As a previous reviewer said it is definitely hands down the worst Chinese we have ever had. They made Panda Express seem like it deserves 5 Michelin stars. We ordered quite a few things and each one was uniquely bad. I still can't get the taste of the "teriyaki" chicken out of my head. It seemed they had made it days prior and let it sit under a hot lamp and thought it was good to serve same for the ham fried rice... neither of us were able to finish are meals and threw it away. it seemed like a couple months ago it was good according to the other reviews. Not to mention the inside had a booth that was covered in children's toys and old clothes that smelled mildewy... I think the health department needs to take a visit here so they can get back to making what could be decent food. read more

this is hands-down, the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my life! It is beyond me how there are Five Star reviews on this place. I got the sesame chicken with fried rice and was no flavor at all. The sauce tasted rancid the chicken was fatty, and it overall just didn't taste right. To boot I got deathly ill the next morning at 4:00 AM. i've never thrown up so much all my life. Yuck! We ordered simple Wonton soup. The canned broth was ok. And the handful of frozen peas and carrots were, acceptable. But, the wontons were disgusting. Large wads of gooey dough, with a pea sized blob of mystery meat in the middle. Assuming it was meat, of course. But, it came w fried wontons. 4. 4 fried wontons the size of my pinky finger. Pass. I was hungry late at night. Needed something to eat so I talked to some friends and they said great wall was a good place to get some Chinese food it was fast easy and pretty good. I tried their broccoli beef, general tso's chicken, mushroom chicken, And their lo mein. I also tried their eggroll and cream cheese wonton All in all the price was awesome the food was good and the service was quick (although they are hard to understand with their accents but friendly none the less) I recommend this place if you're looking for a cheap easy good tasting Chinese meal. read more

The quality of the food is nothing special it's good at the very best and one thing I must say this is the only Chinese spot in town that has the original duck sauce from back east. The worst Chinese food I have ever had and the worst customer service. The lady helping us kept trying to push us along and put things on our plate we didn't want. She didn't want to tell us what things were and quickly made us pay and leave even though nobody was behind us. The food is mediocre at best. The fried rice has no flavor, the chicken was so fatty I couldn't even eat it. My husband got the curry and the pepper pork. Both were terrible. We basically paid $16 for 2 kids sized drinks. I love this place. The food is always fresh. Friendly staff. The owners are funny and sweet. Every time I've been in the place it has been clean. They are always willing to make you something off the menu if you don't want the steam table food selection. It's not expensive and I always have enough to make another big meal with the leftovers. We went there because we checked out all the Chinese restaurants in Pocatello on yelp and this one had one of the highest ratings. Unfortunately, we were not satisfied. The cream cheese wonton was probably the best thing, which was still fairly bland and the wonton itself was slightly chewy. The beef and broccoli was sub-par, and the general tso's chicken was soggy, like it had been made hours ago and had been sitting in the sauce (which wasn't spicy at all) for hours. The fried rice was okay - but nothing spectacular. I think we will be trying another restaurant next time. read more

Average food, good prices. You can order from the pre-cooked hot table selection or order off a menu. We did both and we're happy with our selections. Most of the Asian food we have tried so far in Pocatello has been average, so we may likely return because it is cheaper than going to a restaurant and just about as good (though smaller menu). read more

The guy at the counter condescendingly explained to me that "some people like their general Tao's chewy and some like it tender." I like to be able to chew and swallow. It was like chewing straw. I had to spit out pieces into a napkin. The majority of what he put in my styrofoam container was tough. My rule of thumb became that if the fork would not go through it, I might as well not put it in my mouth because it would not be chewable. What a rip-off. One of the worst places I have ever eaten.
