Just had the hot Italian Sandwich. Awesome. And the beers are great as always. I highly recommend coming here. It's always a good experience. read more

The beers good. I do not recommend any food item. The burger was very dry. Hard to swallow. I placed my order and my burger was handed to me 3 minutes later. Obviously not cooked fresh and was sitting there for hours. Ordered Mac and cheese and it came in a small square lump and was hard. It had been sitting there for hours or even days. The portion sizes are enough to feed a small child nowhere near an average adult human. For any tourists like us go for the beer not the food. read more

This place isn't worth your time if you want to host a get together. They over charge for the food and drinks. Who wants to pay for a 12 ounce can of pop for 2 dollars. Also the menu price for pulled pork is 8 dollars with a side but instead they charge you 10 dollars. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!! read more

Great food, service, and beer!!! If we're ever back this way, we're going to stop back in!

We make a "pilgrimage" to Great Crescent Brewery each year when we drive down to Friendship, IN for the Whispering Beard Folk Festival. I LOOOOVE their beers! We have some cans of black lager, porter, and barrel-aged stout that we've been doling out. The environment is cool, it's set up in a large rustic old warehouse. There's a pretty impressive collection of beer cans on display: my favorite was the Who-Dey Hudey. If you're driving down to Cincinnati on a food run to Jungle Jim's, it's definitely worth a quick detour to do a flight and maybe bring back some cans for your next party. The owner/brewmaster guy was cool and eager to talk about some of their upcoming brews. We have had the pretzels and cheese, tasty and priced right. They also serve pizza. The space doubles as a local art gallery, with various paintings, photos, crafts, and even a few antiques on display at times. Big time bonus points for CANNING the beer instead of bottling it. Flavors are better, it lasts longer, and we're able to bring it with us to festivals! read more

Great Crescent Brewery - The bar at Great Crescent - Breweries Near Me - Aurora, Indiana

No opinion to give ZERO STARS so had to give 1star Very rude people and when you call to say something they start harassing you with phone calls the better business bureau has be contacted read more

Very good pub food. Excellent craft beer. Neat space in old warehouse. Stop by and talk to the brewers. They have a good story. Take home a 4 pack of their delish beers. Can be a destination or a side trip on the road. read more

I live in Aurora and am so happy to have this place so close to me! The food is amazing, and the beer is unbelievable. I have been here twice now and have ordered the Cuban and the Bologna sandwich - so good!! I also tried their Blonde beer and they had another on tap that I believe was a lime flavored beer, they both were excellent! I highly recommend this place!! The owner is fantastic and the atmosphere is perfect! read more

Awesome little brewery in Aurora, IN. Not just great beers but also loved the Cuban sandwich with homemade bread and homemade Canadian bacon. And their soda are really good too. read more

We just had lunch here and all I can say is....WOW! An amazing list of draft beers brewed right there and great sandwiches. The Ruben and the Cuban were both fantastic. We left there with a bottle of their house made spicy mustard and a growler of Cosmic IPA. The owner was behind the bar and just a fantastic guy. read more

The atmosphere was really cool. The art deco back bar looked like something from The Shining, and the dining area was industrial meets rural. I felt very welcomed and relaxed there. Dan, the owner, was welcoming and attentive. We greatly enjoyed the cherry ale, IPA, and lime shandy. Our sandwiches, the housemade canadian bacon and provolone, and fried bologna were absolutely delicious, especially with the jalapeno mustard. The brewery is 25 minutes from my house (we were on a Saturday drive headed nowhere in particular when we discovered the place), but we will definitely be back! read more

This place just keeps getting better! Spicy shrimp tacos were delicious as was the espresso cupcake. The beer they make is nothing short of outstanding. Dan and Lani are real assets to the Aurora area...super friendly. Great atmosphere. read more

I had lunch here today and it was pretty awesome. The food was fantastic and the two beers were outstanding. I had the black lager and the bourbon stout. Highly recommend. read more

This place is the best. Not only is the food absolutely delicious and unique, the beer is excellent and the atmosphere is so inviting and comforting. I say the food is unique because it's not your typical "bar food." They have a great selection and everything tastes so fresh, the pulled pork is my favorite! It's such a neat building, clean and well kept. And let's not forget the owners! Some of the nicest people I've met, they really make you feel welcome. Just really good folks! Highly recommend this place, it's definitely a step above any other bar/brewery I've visited! Wish I lived closer to it, I'd be there every weekend. read more

Had an opportunity to stop by for lunch while out biking with my wife a few days ago. What a great find! Exceptionally friendly service with food and beer to match. Eclectic art and "brewpunk" items on sale adds a nice touch. definitely worth the 1/4 mile trip from the end of the "official" Aurora bike trail. Will be making it a point to return any time we are in area. read more

We stopped in here on a whim driving around Aurora, and we're so glad we did! We had the blonde ale, the spicy Italian sausage sandwich, and the linguica sandwich. These were all excellent. They make and smoke their sausages and bake their sandwich rolls onsite. It was also the brewery's 7th anniversary, so they were giving out cupcakes with the meals. The pistachio ones were very tasty :-) The decor is really cool. It's in an old building, maybe an old warehouse? It is a large open space. The beams and brick are exposed. The floor is unfinished concrete. The decor is a bit steam punk and the bar itself appears vintage. It was a little chilly today when we were there, so a sweatshirt would be advisable. I wouldn't say that it is "nice", but it is clean and the service is good. We really enjoyed it. :-) read more

My wife and I discovered GCB about 3 months ago and have been there 4 times since. They serve upscale bar food; my favorite sandwich is the smoked balogna. Their version of baked beans, Dads Bean are very good. Nothing fancy here but definitely worth a visit. read more

A Hidden GEM with great beers! You will find yourself having great conversations! The food was excellent too!

Cool little brewery in downtown aurora. Good beer and really good sandwiches in an historic building. They don't do beer flights, but they will allow you to sample anything you want. read more

Everything we ate here was absolutely unreal! Casual menu but you can tell they use high quality ingredients. We even bought a bottle of their homemade BBQ sauce because it was so good. Great craft beers. It's nice how they let you taste each of the beers before ordering so you know what you're getting. And we really liked the rustic feel of the place. We live in Cincy and it was definitely worth the half hour drive and will definitely be coming back. read more

Awesome! We were in town for an event and stopped in on a Friday night based on Yelp reviews. We were so pleased with the beer, food, and atmosphere that we brought a party of 12 there the next night. We all tried a number of the beers and were happy with all of them. All of us enjoyed the food as well. It's a limited menu, but what they serve goes really well with the beer! I liked the brisket sandwich so much, I ordered the same thing the next night. read more

I visited over Christmas break. I had the Cuban Sandwich, which was excellent. I enjoyed the Brown Ale. Loved the atmosphere.

Was looking forward to trying their beer and filling my growlers after hearing so much about them. Well, they no longer fill growlers which is very disappointing. At post their website said they fill growlers but apparently this is no longer true. I broke down and bought a 4 pack but to me it just tastes like stale aluminum. Yes some of us just can't stand to drink beer out of aluminum cans. Had such high hopes. I'm sure the pizza is good and the place was really neat inside with a cool location. Hopefully someday they refill growlers like most true craft brewers! read more

We happened to be visiting family that has recently moved to Rising Sun and like to support local establishments. Made it a point to stop in to Great Crescent Brewery and much to my surprise wasn't expecting a quaint place with option to purchase items other than beer. I love this is a community of Artisans and local grown products. Dan was very pleasant and interesting to talk to - he told us how he came to start Great Crescent and his journey to becoming a beer master. Myself not being a beer drinker Dan gave me a few of the best sellers and his favorites to taste test. I took advantage of the special event. Canvas Bag Gift Packs and purchased other items from local artisans - love the chalkboard coasters. What a great gift idea. The only regret I had was we would not be in town to attend the local happenings or taste their food. Will for sure be going back to Great Crescent Brewery on our next family visit! read more
