I went here 8/11/2025 and I asked for a V cut, showed pictures. The lady sheared one side and did not shear the other side. You're going to leave with wet hair so you're not going to be able to see what your hair even looks like.. I left with a terrible haircut and I'm leaving this review in hopes people don't destroy something that is really important to them -their hair. I waited five months to cut my hair again and it grew out terribly uneven and I had to cut a ton of length off to fix the mistakes of that woman. I would never come here again and I definitely should have asked for a refund. Please look for a different place because it does not seem like the people in charge care to hire good people. Ok so I went for my monthly hair cut. Nothing really fancy summer cut #2 all the way around. Having said that my haircut professional did really good. I was exhausted and I honestly really didn't pay attention until the next morning when the brain fog had lifted. I honestly don't know if I've ever gotten that good of a haircut. Normally the next morning I have to fix some spots with my own home razor because they missed something. Not this time. She did a great job! read more

Not the first incident I came in i was in line she called out my name as i asked if i can have the man cut my childs hair he was walking out of the salon she said " hes on break with an attitude" then proceeded to call out other names , she has no basic communication skills . She did not ask if i wanted to wait 30 minutes or she can assist she just ignored and i asked her ? Apparently the owner of the Scottsdale salons very recently made the decision to eliminate the ability for the customer of a salon to call to find out if their preferred stylist is working that day. I have been long time customer of Great Clips and one of the major factors has been the ability to schedule a stylist with whom I have established a level of confidence. Short of driving to the salon, there is no way to verify this. This change will very likely to result in my changing to a salon that is not affiliated with Great Clips so that I am able to schedule with a known stylist. This was a VERY short sighted decision in my opinion. read more

My brother was getting a haircut and the barber was absolutely horrendous. She wouldn't talk to my brother about what he wanted, and proceeded to ask SOMEONE ELSE what he wanted. She kept cutting it too short and instead of giving him curtain bangs as we explicitly told her, she gave him a BOWL CUT. She didn't give us an option not to tip and if we could we would demand a refund. She was actively rude and said halfway though she said if we don't tell her what we wanted she would tell us to leave. If she didn't know what she was doing I would rather she have told us then destroying his hair. My experience at this location has been hit or miss. I get a decent haircut, but often feel like I'm met with a fair amount of ambivalence from the person cutting my hair. I appreciate knowing beforehand how long the wait is and the frequent coupons, but I really dislike feeling like another sheep who has been put in the chute to be shorn of my fleece. Unfortunately, it's a bit par for the course for most places these days--ambivalent customer service there to operate like a human kiosk to perform a function without really caring too much about those they are being paid to serve. the only reason this even gets a review is because I dont want the guy male barber being lumped in with the incompetent woman that I always encounter. Went in this morning right as they opened because I really needed haircut and it wouldnt let me check in online. Got there at at 10:02 when it opened at 10 and already had 3 people in front of me. There is a foreign woman that works there and was there this morning (I think she's a manager)that has messed up my hair too many times and has messed up 3 of my sons heads with shotty haircuts. I've been coming to this Great Clips for several years for haircuts. They're quick and pretty much always do a good job. Sure, I've had a person every now and then that wasn't all that great, but I've never had anyone completely butcher my hair. All the hairdressers are friendly. I always check in on the app when I come in (they don't take reservations) and I never have to wait more than about 10 mins when I arrive. At $14 a haircut they're pretty reasonable to begin with, but they offer deals a few times throughout the year & are always mailing out coupons. read more

Got my first haircut in months. The staff was great. EVERYONE was required to wire a mask(Would've not went in if that wasn't the case). Very bad experience with the middle eastern women. I don't believe she has any skills in cutting hair. The manager Colleen decided that the she would side with the stylist who used thinning shears as a method to cut hair. This was the absolute worst haircut I have EVER had. It will take months to grow it out. Why the stylist used thinning shears on my straight hair is insane! I now wear my hair in a pony tail everyday to hide the horrific mess made at the hands of someone who clearly has no skill in cutting hair. Save your time and money and go to Fantastic Sams where they are much better at cutting hair and believe that customers are important. read more

They are always in a rush to finish my haircut within ten minutes. EVERY SINGLE TIME they fail to cut my hair how i ask them. I ask them for a fade, they cut it all one length. I ask them for a disconnect, they literally just didnt do it then insisted they did. Cuts have been uneven and sloppy, consistently! I have gone to a different person each time snd STILL get terrible service. The customer service and professionalism just isnt there. On top of that i have always been a great tipper. Came into today and I told the lady (believe her name is Abby) I wanted a "high fade with a number 0 on the sides." For some very odd reason she only did one side and I didn't noticed till I got home cause she had my hair combed over to one side so I didn't noticed the other side was uneven till I got home to wash my hair. 1st experience was great that's why I came back. 2nd was horrible with this simple fade I wanted. The guy who tried to fix my hair when I came was real nice to me. But he told me "this is the style." And I responded "it's NOT my style!" I don't know what was going on with the lady who cut my hair but I guess she decided to do her own shit on my hair. Oh and management didn't even care to help me with my issue she has poor customer service skills or problem solving skills.
