Donnell is a very talented massage therapist. I've been seeing her for 3 years now to relieve…read moreupper back and shoulder pain that I get from stress, tension and an active lifestyle. She has the rare ability to intuitively know where the tension is in my body and work to release it and bring balance. I leave each session feeling lighter. I'm a runner, and I've also visited her after particularly long training sessions and she does a great runners massage as well. I think deep tissue is Donnell's specialty, and that's all I've ever asked for. She applies a good amount of pressure without it being too much. She's located within Hair Innovations and Day Spa, and the room she holds massages in is nice, comfortable and quiet. Unlike some massage therapists I've visited, Donnell gives you the full hour on the table (she doesn't count the time she takes to talk to you about how you're feeling both before and after the massage). As far as price, she's comparable to most spas, and frequently has discounts and promotions. For the level of service and quality of massage it's well worth it.

My mom really wanted a Thai massage ever since she had one while visiting me in LA. So while I was…read morein town during the holidays, I thought I could try to find a spot that can do it so she can get regular massages. The few places I called around did not specialize or have anyone that can do it. I appreciated the honesty. When I called this place, they said yes, they do Thai massages. So great, I booked an appointment for her, but went with 60 minutes just in case it wasn't great. I have to say that pulling up to the building made me want to turn around and skip the appointment. But my mom wanted to push forward so we went in. The inside is a bit more welcoming, but still, it didn't feel right. The lady that did the massage and greeted us had a hard time understanding our questions. We had to repeat 60 minutes and I had to confirm it's a Thai massage with very firm pressure. She was confused then said yes. That didn't leave me with a lot of confidence. Nevertheless, I left my mom for her massage and came back within an hour. She told us that it was the worst massage she has ever had and that she repeatedly asked for firmer pressure but possibly due to her lack of skill and understanding, it went unchanged. I should have listened to the Yelp reviews and not the Google reviews.

I went there once and it was very deep pressure and I had an issue after that so I decided to check on the license and they will not give out the information. The person said that they only do deep pressure, fyi. You cannot check the information by business name with LARA. A real massage therapist and owner should have no problem giving out this info. They are required to post it in the office as well, so if you choose to go here, ask to see it and see if it looks like it was printed on their home computer. My physician recommended treatments for muscle spasms across my upper back area. The space is very clean and well thought out. Her table was nice and warm and felt great on a very cold January day....as for her work, my wife is much better versed than I on the finer points of the craft, and she felt it was excellent...as did I albeit from a novice perspective. We highly recommend NH and I would also say that scheduling well in advance is important as I am sure this is a busy practice, especially during the summer season. You will be very happy with your experience here.
