I had a not so wonderful haircut in Sandy Utah. But I came to find out there was a Great Clips near me that was part of the same franchise owner. I cannot tell you how wonderful Heather is! Stay away from Michelle!!! I have had long hair for most of my life. Usually when I go in for a haircut I only remove maybe 1-2 inches. When I walked out of the salon, I had lost almost 7 inches of my length which was NOT what I asked for. This time, I wanted to do something a little different. New year, new me! I felt like I came in for a fairly simple haircut. Just wanted to cut off a couple inches of dead ends, add some layering for dimension, and blend the face framing. I get sat down in the chair and explained what I wanted; Michelle seemed like she understood. She started cutting off the two inches, made some small talk. Then, she started with the layers. There was absolutely NO precision in the cuts. She started to remove 1-2 more inches with each new cut. Even after Michelle had cut a section she continued to take more and more off. At this moment, I couldn't really see what damage had been done. Once she was finished "blending" the layers, this is where the damage was dealt. Again, just wanted the framing to blend with the rest of my hair. I was MORTIFIED. I called my sister over to look at it, I could tell she was shocked too. We calmly tried to explain to Michelle what was wrong, but she didn't see an issue with her work. While holding back tears, and my sister holding back her laughter, we left the salon as fast as we could. In this situation, it is difficult to say something when the damage has already been done. We called the GreatClips at the Dinosaur Crossing location, and they were quick to fix the atrocious wack job. The stylist there, Kat, was so nice, informative and extremely helpful! For a last minute hair cut Michelle didn't disappoint. I was in a frenzy to get a haircut during the holiday hussel and bussel. I read a couple of reviews and downloaded their app. Got in the waitlist and headed that way. Was greeted by friendly staff Michelle and another girl. Was told the wait times and they were accurate about that. I have to say for a place that doesn't do BARBER style cuts, and just fast cuts, Michelle Killed it! One of the best haircuts I e had in a long time. Let's just say I've saved her info and she will def be my go to when in a hurry and can't get in with my regular guy! read more

I decided that a more appropriate name for this salon is Not-So-Great Clips. I just went to Julie and she basically butchered my hair - with very uneven lengths framing my face. I will never go back again. I guess the first red flag was when there was 0 wait time for a hair appointment. Lesson learned! read more

Really poor customer service with the lady taking names this evening. Asked to put my 4 boys on the list, but said I had to sign up online. When I called earlier in the day to see if they could accommodate us, nothing was mentioned about online sign ups. My phone had zero service in the parking lot, so I asked to be put on the list manually and she was very upset and visually agitated with me. After collecting my name and number, she wanted unnecessary information. I told her she didn't need certain info, and she refused to put my sons on the list. If being polite to a customer is difficult, and they're unwilling to make things easy, I'm really glad I didn't let them cut my kids' hair! read more

Stylist nice but I am going to hotel to wash my hair. Asked for slicked back style. So much pommade hair is greasy and dark. Whereas I am platinum blonde. I had asked the stylist to make sure that my hair would remain touchable... no one would touch my hair!!! I look like French fries oil was used to style my hair. Went in for a haircut. I was told there were three people ahead of me and the wait time would be half an hour. It was a bit of a wait, but I was fine. Soon a customer was served which put me at number two. Then a gentleman came in. He was told there were three people ahead of him (including me) and was told the wait time. He then requested a specific hair stylist. This was apparently a smart move on his part because he was seen immediately. I was furious. Why have a first-come-first-serve policy if you can flatter a hair stylist and skip to the front of the line. I'll give my money to another salon in St. George. read more

My son has muscular dystrophy and is confined to a wheelchair. He has a noninvasive respirator which requires him to suck on a hose every time he wants to breathe. He cannot wear a mask because of this respirator. He was denied service for him to get a haircut and they absolutely refuse to let him and even when I explain the situation. I have filed a complaint with the department of justice for an ADA violation and I have an appointment tomorrow with an attorney. Somebody told me I should contact you first and see if we can handle this without a lawsuit but all I got was a form letter response telling me hoe sorry you are. About a month ago I went to Great Clips in St. George, Utah. The stylist I got was a lovely young lady named Makayla. Since I moved to St. George two years ago, I have been to 7, yes 7 hair salons. Unfortunately for me every single one of them has butchered my hair. Until now. I have short hair so I didn't think it was too difficult to understand how I wanted my hair trimmed. Makayla knew exactly what I wanted and did a beautiful job. When she was finished she did something I have NEVER seen done before, she actually measured every side of my hair for future reference...wow! I am planning on going to see her very soon. My son had his haircut today by Amy. It is hands down the WORST haircut he has ever had. She butchered him! He has bald spots from the clippers and he asked for half an inch off the top and she took 4! He looks like he's getting ready for boot camp! She has no business cutting anyone's hair. He has had other stylists cut his hair from this location and have done a great job but beware of Amy!! She is terrible!! read more

My son needed a haircut desperately so I drove to Great Clips . Once my son realized that we were here to get his hair cut he got upset and wouldn't get out of the car , it took me 5 min to bribe him and convince him that it wouldn't hurt . We were immediately greeted by Natosha Anthony I told her that he was very nervous . She took extra time washing his hair was very gentle , he loved it, she talked to him the whole time and made him feel very comfortable it probably his best hair cut ever . Brought my four and five year old boys here for haircuts, a little wary and nervous because of our experiences at a Great Clips in Salt Lake. Our time here was completely different! The stylists were kind, smiling, and personable, and they cut the boys' hair quickly and efficiently, but still made them look great. The boys had a great time conversing with the stylists and left feeling handsome and confident. Super rude girl at the front desk. I work in customer service and the first thing you should do when a customer walks in is smile and greet them. I walked in and received just a death glare. She didn't say anything and just looked at me until I said I was there for a hair cut. Her response is an annoyed "did you check in online." Not knowing what that is I told her no and she told me it's going to be 40 minutes and basically acting like it pained her to talk to me. I come back in ten minutes later asking if I can book an appointment for later while she had started cutting someone's hair and she half glanced at me with annoyance and said they don't take appointments and to just check the wait time later. No smile or friendliness the entire time. I'm not going to pay 20 bucks for something I could do at home with scissors to someone who clearly didn't want me there. Don't work in customer service if you can't stand customers. read more
