Hired them to "trim" a tree. They basically chopped it in half. It looked so ridiculous it had to be removed. On top of that, they had the audacity to charge me. Any company can cut down a tree. A company that says they have an Arborist should be able to trim a tree better than I could have done myself. read more

Great Lakes Tree Service came to our house today to remove several trees and debris from the storm on July 28th. Huge trees fell on our house causing extensive damage. After contacting our insurance co. they suggested to remove the trees etc. so they could evaluate the damage to our house. We contacted your service yesterday and the workers showed up today. I must say they were the most professional, efficient men I have ever seen. They not only cut the trees but also completely cleaned the ground of debris. Amazing service. Dave Mathews is the owner operator of this professional crew. First of all he is a hard working local family guy who will do what he tells you. Second his team is efficient and thorough. We asked him to remove some trees and trim up some others at two separate locations. Even though it was last minute and in the middle of his peak season, luckily they made every effort to get us scheduled in and finished the work in less than a day. I had a 60'-plus Tri-color Beech tree trimmed. They called ahead and showed up on time. The manager and crew were knowledgeable and very customer-friendly. They answered all my questions courteously. The trimmer involved me in the process with questions and suggestions because he wanted to make sure I was satisfied with their work. They did a good job of cleaning up afterwards. read more
