I recently visited Great Wolf in Webster TX fir a work-related meeting. The facility is nice overall but not what I would have chosen for a conference setting...but that's not the hotel's fault. Front desk service was quick and friendly. My room was clean and comfortable though calling it a "family suite" is a stretch for two queen beds and a table sitting area. I greatly appreciated having a small fridge in the room. Great Wolf is basically a large hotel centered around an indoor water park with a family friendly design--tile , not carpet in my room as an example. The hotel uses wristbands instead of keys for access control, which makes a ton of sense given the family orientation. Some minor downsides: this particular location sits off by itself. If you want to do anything away from the hotel you'll need to drive. In keeping with the family environment the lone restaurant/bar closes at 10 though the hotel "store" does have a small but decent selection of adult beverages and other snacks. Overall, nice spot for a family vacation. Clean and well-maintained.

I am actually surprised about the ratings of this place. I thought it was overall a great option for a family fun spot. Compared to the Grapevine location, it's about 2/3 as big, but it does the job. This facility is one of the newest ones so the technology is more advanced. The nightly ending show for the kids is surround sound and effects, with even "snow" (bubbles) to end the show. Otherwise all the other events during the days are the same: craft, story time, photo ops with the characters, dance parties, balloon animals. Drop offs at the roundabout, free. Parking is $19 per day with in/out privileges. Just scan your wristbands in and out. Like all the other locations, the wrist bands allow you to navigate through the hotel: unlock rooms, check out towels, pay for meals, etc. Staff was kind and courteous. Free wolf ears for guests. Park and hotel rooms are clean. Food courts available both in and outside of the water park. Plenty of places to eat completely out of the location if you want to take a drive. The park/hotel itself is located in a great area for food and shopping. We would definitely add this into our rotations of things to do. Great fun for the whole family!

A little on the fence. Loved that this location is still fairly new. Not a lot of food options like the one in Grapevine within the lodge. Also, noticed that on one of the nights both areas serving soft serve the machines weren't working right tried again the next day the same issue. The buffet was out of drinks and coffee on one end of the buffet area, had to go to the other side to get coffee and drinks. I loved the Fire Side restaurant food never disappointed. Alcoholic Drinks were always good but pricey. Our kids still enjoyed the waterpark, did all the slides and called it a day. They loved bowling and the arcade as well. We love the atmosphere and the fact they have events and activities through out the day. Rooms were clean, could use a microwave to reheat to go orders. Staff were friendly. Definitely worth coming for your little ones to take part in Magic Quest. The outside also had a nice walking area. It was nice to step out every now and then.

Nice schedule daily to keep kids entertained

Great Wolf Lodge was a nice, quick getaway close to home and overall a fun experience for our family. I really appreciated that they offer a daily activity schedule for kids, it made planning the day easy. Our favorite activity was the morning yoga, which was a great way to start the day. The customer service on-site was strong. When our room wasn't warm enough, maintenance came up within minutes to fix it. When I needed extra towels, they were delivered quickly with no hassle. That level of responsiveness definitely stood out. The downsides are mostly around cost and communication. Expenses can add up fast between attractions and hotel amenities. I was also frustrated that the 800 number gave different information than the front desk. I was told ahead of time that parking would be free, but I was charged at checkout. I was also told an upgraded room would be available, but that didn't happen at check-in. Aside from those issues, if you're in Houston or a nearby city, this is still a fun, convenient getaway for families--just go in knowing to double-check pricing and policies ahead of time.

Great spot for us since it's a short drive away. The water park itself is a decent size, but it would be even better with a few more thrill rides or a larger connected outdoor area. One big plus is the location, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, so you're not stuck eating inside. They also allow outside food and drinks, which helps a lot. That said, it can get pretty crowded depending on when you go. They offer package deals for the extra activities, and if you try everything at least once, it feels worth it. It's also nice to take breaks from the water park and do things like the ropes course, mini golf, adventure trail, and mini bowling. Food inside the park is reasonably priced and decent, so you don't always have to leave. We mixed it up with park food, DoorDash, and going out for a meal. Overall, it's a solid nearby indoor water park, and we'd come back again when there are good deals. The only thing that felt overpriced was the wand and topper for kids, $50+ just to walk around activating lights and features is a bit much.

This was almost $20 with tip. It was tasty though.

We enjoyed our time here. I have a little one so it bring small was not a downside. The water was warm and we enjoyed our time in the park. The free activities are fun for small kids. The food is expensive so we ordered in or picked something up. I wish they had another option for breakfast though. It's either buffet or dunkin donuts. They do have a sales pitch while you're there for Hilton vacations. But the guy wasn't too pushy.

We had such a great time at Great Wolf Lodge! Before I get into the whole experience, I want to mention how thoughtful it is to have this facility be Tree Nut and Peanut FREE!!! We told out daughter and she was so appreciative that she could have the ice cream and other treats around the property without having to worry about using her EpiPen. Once we arrived, there was a bit of a wait. I am not sure if there are options for online check-in but they should probably look into it. We arrived about 3:30 and didn't get to the front of the line until after 4:15. That's pretty wild . . .however, everything after this was up and up. All of the rides and activities are totally catered to kids! While my kids are strong swimmers, parents don't really have to worry about deep water unless they go too far into the wave pool. Our favorite ride was of course the River Run Canyon because all 4 of us got to enjoy it together. 5 people can fit though. The hotel room was very spacious...I was glad because some hotels are cramped however...the bathroom could be better! Overall...it was a good time! Don't forget the morning yoga routines and the dance parties at night!!!

This by far is the WORST GREAT WOLF LODGE I've been too!! From complications at check in, to me leaving then coming back after a call from corporate AND THEN WAITING OVER AN HOUR AND 30 minutes for a manager to rectify, to the fridge not working, correct towels in the bathroom. The machine to bring the floats up for a slide stopped working TWICE while we were in line. If negative 5 stars was an option then that would be my review. However...Corey and the pre-med student whose name may be Aiden, lifeguards and shop workers were amazing.

We came here for the summertime with the kids and it was great. I was tired, but the kids was happy to see the waterpark all the games the adventures. Everything was great about the location the Staff great hospitality.

Everytime you think about going to great wolf lodge, go to kalahari. Its so small there was POOP on the floor in the water park I hated it

    THE ORIGINAL CHARGES.

BEWARE BEWARE!! if I can give this place negative reviews I would. I went to this CRAPPY Great wolf Lodge for the first time. To start they OVERCHARGED ME than what I paid for!! RIDICULOUS I AM NEVER COMING BACK. And I HOPE MANY PEOPLE SEES THIS REVIEW. I called FOR 2 DAYS using number provided on their website. They made me WAIT FOREVER more than 30 MINS TO AN HOUR just for them to hang up on me without answering. Mind you I called in the afternoon and today in the morning The TOTAL CHARGE I paid for SHOULD be **$794.21** I deposited $287.82 on July 7, and just for me to check my statement for a pending charge on July 13 $606.39. Now you do the damn math. 606.39+287.82=[894.21]. THATS NEARLY $900 DOLLARS. When I originally paid $794.21? Now tell me WHY ON GODS GREEN EARTH DID IT HIKE UP THAT MUCH.! I Would understand if it was 400 because that would've made sense. I also am a human and work my fucking ass off as well to pay for this vacation for my family but you guys are gonna OVERCHARGE me on something that I'm not notified about what the heck are y'all even doing? It was my fault for not checking the reviews before coming here because ONE STAR are HIGHER than the five stars.

We were a party of 5 adults and 2 kids. We stayed in the Grizzly Bear suite. The suite came with 1 king size bed, 2 queen size, and one full size (the couch pulls out into a bed). There were 2 bathrooms with showers, a mini fridge, and 3 TVs. The room was very clean when we arrived. There is a microwave in the ice room although they could have put a microwave into the suite. Check-in is through a self check-in kiosk. There are luggage carts available to help you move your belongings to your room easier. Employees were very welcoming and attentive. There is food available in the water park /MagiQuest/ropes course area, but there are restaurants within a 5-10 min drive. I recommend just eating at nearby restaurants instead of at the resort, at least the quality will be better. There is an indoor water park and outdoor water park. Outdoor water park was unavailable when we were there. You'll find a family friendly wave pool that isn't deep, a lazy river, and a good amount of slides for both kids and adults. For teens/adults I recommend going on the Alberta Falls, two body slides (High Paw Roller), and Texas Twirler (there are two different ones. The longer line on the left is more intense with a drop. The right one is more tame). Also, they don't have Forest Flume yet. I still think it's weird to see full grown adults swim with street clothes on (shirts) at the indoor water park. Parking is a nightmare. You'll be driving around searching for a closer spot. That wristband you have, wear it on your left wrist. You'll need it to scan to get into the room as well as leaving the parking lot (if you decide to eat elsewhere or shop). Overall, it's about 3 out of 5. The suites could have been designed better with a microwave, parking is a mess, and prices are expensive for an overnight stay.

This was our first Great Wolf experience. While there were some Pros, overall we were unimpressed. Coming here for the 1st time seemed confusing. Ultimately, this is a money grab. During spring break, a friend said they were going to come here for a waterpark day pass. I checked the prices and it was a whopping $100 per day during the week, $110pp on Friday and an astonishing $150pp on Saturday. There was NO WAY we were going to pay $500-$750 for our family to come here for a day. I then noticed an advertisement on their website for 40% off room rates (which include waterpark passes) so I checked a Thursday to Friday stay and was blown away at the $285 cost! We quickly booked a room (with added taxes and resort fees) and paid $375 for one night. (Still better than $500 for day passes). I downloaded the app so my reservation was easily accessible. The day before the trip, I checked the app for my reservation and it said I didn't have one. I freaked out a bit and called and the girl eventually found my reservation. No idea why I had 2 separate confirmation numbers. Frustrating. Check-in isn't until 4pm but a nice thing is that you're still able to go in the waterpark. We arrived around noon. We paid the $15 parking. (Parking is automatically added to your room charge but show proof you paid and they'll deduct it from your bill.) Building is beautiful and clean. Everything was really well done for the theme. There are a number of activities: high ropes course, mini golf, bowling, a playground. Unfortunately, they're all like $10+. (When booking the room I was asked if I wanted to add on these for an additional $350. No thanks. That's more than the room.) This is in addition to some wand activity that everyone was ga-ga for but seemed lame to us. (More of the money grab). Our oldest used $15 of her bday money to go on the ropes course. She enjoyed it. The waterpark was honestly unimpressive. There are 6 older kids/adult slides. Two 5-person slides, two 2-person slides and two single-person slides. Our first slide was one of the 5-person slides. While waiting behind the family in front of us, another group goes right past us... we comment on "line jumping" but apparently there are 2 separate lines despite no signage. The right side of the stairs is for the more tame slide and the left side (which we were in) took FOREVER. I would guess we waited 30-40 minutes. In addition, the lazy River was small and overcrowded. Wave pool was "meh." Our son spent most of the time in the basketball pool. The kid slides in the middle were ok. Lines no long. Like another reviewer said, the chlorine smell was overwhelming. I had the worst migraine in only my left eye on both days we were at the waterpark. My husband and I ended up laying outside on a lounge chair the whole 2nd day because we didn't want to be inside. Unfortunately again, the outdoor pool was not open. Despite the signs stating pool closed, we watched NUMEROUS people still go on. Hot tub was open and was PACKED. Ick. As for food: $18 burgers, $18 chicken fingers, pizzas for $25, soft pretzels $10. Kids meals for $11. When booking the room, offered the breakfast buffet for a whopping $90. (Egg prices are high but not THAT high.) No thanks, went out to eat aside from coffee and donuts for the kids at Dunkin in the morning. ($2/donut, coffee $4-5). Other confusing aspects: since check-in isn't assisted, we didn't know what our room we were in. Apparently we were texted it but since my phone was in a pool locker ($17 charge), we didn't see it. The girl at the desk was nice and told us. She also said to use our wristband for the parking. Unfortunately, our wristband didn't work at the parking kiosk and I had to go back to the front desk. Our room was ok. 2 queen beds and a pullout couch. Room was clean and comfortable but pretty bare bones. Wish they had a microwave in the room but I'm sure this is to encourage eating at their high-priced restaurants. All in all, I think this place is geared more towards little kids. Ours at 11, 9 and 8 seemed "too old" already. The kids had an ok time in the waterpark but even they weren't blown away. For $375 we got to go to the waterpark for 2 days (check-in day AND check-out day). This place is nice but just WAY too expensive with all the ads-ons. It was an experience but we're unsure if we will return again.

Is the only hot tub there outside? Or is there one indoors as well? Also, we were under the impression there is a water coaster there, but we aren't finding any concrete evidence that there is a water coaster, can someone clarify this for us?

We were walking in at 11:10am, just after they opened. We set our stuff down on a table near the entrance and headed to the first set of slides. Because we were there early on a weekday, there were no lines at all. We would talk up to the top of a tower and go right down a slide. As it turned out, it was pretty much a waste of money to grab the express passes because we only needed them on one tower (two slides). And had we known that, we would have gone to this tower first and really not even needed them at all. Every other group of slides either had zero wait, or didn't have an express lane. And unfortunately, MASSIV was closed, and as far as I could tell, that would have been the best ride. We did every slide in the park in the first two hours and then hung out for a while in the lazy river, which wasn't so lazy. I really enjoyed it, especially after climbing 40-50 stories worth of stairs to do all of the slides. I don't know that we would need to come back to Schlitterbahn again when there are other closer waterparks to us, but we were happy to try another new one that we hadn't been to before. One thing I'll note: we attempted to walk around barefoot, but the concrete was absurdly hot. I am no concrete engineer, but it seems like a waterpark should do something about that. Paint the concrete? Treat it? Add more shade? I don't know, but the answer shouldn't be: leave it all natural and 100% exposed to the elements. At the very least, leave little stations at the base of rides for sandals, because you weren't allowed to take your sandals on the slides, but there was also no place to really leave them, so we just kind of dropped them at the bottom of the stairs and hoped they would be there when we came back.

After driving over an hour to get there and find a parking spot, I realized I forgot our wristbands and had to pay another $20 just to get into the Park one last time which was so much drama despite the fact 1) they could've given me a sliver of Goodwill as someone who has bought multiple season passes and drinks and food while there for multiple years and had no issue purchasing replacement wristbands over the past few years. I wasn't upset because of the $20. I was upset because of the experience. I bought a season pass with every intention of using it this summer, but life had other plans. My entire summer was spent caring for elderly parents, and I barely had the opportunity to come to the park. Looking back, I would have been better off buying individual tickets. Today was the one day I had left to bring my daughter before the season ends. After driving more than an hour to get here, I realized I'd forgotten our season pass tags. Instead of a little flexibility or customer goodwill during the last week of the season, I spent nearly an hour walking back to my car and trying to work something out before finally paying the replacement fee anyway. The money wasn't the point. The lost time and the way the situation was handled completely changed the tone of what was supposed to be one enjoyable day after an incredibly difficult summer. Policies are important, but so is customer service. Sometimes treating a loyal season passholder with a little understanding creates far more goodwill than strictly enforcing a fee. Unfortunately, this experience has convinced me not to renew next year. I'll be looking at other parks instead.

What was a disappointment: - total of 1 lifeguard for the entire pool area, which included three pools and a lazy river with a wave area. There is "swim at your own risk" signage, but that is NOT a family friendly environment. - there is a 1x/ day arts and crafts that you have to pay extra to do. - the other staff-led activities were bingo, movie by the pool, and karaoke. The staff was not energetic, smiling, or enthusiastic with the exception of the activities manager who led the water melon eating contest. - it rained for one of the afternoons so we all went into the conference center for games. Wow was that disappointing. The staff was sitting around at a table, no music, no explanation of the table games, not interacting with the guests. When asked they said "you can play whichever game you want, it's self service." My husband and I used our phones to at least put on music, we facilitated a game of tag, and several families had to escalate to the manager to setup the karaoke and popcorn machine because the staff in the room was literally sitting around sticking to a rigid schedule and telling us they can't set anything up until a certain time. Of course the manager said that is absolutely not true. - the staff didn't know how to work the projector for karaoke so the kids just used a laptop that the staff member had sitting on her lap. Minimal interaction etc. The events team staff (minus the supervisor) was really subpar. Easily made for a 2 rating for sure. If you want a true family getaway, the JW Marriott in San Antonio is far superior. Photo with my son and one of the disengaged staff members. I'll also say that, again, for this luxury price, the staff need branded sweaters not oversized personal apparel.
