I decided to try a new chinese restaurant on Door Dash. At the time I didn't realize it was across the river from me but after eating the food I would order from there again and I did. Had chicken and broccoli with crab rangoons and an egg roll. With the distance you wouldn't think the food would be hot but it was very hot and delivered promptly. So much food it made 2 meals. Oh my god. Now I never write reviews but if I can save at least one persons money, I'll be happy. This was the WORST food I've ever had. Not even Chinese food, worst FOOD. I got the sesame and general tsos chicken and It was literally mush I cannot even describe the texture of the chicken. I couldn't even eat it. The place is kind of a dive atmosphere. It is not the cleanest In appearance but I did witness them wiping down tables. The staff was ready to take my order immediately, bo waiting. That was nice but I needed a few minutes as I have never been there. I decided to get sweet & sour chicken after making sure it was all white meat. The sauce comes on the side, I did not specify that, it's just the deal. And I got white rice on the side. I didn't like it nor hate it. The batter puffs up too much for me and it was a bit too sweet. Almost funnel cake-ish. I ended up cutting the chicken out of the middle of the breading and dipping it in the sauce. I got through it. With a pepsi it was $9.95 for my meal. Not bad pricing! Since I wasn't "wowed", I do not recommend and I won't be back. read more

It was good for several years, but it has changed. Not our favorite for Asian food in the area, but most of them on the west side of town have slipped downhill. We had this one left as a go-to, but not any longer. We'd been ordering from them for about 10 years if not longer on a pretty regular basis. They did do their own delivery for a small fee, that's gone best I can tell. We did Grub Hub and that's expensive. The size of portions have shrunk and the prices have increased. They were over-frying the sweet n' sour chicken. They don't seem to do that any longer, but now there is only a small amount of chicken inside of seriously over-battered pieces. It's about all batter. The Mongolian Beef is about all vegetables and a lot of onions. The beef is tough. I guess we will start to look further east into Davenport or even Bettendorf for better quality Asian food. We're basically done here. read more

Love the food. Favorite Chinese in town, but it seems like fairly frequently there is a problem with our to-go order. We live a half-hour out into the country on a farm so not like we can easily drive back. It's never been a huge order mix-up, it's little things like a wrong size order or shorted an eggroll or 2. Be specific and ask questions about the sizes. Check your order before you drive away. LOL But the food is so good its worth it and we keep going back. read more

This is great little Chinese place. We order Chinese take-out from here almost exclusively. Extremely generous portions for ordering a small sized entree. Enough for two meals. I always order Schezwan shrimp or Hunan shrimp and roommate always gets Mongolian beef. White rice is no charge with entrees. I get almost always 7 giant shrimp (almost prawns) in my entree with carrots, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, celery, baby corn, waterchestnuts, in an abundant spicy brown sauce. Roommate's dinner is loaded with thin-sliced, tender beef, tons of onions, in a brown, thick sauce. The food comes in plastic, round containers, almost leaking the sauce out because they are so full. White rice comes in small Oriental folding-lid, traditional, take-out paper container. Definitely value for your money and fast service too. read more

The only thing that seemed fresh was the crab Rangoon's and fried rice...which were delicious. Also ordered General Tso and sesame chicken very meh I even had a chicken bone in my food...the General Tso was not spicy at all so if that's what you're looking for make sure to request it also each bowl had some random broccoli on the bottom so that was strange....delivery was fast and polite so that was great! It would have been 3 stars but the man I spoke to on the phone seemed very rude so I felt that was deserving of another docked point because I almost just ordered a pizza instead... It's Christmas day, and I was looking forward to my tradition of picking up Chinese food after the family get together. I ordered Mushu pork, my favorite. Got home, and I see some dark spots on the wrappers that are encased in plastic. Upon opening the plastic, I can clearly see the mold throughout and dinner was ruined. Yummy in my tummy!!!! Don't be scared by the menu on the wall ...we saw it and we're ready to leave but then they gave us a full menu and we decided to give it a try... Really reasonably priced and delicious!! The lunch specials are the best! Under 6 dollars for rice, main dish and a pop! Only thing was the rice was a bit dry but the hot sauce fixed that We need a place like this in LA!!! Maybe the owners want to branch out?!?! Ordered a bunch of food. Asked specifically for Chicken Fried Rice ($6.25). They charged me for an upgraded version ($7.25 Teriyaki Chicken with white rice) and then never delivered it. Not sure what's happening at this restaurant, but when we called in, they asked us to send them a screenshot of the online order, as if that's how you run a business. The whole point of online ordering is that I, very specifically, make my selection without someone else at the restaurant misinterpreting the order. Yellow fried rice? Ok that's different. Not bad but too many onions for me and not enough shrimp. Had maybe 6 pieces and I ordered a large. Sweet and sour chicken is not good at all. IN LOVE with this place. This place is a great little chinese place that has such great food for a great cheap price. I would highly recommend their lunch special on the back of their menu. For around $5 each you get a meal, rice, and a soda pop or soup. I always get the Egg Drop soup (only one I've tried here) and it's amazing. When I'm sick I tend to get take-out and it always hits the spot. They're always very generous when it comes to giving out sweet & sour sauce and other extra sauces that you may need. I get the Egg Drop soup as take out often and it's so insanely cheap for the large amount you receive. I cannot use the delivery option due to living so far away from town but I know a lot of other people who use it and say they're very fast with their runs. This place is truly a hidden gem worth checking out. read more

Just had their food for the first time via delivery. Ordered online, made a couple notes. They followed through perfect and the delivery was super fast. We couldn't believe how fast they were. The food was good with no complaints. Wife picky eater and she loved the garlic beef. I got the hunan chicken and was pretty good. They did make a mistake by sending the wrong 2L soda but they got back here in less than 10 min to give the correct soda. We all make mistakes which is why I still gave 5 stars. I've been to this place probably 5 or six times since I moved to the QC. I'm always pleased with my meals and it's the one take out place that I don't mind placing my order at the counter vs. calling ahead. They are always super quick and max wait time has been 7 or 8 minutes. I have to say I'm kinda boring when it comes to Chinese - I alternate between the same two entrees. Beef lo mein and the General Tso's. Both are tasty and feature nice crisp veggies. The low light so to speak would be the egg rolls. They can be greasy. read more

This place was my first try and I'm sticking with it. I ordered the General Tso's Chicken Combo with Wonton Soup. I'm a real critic when it comes to this order because when I try a new Chinese place this is the first dish I judge them on. It's not hard to mess this dish up, but you'd be surprised. This place, however, nailed it. Can't complain whatsoever. The food arrived hot, cooked thoroughly and they got the sauce just right. Wasn't feeling great, & was craving egg drop soup. So I decided o order lunch from Great Wall. My previous neighbor had worked for them years ago, I had heard good things about this place so decided to give them a try! Ordering online was very easy, & when I chose something that would raise my total, someone from the restaurant phoned to ask if that was all right. I appreciated that. Easy ordering, easy payment (I used my debit card, felt secure in doing so.) Delivery woman was very friendly, I had gone downstairs to check my mail, so I caught her before she had to ride up to my floor. Portions were good sized, I will be having Chinese again! Plenty of sauces included. I think Great Wall has just earned another regular customer! With not being able to get out much, this is great that the food is brought to me. :) Oh, I had the beef & mushrooms over fried rice, some crab rangoon, and an egg roll. This is a family favorite!! The food is always hot and fresh and delivery is always quick! They have great lunch specials and pricing is always reasonable.
