She has spent many years of her career flying to New York to get special training from the Bumble and Bumble national corporate office. Having just moved to town, I took to Google to read reviews to find a good salon and found Salon Khroma. It caught my attention because Khroma is Greek for Color. Unique Name! Salon Khroma is super easy to get to, it's fabulously decorated to make you feel comfortable instantly when you go in. I got a my hair cut and colored by Natalie, who couldn't have done a better job getting everything exactly the way I wanted! She was totally personable, fun and knew exactly what she was doing. Moving back from Salt Lake to St. George, one of my biggest disappointments was leaving my stylist behind. In fact, I kept thinking I'd make the time to get up there'd and see her but time marched on and my roots grew in and I was left looking a hot mess. Turned to trusty yelp and found a promising sounding salon that has a 20% off yelp offer, so I figured I'd give it a go. I had the pleasure of having my appointment with Spencer, who is new to the salon, but was obviously hired for his talent. He was a bit tentative, but exacting. He took his time but it was worth it. He took special care correcting my color and gave me exactly the cut I wanted, just by looking at a small photo on my phone. I am spending the summer in St. George and have had two mediocre salon experiences in this town until I found Brittany Moore's (Owner/Stylist) Salon Khroma in a google search. The reviews said, "if you want a salon that is different than all the rest check out Salon Khroma" and boy were they right. This salon is immaculately clean, stylish, peaceful, and has a staff of stylists that were hand picked by the owner because they are "skilled and passionate." Natalie (stylist) did an amazing job cutting my hair and Brittany did a superb job at reviving the mediocre manicure and spa pedicure that didn't last a week from the other salon. My wife went to Salon Khroma last year and really liked it. But she's kind of "frugal," so wasn't sure she should go back. For Christmas, I found the coupon on yelp and bought it. Today was her third visit, each with a different stylist. We've really liked each stylist and today's--Katelyn-- was the very best! I usually like her haircut better the day after the appointment, but it looks great even today! I would highly recommend Salon Khroma and any of the stylists, but especially Katelyn. I've been to this salon twice; first experience (haircut with Vanessa) was lovely and is the reason for the stars above. Unfortunately, my most recent experience has left me disappointed and frustrated. I booked a highlight (I already have balayage but my roots had grown out considerably) to even out my overall cover and brighten my hair for the summer. I immediately felt comfortable with Morgan and felt we were on the same page about what I was going for. She asked if I was looking for partial or full highlights and I said full. (I have pretty thick hair so it always requires more bleach than stylists plan for, so maybe that was part of the problem here?) Regardless, when we were done my hair was super super blonde at the ends but the roots remained dark; *and* there wasn't really a noticeable difference around my face/roots that anything had been done. I wanted to give Morgan the benefit of the doubt and my first experience here was solid, so I left the salon hoping the roots might brighten up after some washes over the next couple of days. It didn't. I have NEVER been the girl who goes back to the salon asking for her hair to be "fixed," but I spent some money on this, it was a birthday treat to myself, and I really wanted to feel good about my hair. So, I emailed the salon at the same address I had corresponded with previously and explained my feelings/the situation 3 days after my initial appointment asking to come back in. I didn't hear anything from the salon for over a week (even though I know this is a functioning email address because I've received replies from the same address), so I called to follow up. The first receptionist I spoke with said I could likely come in for a color correction and that I could talk to Morgan about it and it would probably be covered or they could reimburse. The next day, I missed Morgan's call but she left me a voicemail, I called the salon back, and then spoke with a different receptionist. This receptionist said Morgan was busy, but that they have a 1 week policy for the correction to be covered. I explained that I had already reached out within a week *and* that the receptionist the night before said it would be covered. The receptionist offered to have Morgan call me back but that she had already talked to Morgan about it and she said it was too late to have it corrected. So, I said 'yes, have her call me back,' though at this point I don't know how comfortable I feel returning to the salon--and Morgan has not called me back/I haven't heard from the salon since. Bottom line: Customer relations could have MASSIVELY improved a situation which really shouldn't have been a big deal. If your stylist nails what you're looking for, you'll probably be okay. If not, good luck getting it corrected. I'm not frustrated with Morgan about the misunderstanding in what I was looking for; but I'm really annoyed by/disappointed in the way the salon handled the whole thing. Needless to say, I'm back to the drawing board searching for a great go-to hair salon in St. George. Bummer. read more

I have naturally curly hair which can be problematic for even the most experienced stylist-even those who say they are "really comfortable" with it. This salon is the best! My stylist was Morgan and she gave me the cutest haircut. I have had so many compliments on it! One other item I'd like to share was how impressed I was that my stylist listened to me. I have a very severe allergy to gluten and I have to be so very careful about anything I put into or on my body. This brings me to hair color. I talked to Morgan about my dilemma and how much I'd like to have my hair colored but the product needed to be gluten free. The next day I received a text from Morgan that she had found a gluten free hair color line and she sent me the color chart. I didn't end up going in for hair color yet as we aren't quite sure the product is GF. I was so impressed with Morgan and her willingness to help me. Schedule your hair appointment with Spencer- you will not be disappointed. You will probably have to wait at least a month to see him (that should give you a clue as to how good he is!)- but it is absolutely worth it. He really took the time to listen to what I wanted, get a feel for my hair's texture and type, and reviewed it with me to make sure he was understanding what I wanted. I had never dyed my hair before, so I was nervous about my decision to go ombré. But he did an incredible job- I was so happy with the color and cut- he nailed it! I have really long, thick hair, so it took a lot longer than I anticipated to have it done. But I never felt rushed- in fact, he stayed well past closing time to painstakingly blow my hair out and style it beautifully, reassuring me that he was happy to do it when I expressed concern over taking up his free time. I've been going back now for 18 months and I've been more than pleased after each cut and touch-up with the quality of work and friendliness of the staff. read more

Being new in town, I went after reading some glowing reviews on Yelp. It was hard to leave my old stylist behind after 10 years and maybe that is part of why I found my experience at Salon Khroma lacked a lot. I made the appointment for my birthday, wanting a fresh clean look for the coming year. While filling out the new client info at the front desk, I was excited to put (Today!) after my birth date on that particular line, hoping I'd get a warm smile and a "Happy Birthday!" from the assistant. But...nothing. Minor. My major problem with the experience was that I gave my stylist the artistic freedom to do whatever they wanted as long as it looked professional. I mean, new city, new year coming up, and a new stylist, it's all different so let's do something different! So, after an hour, I ended up looking exactly the same as when I went in, minus $25. I couldn't believe it took an HOUR for that. Maybe my stylist hasn't had that much experience cutting men's hair, but still... I was spoiled by my previous stylist who could have me in & out and looking fantastic in 20 mins... I would probably hesitate to recommend this place to men. My experience at Salon Khroma was ok. I went in to get color and partial low lights for my hair. I asked for rich chocolate and it turned out the colour was too close to black. I waited to see if it would get lighter and it did not. I decided to give them a call and they said they will give me a call back regarding the issue I have. I have been living in St George for a year now and have finally found the place to get my hair done and the stylist to do it. I went in for a full foil and a cut. Spencer did an amazing job! My hair couldn't have possibly turned out better than it did. It is exactly what I asked for! The staff are friendly and inviting and it doesn't take three months to get an appointment, which is what I am used to doing for stylists as fabulous as Spencer. Another perk is that they carry and use Bumble and Bumble products (and Paul Mitchell dyes). Doesn't get much better than that in my opinion. I have lived in St George for three years and have not had a decent hair cut to date. The last time I went to a budget salon, they murdered my hair. I went home and cried. This salon had such great reviews, and a hot deal through Yelp, I decided to give it a try. Spencer cut and colored my hair. I liked it so much, I called my husband and had him come over to get a haircut too (he has ask not had a good cut since we moved here). I was planning on going back to Spencer on a more permanent basis until I received an email from the salon a week or so ago. They are raising their prices - by 20%, I think it said! Too bad. I am a very particular when it comes to my hair, so finding a new stylist is very scary for me. We just moved here at the end of 2017 and I finally came upon this salon after a lot of research. Making an appointment was pretty easy, I was able to schedule it here on yelp. By the next day I had a confirmation email and the nerves began. I booked an appointment with Morgan. I arrived at the salon and was pretty blown away by their amazing atmosphere. Morgan immediately approached me and knew exactly who I was even though I booked the appointment online. I expressed my nerves for finding a new stylist. She completely put me at ease and listened to my ideas. She started cutting and let me know what she doing. She gave me some of her own input and I was super down for it, which is not normally me(I like staying in my comfort zone). She literally turned my hair into something I never would have pictured it as. It's legitimately a hair masterpiece. She truly is amazing at what she does. The conversation was flowing and she made sure I was comfortable the whole time. I just cannot thank her enough for not only easing my nerves but for guiding me out of my comfort zone. I have had the same hair stylist for over two decades and I never thought I would find another person like her, but I can honestly say after only one visit Morgan has surpassed every expectation I had. My experience at Salon Khroma was not great. I had scheduled an appointment ahead of time to get bangs and when I got there the stylist seemed super rushed for time. I had asked for baby bangs (and brought pictures for reference) and she refused to cut them that short. When I asked for shorter bangs the stylist said that they only scheduled 10 minutes for my entire appointment and she didn't have time to fix them. I ended up having to go home and cut them my self. Very easy to book online with whichever stylist you'd like. Morgan really was great. She listened to what I wanted, took my hair type into consideration as to what would work, and it looks great! She has done an amazing job on my hair several times, which includes, darkening, lightening, extensions, and then pixie cuts. She also does great on my mans hair.
