The husb went to get a haircut while I went to PT and checked in online. He thought he times it perfectly but then wasn't even in the chair before my appointment ended. The wait times went from 3 hours, to 40 min, to an hour showing on the app, and were completely inaccurate. When he finally got in the lady who cut his hair did not listen to his requests and he was really unhappy with the way it looked. We have been to many a Great Clip salon from here to California and this one did not meet our expectations, unfortunately. read more

Lately I've been going to the hair schools in Port Angeles for cuts only because weeding through all the smaller places is too time consuming...and I called them 2 days ago to try to book something but they were filled. So I thought I'll just swing by GreAt Clips right? I walk in and was blown away when they told me a 2 hour wait! Terrible! One stylist and one receptionist! Stylist is more interested in talking than cutting hair. 120+ minute wait became 186 minute wait. Eventually down to 57 minute wait. Thinking there was a technical issue, I went to the solan and checked in. In the next 30 minutes this guy cut one person's hair and was working on another. I was still 4th on the list. Asked for a small trim like 1" with little choppy layers in the back. My hair was halfway down my back when I came in. older salon lady went on a chopping spree and now I can Barely put my hair into a ponytail. The huge obvious "chunks" ("layers") from my eyes to my chin are awful and horridly short. I explained to her this was WAY shorter than I asked and she just tried to blow dry and poof it up to style it trying to convince me how cute it was. Very upset. If she wanted to cut half my hair off and try a new style she should have asked me instead of going gung ho on her own. I will not be returning here ever again. read more

In my opinion, who ever owns this business is a good example of managerial greed and incompetence. When you make an on-line appointment they give you a time slot that is two or more hours away, then when you actually arrive you have to wait another two hours because they don't have enough barbers! This high employee turnover means you never get the same barber which means you could have a trainee and will probably get a bad hair cut! Worse yet, while I was waiting in the lobby, an elderly woman (approximately 85 years old and in a wheelchair) came in for her appointment. She was told they had no one to take care of her for four and one half hours. This disabled person used She used the disabled persons mass transit bus to get to Great Clips; now they won't be able to pick her up for another hour or two. What a waste! You know... Great Clips is pretty decent for what it is. I'm amazed how they completely eclipsed SuperCuts in the sheer number of storefronts you see around. The mobile checkin option is such a nasty little secret for those who aren't aware or don't have a smartphone! You basically checkin...and cut in front of EVERYONE that is in there waiting. This is a good thing, because it seems like there is always 3.5 screaming kids and screaming parents. I'm curious how much Great Clips pays their employees. I've been to many locations and the turnover seems HUGE. Retaining great employees takes decent pay, and I wonder if they are a growth opportunity here. $6 if you just need a mens "trim." read more

So I called Great Clips here in Sequim because I wanted to have some extensions cut to hair length, the gal I spoke to on the phone said it was totally okay that the wait time was one minute and to come right in. When I arrived the manager told me absolutely not she would not cut my extensions and she didn't even apologize for the inconvenience, when I asked why they told me otherwise on the phone the girl I spoke to yelled at me from across the room that she just didn't know ... how is that my fault ? Very disappointed with great clips. I used to go here every other week and was in and out. If I had a wait time it was normally a reasonable wait time for there wait list. Today I was given an hour and a half wait time. Almost 2 hours later I was still 3 people down with an hour wait time. I decided to wait as they said I may get my haircut sooner. Waiting I watch the stylist stand still and preach their interpretation on things. They bashed the Christian bible. Preached feministic ideology, don't get me wrong all the power to women and I believe in equal rights but, when I sit there and listen to them say women are smarter than men and men hindered societies progress. I was not thrilled. On top of that they began to bash god and Jesus saying they're evil for creating wars. Beyond disappointed with this location. Not customer friendly whatsoever. I waited 2 hours for a haircut after calling in an hour and a half ahead of time. I finally walked out. My latest 2 haircuts were not good. I will not be going back until things change. First off my son's haircut looks horrible. Next, he now has head lice. I secluded him to the house for 2 weeks prior because he was sick. First time out in town he went to get his hair cut then straight back home. 2 days later he starts scratching uncontrollably. I gave him a bath and found 3 head lice. I called the salon and they told me I could have brought them home. But he is the only one that has it. My son sleeps in bed with me every night. the lady who works "AFTER 5 BY MYSELF!!" is the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I checked in on line and while my wife was in safeway, I walked over to see if my time was any closer and the vile woman walked over to me while I was walking in and stated that it was a 2 hour wait as she was by herself and that if I hadn't checked in on line then I was just uninformed on how things worked around there. she never gave me a chance to speak and their wasn't a smile or greeting at all. there was a woman behind me and she just turned around and walked out. there was NO ONE IN THE SHOP getting hair done that I could see. maybe they were in the bathroom. I just left and went to wal-mart where that person acted happy to help and have the business. I have posted this comment on facebook and will try to steer everyone away from this business. they are many small business's struggling today that want your business to stay alive and they deserve it more than someone who may have been having a bad day but take it out on unsuspecting clients. this lady or manager needs to find another job read more
