Purchased a 2007 wakesetter in February '16, contract stated 3 parts were to be fixed before purchasing. It was documented and I purchased it. The boat was delivered 3 weeks later. The trailer brakes, Bimini top and partial winterization was not completed. They shipped the boat not ready. Service has been un satisfactory so far. I paid out of pocket to remedy the issues and get repairs fixed so that the boat was functional/towable. Still waiting for a response for some sort of reimbursement on repairs. it is now June. Just saw ad posted by this company, totaled Hewescraft, selling as damage from accident where boat came off trailer, and that it is a great buy for someone who doesnt mind cosmetics!!!! I bought a boat from here at the end of December, 2019 and they were super friendly and helpful. Pricing was fair and they threw in a bunch of used stuff like dock lines, life jackets, etc. -- so I could take it right out on the water. They encouraged a full boat inspection since it was sold as is without warranty. It was well worth the peace of mind for that. Icing on the cake: in April 2020 I found that the battery wasn't holding a charge after sitting over the winter and without hesitation they exchanged it for a good one even though I had no warranty on it. Not pushy at all and felt like he was honest about everything the whole time. Also got what we felt was a great deal on the boat, especially given how good of condition it was in. Called and left a message for Tim regarding a boat that was just listed. Tim did not return my call so I called back and he told me he was aware I wanted a call back. Asked if the boat I wanted was still available and told him we wanted to buy it and what I needed to do. Tim stated he would send me the application for financing; however the financing company would close in the next couple of hours so we may not hear back till the morning. He said he would have the closing docs completed after hearing back from the finance company. Explained we live 2.5 hours away and we want the boat. He stated it would take him 2 hours after the finance company sent him the approval for all the docs to go through. Completed the financing sent it back, within 30 minutes got a message that my credit was checked from the credit bureau. Called Tim right before they close to see if they heard anything back, he stated no so we would have to wait till the morning. Next day comes and I receive an email not a phone call back from Tim who states he sold he boat yesterday and left a message for financing to not run my credit as soon as he found out he was selling the boat. I called the financing and they said Tim messaged them at 11PM and that we were approved for the exact terms Tim submitted the day before. Poor customer service to not contact us to say there was someone interested in the boat after he already started the process for us to buy, not to mention I talked to him right before they closed and he mentioned nothing of someone else looking at the boat. I would never have had my credit ran knowing there was another deal going on which is now obviously why he was being shady and dishonest the entire time. read more

Had a really good experience with Great wakes marina. I purchased a used boat from Tim. The boat was very well priced and in great condition. It was about 4-5k below the low Nada value (with add ons). Naturally, when something is so well priced, suspicions are raised. I had a buyers pre inspection done (which I highly recommend) by the boat doctor. Refer to my review of the boat doctor, also highly recommended. Tim was honest about the small problems the boat had, such as a ballast gate not closing and the horn not activating. The cover was also torn from the transport up form California. The boat doctor fixed those simple deficiencies with the boat during the inspection, which came back flawless. The entire process was smooth and enjoyable. Took my new boat out yesterday and everything was working/functioning perfectly. I scoured the internet for days trying to find a better deal on this specific boat, and couldn't by at least $3,000, sometimes upwards of 10-15k. Tim threw in an extra set of tower speakers to make up for the cover, and had them installed by the time I picked up my boat. He also had it lightly detailed before I arrived. I purchased a 2007 Centurion in March '16 and as any smart buyer of a used vessel, I had a mechanic check out the boat prior to purchasing. They recommended The Boat Doc in Springfield. After his "inspection", I made the purchase and blew the transmission in June because of a bad impeller (which wasn't recommended to change before using). If you are going to buy a used boat from these guys, take it somewhere else for an inspection. $3500 and a full summer of repair, I'm hoping we are ready to hit the water in 2017. read more
