Took my kid in for a haircut asking for a simple fade and a #2 up top and they left my boy all patchy some hair short some long with no fade. Worst experience from a barber shop we ever had and the tough part was that it was $20 of hard earned money for the service. The vibe was they clearly had one experienced barber and one that needs to go back to school to learn the basics of pride in their work. I can't believe that this was acceptable. read more

Went in wanting a regular boys cut for my son. We asked for Terri as we saw Terri in Burlington once before and she was great but said she was usually in OH, but she wasn't working that day. The person who did the cut seemed to understand what our son wanted when we explained and showed pictures. The cut was bad and when my husband pointed out the choppiness and asked her to blend it more, it got worse. Absolutely ruined my hair. A couple months ago they trimmed it up and it looked good, I had liked what they done. This time I had showed them a picture of what I wanted and they did something completely different. It looked absolutely nothing like the picture. I grew my hair out for a year and a half just for them to destroy it all in 30 minutes. A buzz cut that took 5 minutes afterwords to remove all traces of a pompous rich child hairstyle they gave me looked way better. I just couldn't do Kirkland anymore to get my haircuts, so I stopped into Great Clips off Hwy 20 in Oak Harbor- Whidbey Island. They took me right away and Sarah did a good job cutting my hair like I want it. Out the door in 20 minutes and $16. bucks. Came back 4 weeks later and Susy gave me an outstanding haircut. Again, $16 bucks and out the door in 20 minutes. Guess I'm a believer and will be back.... Lots of parking, eats nearby & Safeway Go for it! read more

Last straw. Will never be back. I only come here in tight situations when my main salon person is busy or booked up. I happened to get the Asian woman today. She did a solid job previously about a month back. This time I wanted the same cut. #1 on sides and back, blended into top with very minimal taken off the top and bangs. Hair wasn't blended with top, my neck was massacred with her small electric trimmer and too much was taken off my bangs. Lost a customer in me. I've learned my lesson. read more

Which I don't mind but it doesn't tell you that when you check in so you drive your 20 minutes to get there and they're not open. This is where I go for a haircut every month. Most of the stylists are friendly and competent. I've never needed to go back to get a cut fixed or had any big problems, plus they have the best price in town when compared to other walk-in establishments. I wish the turnover there wasn't so high, so I could continue to get cuts from the same person when I find one that I like. Just don't! They have screwed my sons's hair up multiple times. I decided to give them one last try and once again screwed it up. My husband decided to test his luck and went yesterday. It's not like he has some super special cut. It's basic and she still managed to screw it up. Didn't shave the neck completely, way longer on crown of head and uneven on the sides. He couldn't go back the same day and now he can't go today because they are closed due to everything shutting down in the state. read more

It is conveniently located and even if they are busy I have never had to wait longer than 10-15 minutes. You are also able to use their app to check yourself in even before arriving. Connie was very good. Patient & attentive. I have an inverted widows peak which is rare and can be difficult to cut if the hair stylist does not pay attention to the curve of my hairline. Let's start off by saying that I was racially profiled for being a Latina. The person with a pixie cut and tattoos everywhere was very rude and unprofessional!! I brought in my 3 year old for a hair cut and right away I can tell that when she looked at us she didn't want to attend us. My son got ticklish when she was putting on that cape or whatever it's called that goes over your body so you don't get hair all over. She just had a resting you know what face! She pinched his skin on the back of his neck and didn't apologize. I told her if she doesn't want to cut my sons hair she doesn't have to and her excuse was that if my som won't sit still she can't cut it. My son wasn't even moving. She hadn't even touched the top of his hair yet or anything. By the look of her face I decided not to let her even touch my son. She was unprofessional and told me to go to another place. Why would they offer kids haircuts if they don't like working with kids. It's no wonder this place has 3 stars. Look at the reviews. Save yourself the time and money. Do not come here. Go to ultimate cuts. Everyone is so friendly there. I'm glad I left and went elsewhere. This place should be called Nasty Clips instead! read more

Had my hair cut by Amy. I was in a bit of a time crunch when I called to make an appointment. She told me they don't do appointments but told me i could check in online so I wouldn't have to wait as long when I got there. when I got there had maybe a ten minute wait. Horrible! Connie did my hair and it was very uneven and choppy. I went back to have it fixed and the girl that was trying to fix it had to try two times to make it even and then I had to ask again for it to not look so choppy! Never going back. I've have really short hair for years, and finally made the decision to grow it out. So for almost 3 months I've been growing it out and not cutting it. So finally I got to a point where it was unruly, uneven, and needed to be evened out and trimmed somewhat. So I found a picture of what I wanted, and decided to stop in to have it cleaned up. Worst mistake I could have ever made today. I showed her the picture, she said okay, while I sat down there's a second female standing behind her just watching like a creepy stalker, no introduction, no this is so and so I've training her or whatever no clue who this chick was and why she was awkwardly standing behind me and the woman cutting my hair. So I get sat down, and the cape draped over me. She asked me what I had to clean up the underside, (me thinking my neckline) so I said a 1. So she grabbed the buzzers-clippers whatever your choice to describe what they use to shave you down, and i thought to myself, she's going to trim my neckline, no problem. NOPE. She buzzed right above my neckline up to my ear in one fail swoop. F^€£! As I'm trying to hold in the immediate swelling of tears in my eyes. At this point there's no way to remedy it. So I told her to give me a 1 all the way around like I normally did prior to deciding to grow my hair out. Not only do I now have to start over due to approx 3 inches being shaved off my head which I didn't ask for, but no apologies for fucking my hair up, still paid the 16$ no sympathy for the fact I'm about to fall apart in the chair of doom that I wasn't prepared for. If you want your hair butchered, your needs not met, and your wants not satisfied by all means have your hair cut here. Me however will choose to go somewhere else where the customer service is of a higher standard than this establishment, and where the hairdresser gives me what I want. read more

I'm not really a huge fan of Great Clips but Ana changed my mind. She was very friendly, fast but attentive, and made sure that she met my expectations. I could easily tell that she was experienced. Most of the barbers I have gone to just wanted to get you in and out of there. It was hard for me to find a barber that "cared" about what the customer needed; Ana made sure that I receive a great haircut. The results were amazaing! She gave me a good fade, and her blend was spotless. She kept her clippers cleaned and satized the entire time. I used to get bumps on the back of my neck but ever since I started going to her, I no longer have them. Overall, I was IMPRESSED with her work and craft, and I highly recommend her to anyone who wants amazing haircuts! read more
