it took him less than a minute but in the process of polishing my tooth he chipped my #8 but I didn't know he did it until about a week later. When I felt it I thought it was just excess agent left on the tooth, but what makes him so horrible is he knew he did it and didn't tell me. You have to be a real horrible dentist to know you damaged someone teeth and not say anything, unless you purposely damaged that person's tooth. I don't know if he's a racist or he don't care how he treats people. Your not a good Dentist if you have to deleted all negative reviews on Google to make yourself look good. We all need to report this scam artist to get him shut down.

I have had my implant done here and had a great experience! I brought my boyfriend here to get his implant done as well. Before we were going to start this process, We signed up and got him insurance, I'm no expert on insurance, but I know how to read and I read that extractions were covered immediately not 100% but 80% of it would be covered. During our consultation with the office they told me his insurance would not cover the extraction or anything needed at this time. I felt a little dumb but played it off like I'm not insurance expert. I knew it wouldn't cover anything else but kept reading extractions were covered. We have him scheduled for the bone graft this upcoming Friday, well last Wednesday he started having terrible pain, by Friday he was going to rip this tooth out of his head and this office was closed those three days for the holidays. So I had to get him in to get the tooth pulled somewhere else that Friday, lo and behold the lady At this dental office came back saying Oh, your insurance does cover the extractions up to 80% so all you owe is $60 today.. I thought to myself wow so Dr. Cannon's office must've not even checked.. Fast forward to today I call to explain what happened and when do we need to come back in for a bone graft?.. She rudely tells me on the phone oh, we're not going to just cut him back open and do a bone graft. He'll have to do that when he gets the implant... I have no idea what that means and I just sit in silence on the phone because I'm thinking to myself is that not the next step for the implant because that's what you were going to do on Friday is pull the tooth and put a bone graft in and that bone graft has to heal for a certain amount of time.. I expressed to the girl on the phone that I don't know what that next step means and she seemed to not even care to talk to me about it or explain anything to me, because she absolutely did not. And at this point, the receptionist, both of them alone have put such a bad taste in my mouth. I've decided to not use this office at all.. So moving forward, double check your insurance because they're just gonna try to charge whatever they want, without checking your insurance. And they do not have good customer service.. At all. I'm about to spend THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS here and you're going to act like I'm a problem questioning what is being done? i dreaded everytime I had to call because of how they made me feel. One is more nice than the other but still both not willing to actually help your problems on the phone. Dr. Cannon and the girls in the back are great, But the receptionist just lost Having us as patients here. And when they read this, they probably won't even care just like how they made me feel on the phone. Hope this helps someone who isn't financially well off and made to feel dumb by this office.
