The way these people can't follow a simple picture for inspiration is insane! I don't think they know how to cut curls because they BOTCHED my cousins hair cut taking away his curls left with an uneven cut that wasn't even styled properly. This place is by far the worst place I have never been to. All I asked was for a trim, he completely hacked my hair and it was so uneven. I returned 20 minutes later and he had no idea what I was talking about and said he will fix it. He did not fix it, he made it worse !!!!! I have never left a review before,but I had to for this one. I called before I wanted to come in and they said you have to go to the website and check in. Ok, did that. Go to Great Clips and the woman took 15 minutes checking us in like she had never used their computer system before. My kids were loosing patience and I ask did it even mattered that I checked in online? Finally we are seen and my daughter goes first. I said "keep her bangs long and just a 1/2 inch off the rest of her head. Make layers around her face to frame it." The bangs were ok, the layers around her face were uneven and the rest of her head was a complete mess. Not even at all. There is a picture of her head from the back after we got home and showered and blown dry. My poor son had it worse. His haircut was done by a different woman. I told her "number 1 on the sides and to keep it long in the top because we comb it forward and spike the front tips." He ended up with no tips and a huge poof ball on the back.. I mean, WTF? Almost like a flat top. So luckily I was able to shave the poof ball on the back of his head. Took off an inch and a half. The front is too short to fix. I'm so upset I went there. I did end up paying full price for their service and tipped them each a two dollar tip. I was in shock for my son, I almost cried on the way home. Never will I step foot in there again!! We've been coming here since moving to Oakley in 2001. The place is just like any other Great Clips chain salon. Clean and presentable. Plenty of magazines to look through whilst waiting your turn. The place can be busy at times. My hubby and kids all get their hair cuts here. Its always a hit or miss on the cut. The hubby always likes his neckline rounded and seems to always without fail have to remind the stylist at the end to round it off. And he hates having to repeat himself to a stylist. He thinks they should be listening in the first place when siting down and instructing what kind of cut. There have been times that he's come home with areas that are a bit longer than others. I tell him to go back but he insists on me trimming it! LOL, well then pay me and I'll cut it! The kids get simple cuts and nothing fancy. I am too skeptical to have anything complicated done from the stylists in that place. Sorry, just in my opinion they are not qualified. I will only get my hair cut IF its just a simple trim and if money is low. When My hair was all the same length it was ok for me to have it cut there. Not now. read more

Regardless if the hair cut was $20 or not, it's literally two different cuts on each side of his head. It's awful. And she immediately put so much gel in it we couldn't tell until after leaving. He went back the next day and they said to fix it he would have to pay for an entire hair cut all over again. So incredibly unprofessional and they clearly don't know how to cut hair! read more
