This is a tough review! The person that actually cut my hair was GOOD! She listened and did what I asked. This was a $25 no frills cut. I asked about blow drying and was told a finger dry (not using a brush) is free. However, once they pick up a brush it COSTS. And the cost was $35!!! That's RIDICULOUS!!!!!!! That's more than the haircut cost??? So, the way I see it, Great Clips is cutting into their employees' tips while simultaneously taking advantage of their customers by OVERCHARGING for a decent blow dry. I tipped well anyway. Went in this morning at about 1030, my regular stylist Marci was not there, so I took the next available stylist, I told her what I wanted and snip snip she was done ready to send me home with wet driping hair, so I said can you dry it, she dries it and I realize she did not give me a proper hair cut and asked her trim some more off the sides she does it, long story short I get home and realize the bangs have not ben trimmed at all. read more

I've been to this location before and had a decent experience but tonight was so bad I'll never go back. The lady spent 5 minutes on my hair, only trimmed the back and even that she didn't do well. Totally uneven. The sides and front needed to be evened up and she didn't even check them much less trim them. I even said something and she threw out a lame excuse. I've been coming here for about 2 years now. The hair dressers are amazing, hair cuts always comes out amazing and the customer service is great! The ISSUE, I have is the front desk lady, everytime me and my spouse check in online then come to the salon, she had a massive attitude and judgment about the names and how " they need to be put in ". When going online it had the options for how many people, I check two and put in our names, she says we do it wrong everytime and that it has to be put in separately. Yesterday on 6/21 I was getting my hair trimmed and I could see the front desk receptionist sitting behind me staring and judging me. I attempted to check in online but it does not work when the shop is closed but it certainly had its advantages. I waited almost 45 minutes to get in the chair while those that did online got seated in about 5 minutes. Thus, Check in early, get out in a timely manner. When I asked the "stylist " if she know how to cut my hair in a certain style, she assured me she did. After she was done, I told her one side was longer than the other side of of my head. Instead of saying she would correct HER screw-up, she tells me "it's what I asked for". As she took off my covering, I told her it looked horrible but she would have to fix it. She then replied to me in a VERY rude tone, "WE'RE DONE HERE"! So I got out of the chair and walked out. As I was headed towards the door saying "I've never been treated so rudely here". After almost 16 years of being a customer at that store, the manager calls me on my cell to tell me I was no longer welcome at horrible...I mean, great clips without finding out my take of what happened. If this is how they do customer service, I will make it my mission that every person I know the treatment I received at Horrible...sorry, great clips. I would not recommend the stylist by the name of TAMMY. I witnessed some unnecessary force to cut a small childs hair as he screamed in terror and I feel that it was not only needed but I did not appreciate having to witness it. Without going into the details to protect her family and the family of the small child, I will be contacting corporate to ensure they are aware of her actions more so even then the publics awareness. I'll start by saying not having a manager close is not a good idea! I decided to get my hair cut, after I was called on very rudely I went over to sit and the girl seemed agitated to start. She asked how I wanted my cut. I explained in a normal tone. She began to cut my hair and in a very rough manner started pushing the clippers into my head and going very fast! I pulled away and asked if she was upset or something!? She replied "NO IM JUST FINE!" Rudely. So I said ok because your being a bit rough! I sat back hoping she would ease up knowing I brought to her attention she was being rough. She began cutting again and forcing my head around and assulting me at this point!! I pulled away and said "are you sure you're ok because now you're hurting me and forcing my head!" She again replied "I'm FINE I SAID!" As she tried to grab me again, I pulled away and I replied obviously something is wrong with you and I'm not going to let you continue to escalate your behavior and force me around in an abusive manner and continue to assault me! I asked for the manager as I was told there was no manager working. I then said I need someone else to cut my hair and finish this ( if this girl didn't start I would have just walked out)! So another staff member stepped up and brought me over to finish my cut.This is extremely unprofessional and uncalled for behavior! I never in my life have had an experience like this! I wrote an email giving the business the opportunity to correct the behavior and this issue. Mike the owner called me and was extremely unprofessional and combative on the phone. He accused me of threatening him simply due to my comment, if I go back and see this girl working obviously you condone this behavior and I'll share my experience online. He continued to be belligerent with me and told me "Don't you tell me how to run my business!" He continued to talk down to me so I expressed he was extremely unprofessional and my comment was not a threat it was a promise to warn others of the practices the owners Mike apparently condones! I explained I'll be disconnecting the call as Mikes behavior was escalating quickly! So I hung up on this immature individual! So here I am following up with my promise Mike! How's that for a "threat!" You need to learn customer service skills and Great Clips needs to review you as a franchisee! You won't get another dime of my money Mike! Vacationing at a friend's and needed a hair cut. Wasn't sure at first, shop is in a shopping center, but WOW, I got the best haircut I have had in years. My latest experience with this location is, I should have run away fast. I've been growing my length for months to get it where I wanted it and I told the young lady (don't remember her name, she wore bright red lipstick) I wanted to keep the length and only needed a 1/2 inch off. So, 4 inches later... She didn't have a conversation with me and acted like she was asleep on her feet. The one time she "woke up" and said, so how was your day? It wasn't even noon yet . I've been to this location other times and got exactly what I asked for. Holly and Ashley were wonderful , but I don't know where they found this person. Stylist did not listen to instructions given causing horrible results then said "oops, not much we can do to fix it at this point". The manager didn't even give me the courtesy to come talk to me. He "was on break eating his sandwich". When I told the stylist "really, the manager won't come out to talk to me?", she said "Well, he is not in the hospitality buisness".
