Duluth is now using a shipper who employes gig-economy workers to make their deliveries. The shipper shows, by photo evidence, that the package was placed in our USPS mailbox. Never mind that it is illegal to put their packages in our USPS mailbox. The point is that it was not there when I gathered our mail that evening. I contacted Duluth customer service (twice and worked my way up the supervisor ladder) and was told that it falls on me to check with USPS to see if they accidently picked it up. And to get with the shipper to figure things out with them. Not Duluth's problem. Too bad...so sad. The onus is on me to figure out where the package went. I was told multiple times that refunding or reshipping was against Duluth's policy. Considering I've been a loyal Duluth customer for many, many years, and have run significant amounts across their registers, I was stunned to be treated this way. Never again will I order anything from Duluth if their attitude is - well if it gets there good...if not, you figure it out.

I need to go pick up one of those Vexilar hoodies... I was impressed with the wide variety of jeans, Carhartt gear and a huge selection of boots of all ages. Up the stairs is anything you would need for a day out on the water (or frozen water). From rods to anchors, from vexilars to live bait, this place truly has it all! I have never used their live bait so honestly I don't know the quality of it. The staff is friendly and quite knowledgeable as well. This is the only spot I go whenever I need new tackle or gear for ice fishing or summer fishing.

They have all the flies you need for smallmouth bass and some choice flies for chasing trout on the North Shore. You aren't going to find anything out of the ordinary but what they have is well tied. Their deer hunting gear and clothing selection is solid. I picked up a pair of Thinsulate lined wool mitts (flip open mittens with half fingers) for $11. The same mitts are $5 more at the big-box stores. It's nice to see small shops making a go of it in competition with (in sight of) WalMart.
