One thing we've definitely learned while living in the Midwest is that bar-and-grill style restaurants are deeply woven into the dining culture here. Sioux Falls has many places with this sort of atmosphere, and honestly, we've adapted fairly well to it even though it differs a lot from some of the larger-city dining scenes we were used to previously. Unfortunately, the food itself just didn't quite work for us. We ordered steak, jambalaya, and buffalo wings. The steak, despite being ordered medium rare, came out drier than we would have liked and lacked much distinctive flavor. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't memorable either. The jambalaya was probably the biggest disappointment of the evening. It was overwhelmingly salty to the point where it became difficult to really enjoy the dish underneath the seasoning. The buffalo wings were acceptable enough, but again, they also leaned dry. Service was understandably stretched because of how busy the restaurant was, though the staff themselves seemed to be working hard under the pressure. Overall, this simply wasn't quite our cup of tea in terms of either the food or the atmosphere. I can understand why it appeals to many locals looking for a lively Friday night gathering spot, but for us personally, it probably isn't somewhere we'd return to. A 2 out of 5 from us.

I made a Yelp account just to share this. This last Sunday the 29th, was my very first time stopping in GreatShots. My gals and I were looking for a nice spot to hang out and grab a bite. Our experience was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we entered the building, we were greeted and asked how our day was and how they could get us started. The employees at the front desk got us seated right away, and the service outside was amazing. The same employee who greeted us at the door also brought us our food and made sure everything was perfect. I will definitely be returning when I visit Sioux Falls again! read more

My family goes here all the time. Saturday Aug 26,2023, we felt very disrespected by the manager named Lauren with a pink hat. she was very racist and would not put us on a waiting list. She called my brother a lier because he told her we called ahead of time (which we did) She continued to provide service to everyone behind him (which were all white) and would not put us on the wait List. When my brother asked anything they said the people behind us were there to actually "play/golf" and we were not--like wtf else is there to freaking do?? Cons: Because it's a shared venue you could occasionally hear the music from the club side of the venue. The bathrooms were also shared which prevented the usual bathroom necessities you find during weddings. There was no coat check, only rolling hangers which I periodically checked on since it was closer to the shared doorway. And the structure of the building meant there were pillars blocking some folks during speeches. Overall this was a solid venue to have a wedding, and they did a really good job setting up tables, and with the food.
