Sabrina was good. She was very nice and polite and did a good job on my requested hair cut, however, the lady that cut my son's hair should prolly have her license revoked. I've seen better work from a blind monkey. Then when asked to correct it and if they couldn't fix it just to do a fade the other lady whom has been pretty rude to a few customers "fixed" it then had a sarcastic tone with me about it. Great Clips online check-in is absolute garbage. It will say you will be ready in 25 minutes, you show up, and now you have several walk-ins who somehow jumped the line and now your wait is 55 minutes after the 25 you planned for. Most of the employees at this location have zero manners and will talk back to you when you ask about the delay. Some are great, but most you should avoid. Just go to another barber or have your spouse cut your hair. There are better barbers within 500 meters, you just need to plan on them being open. Today was the fourth time this has happened at this specific location over the last 2 years. It's my fault for not knowing better. *P.S. - Wish I could give 0 stars. read more

I do not recommend getting a haircut from the Great Clips in Twinsburg, OH. Me and my sisters went earlier today and their hair was absolutely butchered. They both asked for a trim, maybe 3-4 inches, with light layering. That is not what they received. Their hair was cut way shorter than they asked and their layers are horrifically uneven, as well as too short for the length of their hair. It looks as if a 3 year-old took craft scissors to their hair. Although the two ladies were nice and friendly, they should have their license revoked. My sisters are completely devastated and will never go back there again. read more

I have been coming to this location for many years. The staff has always been very professional and excellent at their jobs. Lately, I have been seeing Heather who has helped me a lot with keeping my hair fairly long for an old guy but making it look good. She always has good tips and is happy to show me how to use the different products. I will continue coming to this great clips because of the excellent customer service. read more

I recently moved to a predominantly Caucasian area and I saw that Great Clips had a sale on haircuts. I did not want to just walk in and be told we don't cut kinky textured hair. However I said what the heck. I was greated warmly and in a seat within minutes. Saturday, January 21, 2023 experience from my 16 year old daughter who will NEVER go back. First, the Great Clips experience itself was decent in my opinion. I felt the waiting was a reasonable time and my hair got done pretty quickly. But as for my haircut? It's absolutely terrible and looks nothing like what I asked for. Mindy was the hairstylist that cut my hair and literally from the beginning I had a feeling she didn't have any experience with natural curly hair. First, she untangled my hair while it was mostly dry. She was using a spray bottle to make it wet enough to detangle but even from me trying that on my own at home, my hair doesn't get wet enough from that. With curly hair, you aren't supposed to detangle it while it's dry because it'll mostly be frizzy and still be tangled. And in general, it isn't good to detangle curly hair while it's dry because it'll lead to a lot of hair being pulled out or "breakage." Again, she was wetting my hair with a bottle but it wasn't wet enough to start detangling. Second, I could tell Mindy wasn't aware that naturally curly hair "shrinks" when it dries up. That's called shrinkage. Shrinkage is when your hair gets shorter the more it dries. My shrinkage is pretty short and you could tell from the beginning- just by looking at my hair and even after wetting it (because of how long it is compared to how it looks dry)- that I have a decent amount of shrinkage. Mindy was cutting my hair without even thinking about how it'll look dry. I feel that as her job as a hairstylist, she should think about the hair she's working with and try her best to make it look like the photo or haircut her client asks for. ALSO, cannot forget to mention that the website says "We look forward to giving you the haircut you want. To make it more convenient for you." She obviously, didn't make it "convenient" for me at all nor did she give me the haircut I wanted at all. Third, she was cutting my hair short way too quickly and she was treating my hair as a barber or other hairdresser would treat a person with non-curly hair. She looked at the photo I provided once, and only asked if I wanted my hair to be cut over the ear. She didn't ask any other questions about the haircut which made me assume she understood what I wanted. She went straight to cutting super close to my head and cutting off a lot of my hair. If I were to say anything about her cutting it too short, it would have already been too late for me to say anything because of how fast she started chopping off my hair. Fourth, I told Mindy that I wanted my hair to be on my eyebrows and it ended up being way over my eyebrows (more indication she has no idea how to cut curly hair) I also told her that I wanted my hair to be "poofy" on the top. She still cut it short even after saying that I wanted my hair to look a certain way. After she finished my haircut I told her "it looks really short" and her response was "welp, you're just going to have to grow that out." That was my experience with Mindy at Great Clips. This was my second time in my life cutting my hair really short, but at a different salon. The first time I cut my hair short was by a hispanic woman, who told me what she was doing at every step in case if I didn't like it I could tell her how I wanted it styled. Example: she'd say something like "I'm going to cut it right here so then it'll look good/better." She also did a couple of other things to make the haircut look good when it dried. THAT is making the haircut convenient for me. She knew in the picture I showed her that it wasn't my hair type so she improvised and made it look better or similar for my hair type. Mindy at Great Clips was the complete opposite of the first woman that cut my hair. No experience, no saying what she was going to do, no asking to see the photo again if she wasn't sure, nothing. I am a Hispanic with natural curls and Mindy had no clue what she was doing. My haircut is atrocious Nothing like how I wanted it. read more

Never again! We went here strictly to "trim" my sons longer hair to get his bangs out of his eyes. That turned into at least 4-5 inches take off and shaved off his side burns, shaved around his ears with long hairs sticking out. Another stylist attempted to correct it but by then the damage was already done and it just couldn't be blended. We were there over an hour for this poor child's haircut! I honestly can't believe they still charged us for the haircut. I was so angry by the time we were checking out I was willing to pay double just to leave and take him somewhere to get it fixed. It looks like an 80's bowl cut with super short bangs. I feel so awful he is so upset Luckily we were able to get into a local barber shop, pay for their haircuts again but they are very happy with them! read more

Heather at Great Clips is as good as they get. The hours are convenient, the staff is friendly, and the salon is clean and well kept. Have never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes and, like most people, I am very particular about my hair. Heather does a great job but I only go to this Great Clips because of her....if she worked somewhere else, I would be there. The price is extremely reasonable and they don't try to hard sell you on products, although they do make suggestions. read more

I've been rocking a wash'n'go pixie cut for over 10 years now. I tend to wear it shorter in summer and longer in winter. When you have short hair, you really have to get it cut every 4-6 weeks or it starts to look pretty grown out. Going to a pricey salon just isn't an option - enter Great Clips. My own personal experiences with Heather and AnnMarie at the Twinsburg location have been fantastic. I've had haircuts with both of them. If you want short, stylish, feminine (think Ginnifer Goodwin, Katy Perry, etc.) just bring in a photo of what you want and they can copy that style!
