I was very pleased to meet with Sharie for a wig fitting. I have had a problem with iron deficiency and then medicine that caused hair loss for over two years now before going to skin ,hair dermatologist, who gave me RX for hair growth in October 2018. My hair is growing,but very slowly. I've been wearing hats everywhere, kinda tired of that. Bought couple wigs on line from a popular site, - not real looking enough for me. I'm also a hairstylist, who keeps her license ,but do not work at it anymore. I'm a breast cancer survivor from 1995 ,I lost all my hair and had to shave my head, for me it was devastating , because I was a working hair stylist, also worked at the Vision Center at Walmart too. I wore head scarves and sock caps to work, no wig. I have gone though Chemotherapy and radiation also. I've been through many other close scares, that Glory to God!! turned out to be nothing. So went to Studio One in Stevensville this past week April 2019. Sharie, and Treasa were very helpful and wonderful with all my questions . Very pleasant atmosphere and really felt comfortable there, Treasa really helped me with questions about the different prosthesis they had on display there. Sharie brought 3 wigs in the private room for me and the 4 th one was IT! Had all I wanted in a wig, color,length,cut .. that I told her with each of the other wigs , I liked or not cared for as we discussed the look or feel of them,prices too. The one I'm buying is comfortable ,cooling and feels great and looks real also very much like my hair before the hair loss --including the color! VERY PLEASED!!! While I was there they called , for me , and found Humana would not pay for the wig. Well that was kinda expected ,it was ok because they, Studio One , offered options to pay that worked for me. Now while I was there , I called. . ( Sharie had the number to call right there ) my Humana Insurance to ask when was I eligible to get another Breast prosthesis and mastectomy bras.. turns out I get 3 bras every quarter and I can get another prosthesis in July.!! ( I haven't had one since 2017 I got at Van's Medical)...so I was elated!! ) They had my size ,brand name and colors!! Woohoo . I'm also going to purchase soon a swim suit as mine is getting to look faded from chlorine . I am truly Blessed to of made that appointment with Studio One . I am a very satisfied customer for life. Being diagnosed with breast cancer at a really young age was terrifying, and dealing with the upcoming side affects of treatment was overwhelming. I was blessed to have been referred to Studio I for a consultation about the loss of my hair and what I would need to do at that point. I met with Sharie and immediately felt comfortable. She took the time to let me express my fears and sadness about what was going to happen and set me up with something that would make sense and be good for me. When the time came that I needed to get my wig and shave the rest of my hair, she was more than understanding and patient with how difficult it was for me. Over the years I have gone back to get my bras and prosthetics. I have also worked with Lori and Trisha. Everyone who works there has a passion for work they do and a true heart for the patients they help. This is a difficult field to work in, and their compassion and dedication never changes. I wondered into Studio 1 Boutique shortly after my diagnosis of breast cancer. I had not started treatments yet, and was still fairly unknowledgeable of what to expect going forward. All I knew for sure is that I was nervous, apprehensive and about to venture into a whole new chapter of life; a chapter to which I was not looking forward. After that first visit, I knew I'd found the place to go IF I was going to need a wig. A few weeks into my chemo treatments, I decided to set up an actual consultation to learn more about hair prosthesis. Laurie helped me out and made me feel very comfortable as I tried on different hair pieces. As I spent time with her, it was clear that she was a professional in her line of work. Not only that, she was well informed about the various types of cancer treatments and chemo meds. She was kind, truly caring, and I never felt as if I was taking too much of her time. Because I didn't need the wig yet, Laurie took down my information and noted my wig selection. I was to let her know when I wanted her to place the wig order. Weeks later and still unsure, I stopped into the salon, without an appointment, mind you, to see the wig I'd selected again. Laurie greeted me, retrieved the wig, and let me confirm my choice. She was unbelievably patient with me. She placed the order, and just a week later, I walked out of the salon with a beautiful head of hair. Within a few days, I was totally comfortable with how the wig felt, fit and looked. My friends love it and can't believe how natural it looks.
