I received two reminders via text leading up to the day of my appointment, which I appreciate. When I walked in, I immediately noticed the cleanliness and chic look of the salon. The front person welcomed me and notified the hairstylist I was there. I did not wait long. I met with hairstylist Natalie. She was great. I went in for a haircut, blow-dry, style, and conditioning treatment, but I also asked if she could touch up my roots and tone down my hair color. She looked at my hair, and we worked out a plan. Because I was asking for additional services, she was not able to do both, so I had to prioritize what I needed to be done first, which was my hair color. I should have told them over the phone about my additional service needs. As Natalie worked on my hair, she always kept me in the loop as to what she was doing and made sure I was comfortable. I asked about the toner process which she explained, the science behind it. I learned something new. I also liked that she had a nice hair style for herself. I don't trust hairstylist who can not style their own hair. I was served some hot tea (I was given 3 options: tea, water, and wine I think). When it came down to styling my hair, she asked me what my preferences were. I walked away a satisfied customer. I will be returning to use my Groupon voucher later this month. I love my hair's outcome; now, I look forward to seeing how Natalie layers my hair. Stay tuned for more updates.

It's become so distracting. I'm trying to have a quiet conversation with my nail professional and I cannot even hear myself THINK. The conversation from the hair styling area from this one stylist is SOOOO LOUD. Today was just too much. It's not the topics of conversation-- I don't care, but she truly yelled like an NCAA cheerleader the whole time. Ugh. My nails are PERFECT as always, but my eyes are still bulging out of my head from the noise. Vibe is a 5 in the nail spot and a zero in the hair spot. It reminds me of when I lived next to the El Train in Chicago. Please lower your voice. Please?

I bought my mom a gift card for Mother's Day, and Katie worked both of us in quickly for side by side pedicures. My mom has vericose veins and hammer toes and a few things that make her embarrassed to have anyone handle her feet - Katie was so gentle and did not allow my mom to feel self conscious at all. I would go elsewhere for a spa pedicure. I should have looked into this more before booking, but…read morethe places where hair stylists also do pedicures are usually not very good. Stick with a day spa or other place where there are designated nail people. The person who did the pedicure was very nice, but the polish was not applied correctly and there was minimal filing. I was left with oil all over my legs. And I don't think I have ever been to a place that cuts the cuticles. It increases risk of infection and they should ask beforehand, even if they choose to do it. The website explicitly says that cuticles are pushed back. Cuticle work was not great in other spots. One and done.

It's only been open since the summer, but the owner (Jessica) has been doing hair for like 16+ years. She matched my hair color so well, even without having to bring out a color swatch...I was super impressed. Her and her associate even teamed up to get my hair color on pronto for even application (I have a lot of hair). Bonus for NOT over trimming my long hair, even though I know it wasn't her personal preference for me. The salon itself is cozy and has those little details that make your visit comfortable, like drinks, chocolates, a clean bathroom, and a purse hanger at every station!! I also loved that they use/sell a more natural & cruelty free hair care line called Kevin Murphy.
