So yesterday I had my appointment to dye my hair red. My experience with Starz' customer service…read morewas superb the day before and I was so looking forward to working with my stylist new Jessie (hope I spelled her name right) . She was FANTASTIC! I was going from a dark brown to a vibrant red and it was A LOT of work. We removed the color it had before, dyed it red and were unsatisfied with the results. But that didn't stop her, she came back with a cherry red dye that left my hair looking amazing! Its bright, and vibrant and the best shade red ever. I would even go brighter next time, and I won't go to anyone other than Jessie. She simply was the best! I would recommend this salon to anyone. It was busy, customers were happy, everyone knew everyone and it was a warm atmosphere. Well done Starz Salon, you have a new client for sure!

(4/5) I want to…read moreshare my full experience at Starz Salon because while things ended on a great note, the beginning was incredibly stressful and disappointing. My original stylist, Emma, had to cancel last minute due to illness, which I completely understood. Since I was heading out of town for vacation and needed my hair done beforehand, the salon rescheduled me for that Saturday with another stylist (whom I won't name out of courtesy). Unfortunately, the appointment went terribly. I was quoted a price and given a timeframe of 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. for a tone, glaze, and haircut. I ended up being there from 11 a.m. until after 3 p.m. nearly four hours and I never even received the haircut. The total price I paid was much more than originally quoted (even without the haircut) The color process was poorly executed: my hair came out overly ashy, spotty, and completely off from what I requested. The stylist had to re-glaze it, but I was still charged for that re-glaze even though it was correcting her own mistake. I also specifically said I didn't want a full blow-dry just enough to make sure my hair looked okay for my trip but I was still charged for a full 30-minute blow dry I never wanted. Worse, during the service, I told the stylist that my scalp was hurting, and she dismissed it, saying it was probably just "stress." When I got home, my husband noticed visible burn marks on my scalp. That was alarming and honestly made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Then, she told me she wanted to dry my hair before cutting it, which is not standard and made me extremely uncomfortable. At that point, I was so uneasy with the entire experience that I lied and said I had another appointment just to get out of the chair. I left without a haircut and very upset. To the salon's credit, the owner personally reached out to me afterward, apologized, and promised to make it right. Although it couldn't be fixed immediately due to the holiday weekend and my vacation, they followed through... When I returned, Emma (my original stylist) was finally able to see me, and she did an incredible job. She corrected the color beautifully, gave me a deep shampoo treatment, and finally gave me the haircut I'd originally booked. She's professional, kind, and clearly knows what she's doing. I'm not writing this to bash Starz Salon. Mistakes happen but clients should never leave with burns, poor color, or feeling dismissed. That said, it's not about how you start, but how you finish and the salon made sure I was taken care of in the end. Thank you, Emma and the team, for turning it around.

I had the last appointment of the day and the last rushed me into a color and hair cut appointment. The silver lining was, I was charged $230 for all this crap. Ended up getting a second hair cut and coloring from PARLR in Framingham. Please don't go here. I'm 100% confident that the reviews are fake.

I was really really bored with my hair. You can see a version of it in my profile pic. Straight,…read moreblunt cut, originally chin level when I lopped off a ponytail for one of those donation sites, it had grown out to my shoulders and because my hair has a lot of natural body and some wave and curl to it, I was getting a very triangular shape. I had no idea what to do with it, other than grow it out again, but I was tired of that cycle, too, since I've done it several times in the past decade. It's also going pretty grey in spots and I'm not sure another 'tail would work for those wig organizations because of that. I needed someone to just make a decision about my hair and cut it. I didn't care what the results were, what the style was, anything at all. I just needed something different. My husband half-jokingly suggested I take his clippers, buy some gel and go for the Annie Lennox look and I was actually OK with that. Christina took on the challenge. She chose a layered look that is both blowdryer and product-optional (YAY!). It's fabulous, super easy to take care of and suits me well! I would have never thought of layers and I'm glad she chose this cut.

Similar appointment scheduling nightmare as some other reviewers…read more.. I had a 3:30 appointment, and when I booked it, Sara asked if I could come in any earlier. I let her know that I couldn't & that I was coming directly from work. She said that was fine. Well, I guess it wasn't. I could tell that I was running late & I called from the car to let them know, but no one answered. I arrived 5 minutes after my appointment time, and the door was locked. I called, I texted, I called some more. Nothing. I even wrote an email. No response from the business. Part of me was hoping that maybe I was the only appointment of the day at that Sara was also running late. After sitting outside for 20 minutes, a cancellation notification pop into my inbox. So I guess that's the level of customer service you get from this place. I can't even rate their services, but the experience was terrible and I won't ever try to book here again. Note to whoever at MSM -- if you don't want people booking certain times slots, don't make them available to book!
